Naruto: Kushina's Redemption, My Revenge

Chapter 28: Chapter 28: Carnage

In a village wiped out by bandits.

Chinya activated his Sharingan, confirming the number of bandits—thirty-four in total.

He set his sights on four bandits heading to fetch alcohol.

"Man, that felt damn good! Watching those two beg for their lives on their knees? So damn satisfying!"

"Tell me about it."

"But this place is kinda broke, man. After looting everything, we barely got anything. By the time it's our share, there won't be much left."

"This isn't bad at all. You forget the last village? We got absolutely nothing from that one."

"Don't sweat it. Didn't the boss already say there's nothing left to squeeze out of Rice Country? He's taking us to Moon Country next — that's where the real riches are."

...

Silent as a ghost, Chinya appeared behind one of them. A cold gleam of kunai flashed past and sliced across his neck.

The other two caught the familiar scent of blood and glanced toward their throat-slashed comrade.

That single glance became their final vision.

One after another, both bandits had their throats slit by Chinya.

The last bandit remained unaware of his companions' deaths, still excitedly talking about future plunder.

"I heard Moon Country's small like Rice Country, but loaded with cash! Hitting just one village over there might make us richer than every damn village we've robbed back home combined. We're gonna get rich, I'm telling you!

Just thinking about it gets my heart pounding. Life's really starting to look up. See? I told you this outlaw business has serious upside. Convinced now?

Hey, why aren't you guys answering?"

Still jabbering away, he noticed the others weren't responding anymore. In the firelight, he turned to look — and his skin crawled.

The three clutched at their throats, blood spilling from their mouths as they tried to speak — but with their windpipes slashed, all they could do was cough up more blood.

Suddenly,

A sharp pain struck the bandit's neck. Instinctively, he reached for it — warm liquid coated his entire hand.

Then the air vanished from his lungs. His face turned bright red before he collapsed, joining his comrades in death.

Chinya flicked blood off his kunai, glancing coldly at the corpses below.

Hmm... kinda gets the heart pumping.

"Thirty left," he muttered, then vanished into the darkness once more to continue his silent slaughter.

Chinya's plan was simple: eliminate stragglers first, then wipe out the remaining bandits all at once.

"29...26...23..."

He continued reaping lives.

Meanwhile, the bandits continued their rowdy celebration without a care.

"Huh? Where's Shin'ichi? Didn't he just go to take a piss? Why hasn't he come back yet?"

"Maybe he passed out drunk somewhere? Who knew his tolerance would drop so bad. Freakin' hilarious!"

"That doesn't feel right! Shintoku, Tsukasa, Ryuusuke, and Uya — they all went to get some booze and haven't come back either!"

"Fudo's gone too!"

The bandits didn't realize something was wrong until Chinya had already taken out so many of them.

The bandit leader quickly organized the remaining members, gathering them together to count heads.

Out of a total of 34 men, only 21 remained—thirteen were gone.

Without hesitation, the bandit leader shouted, "Grab your weapons!"

Leading his men, he began searching for Chinya.

When they saw their fallen comrades lying dead on the ground, chills ran down their spines.

So many killed in complete silence—this kind of unknown threat was the most terrifying.

[Earth Release: Earth Spike Spear!]

Chinya appeared behind the bandits, forming hand seals before pressing his hands to the ground.

Sharp rocky spikes erupted from the earth beneath the bandits, piercing several through their bodies.

Those who reacted quickly backed away to avoid the attack.

The bandit leader stared in horror at Chinya, standing in the shadows with his figure obscured.

He's a ninja!

In the Shinobi World (the ninja realm), even Genin held extremely high status—and that status came purely from strength.

Before the era of chakra, the highest respect belonged to the swordsmen.

These days, swordsmen could only be found in the Land of Iron—the last place holding onto that old way.

Even traditional warriors had begun studying chakra techniques, no longer focusing solely on swordplay.

These bandits were just regular guys. Against a ninja—even just a Genin—they didn't stand a chance.

Realizing their opponent was a ninja, fear spread among the bandits.

The bandit leader knew full well that if they retreated now, they would be picked off one by one. They had no choice but to fight back.

Besides, he believed this ninja couldn't be too strong—if he were, he wouldn't have relied on silent kills and ambushes.

"Don't panic! We outnumber him! He's alone! Don't lose control! Listen to my commands—we charge together! All of us at once!"

Steadying his men, the bandit leader roared, "Charge! Go!"

At their leader's command, all the bandits rushed forward toward Chinya in a chaotic mass.

Chinya's hands moved rapidly, forming seals.

[Fire Release: Great Fireball Jutsu!]

He summoned chakra into his throat and blasted a huge fireball from his mouth.

The frontmost bandits were instantly blown into the air, their bodies engulfed in flames.

"Don't stop! Keep going! If we get close enough, we can kill him! Retreat now and we're finished!" The bandit leader shouted from the rear, voice hoarse with urgency.

Chinya formed seals again.

[Water Release: Water Chaos Wave!]

He blasted a stream of water from his mouth toward the charging bandits.

Though the force of the water pushed them back, it didn't cause serious harm.

Puddles now flooded the ground. Most of the bandits were soaked to the bone.

After forming another set of seals, Chinya placed his hand on the water.

[Lightning Release: Rai Mei (Thunderclap)!]

Powerful lightning surged from both his hands, illuminating the dark surroundings.

Lightning surged through the puddles, zapping the bandits—smoke rose from their smoking bodies.

Chinya drew the Katana at his waist and charged straight ahead.

One by one, he beheaded the stunned, paralyzed bandits.

The bandits whose clothes remained dry stared at Chinya with shocked eyes. They hadn't even touched him, yet over half their group was already dead or wounded.

They couldn't possibly keep fighting now, could they?

Panicked, the bandits turned and fled blindly.

And only while escaping did they realize their leader had long since vanished.

After decapitating all the bandits he'd paralyzed with Lightning Release, Chinya muttered the number "9" under his breath before crouching low. With a powerful push from his legs, he launched forward like a bullet.

Thanks to three years of training at the Ninja Academy and an additional month of focused instruction under Orochimaru,

Chinya's current speed matched the level he had right after first mastering Thunder Breathing—even without using lightning chakra to enhance his body.

Like Shinigami, Chinya prepared to reap the last remaining bandits.
