Chapter 343: Chapter 343: Unseen Disasters

With Kingpin's resources, acquiring adamantium wasn't impossible, but all he could obtain were Secondary Adamantium alloys. True Adamantium and Proto-Adamantium were far beyond his reach, no matter how deep his connections ran.

Proto-Adamantium, the original material used to create Captain America's shield, is said to be absolutely the most indestructible item, it is exceptionally rare and nearly impossible to acquire. Both true adamantium and secondary adamantium were an attempt to recreate Proto-adamantium.

True Adamantium was also considered indestructible. This is the metal infused to Wolverine. It is nearly as strong or durable, but unlike Proto-Adamantium, True Adamantium can be reproduced. No one had ever successfully destroyed it.

Secondary adamantium, while significantly weaker, was still incredibly durable and far more cost-effective to produce.

Shin picked up the Secondary Adamantium in his hands and examined the batch. It mostly consisted of bullets, disposable tools, and even some broken fragments.

There was no doubt that these Adamantium bullets were designed to combat super-powered individuals. However, Adamantium's structure made it a one-time-use material—it couldn't be easily melted down and reforged. The cost of recycling would likely exceed the cost of acquiring fresh adamantium.

Essentially, while these items were crafted from high-quality materials, they were functionally disposable. Once shaped, they retained their form indefinitely but lacked any practical means of reuse.

Given enough time, Kingpin could likely acquire raw, unprocessed (liquid) adamantium. If he truly pushed his limits, he might even secure True Adamantium.

The only thing beyond his reach was the secret formula for creating Adamantium alloy, a closely guarded military secret of the United States.

But for Shin, none of that mattered. He didn't care whether the metal was unprocessed or forged. With the Munch-Munch Fruit, he could directly assimilate and transform any hard metal. His only priority was obtaining Adamantium as quickly as possible—and this was what Kingpin had managed to gather.

A swirl of black mist enveloped the metal, and Shin stored the alloys in his dark dimension.

Adamantium had countless applications. The simplest use? Integrating it directly into his bones. Even though Shin's body was already incredibly durable, adamantium's strength surpassed it entirely. Once fused, his bones would be nearly indestructible.

As for the potential drawback—being vulnerable to Magneto's magnetic manipulation—Shin wasn't concerned in the slightest. He had consumed the Rumble-Rumble Fruit, which granted him mastery over lightning. That alone was enough to interfere with Magneto's magnetic field control, allowing him to phase into an elemental state at will. Magneto would be powerless against him.

Of course, Shin was more interested in acquiring pure proto-adamantium. If he could consume it just once with the Munch-Munch Fruit, he would immediately decipher the alloy's formula.

After storing the metals, Shin turned his attention to intelligence reports.

Iron Man was still living the life of a playboy. Spider-Man hadn't even made an appearance yet. Daredevil was already active, while Hawkeye had just been recruited by S.H.I.E.L.D.

However, one particular piece of information caught his attention.

"General Ross has already started a new superhuman program? And one of the participants is Dr. Bruce Banner?" Shin chuckled. "Now, that's interesting."

Another entry caught his eye.

"Doom is planning to build a space station to observe solar storms. Was this a proposal from Reed?" A smirk formed on Shin's lips. "That guy is in for a disaster."

Reed Richards, also known as Mr. Fantastic, was a scientist whose intellect surpassed even that of Tony Stark in certain fields.

Unlike Iron Man's technology, which had a distinct sci-fi logic behind it, Reed's inventions often seemed like pure magic.

A machine that could observe other universes. A device that could supposedly travel dimensions.

His genius was undeniable, but it came with a major flaw—he lacked foresight. Unless he was dealing with the consequences of his own actions or facing an immediate crisis, his research tended to be reckless, often bordering on catastrophic.

Whenever Reed conducted experiments in a relatively peaceful time, disasters followed. Whether it was breaking into parallel worlds, unsealing ancient horrors, blowing up his lab, or provoking an alien invasion—it was almost guaranteed that something would go horribly wrong.

Doom, Reed's former classmate, recognized his scientific brilliance. Or rather, he admired Reed precisely because he himself was a scientific genius. However, what Doom didn't realize was Reed's tendency to create problems rather than solve them.

And he was about to pay the price for trusting him.

Shin clearly remembered the first Fantastic Four movie—especially that scene with a certain invisible woman who had trouble controlling her powers, forcing her to strip every time she wanted to disappear…

Ahem. That aside, the biggest victim of that film was undoubtedly Victor Von Doom.

Originally a self-made billionaire, Doom had believed in his old classmate's scientific expertise. He had poured his company's entire fortune into funding a space station, personally leading the mission to study a solar storm.

Then, disaster struck.

Reed had miscalculated—by a decimal point.

The experiment failed spectacularly. Doom's company collapsed overnight. Worse yet, his own body underwent an irreversible transformation.

To top it all off, his girlfriend left him… and got together with the very man responsible for his downfall.

Honestly, it was no surprise that Doom wanted to kill Reed. Who wouldn't?

"Still, it'll take a few months for the space station to be completed," Shin mused. "I can check it out when the time comes."

After all, he possessed Kryptonian blood. Exposure to a solar storm might actually benefit him.

As for potential mutations? Shin wasn't worried. With both the Munch-Munch Fruit and the Dark-Dark Fruit, he could manipulate and absorb any energy at will. Worst-case scenario, he could store the solar energy in his dark dimension and integrate it gradually.

How would he reach the space station? That was the easiest part.

He could control Doom directly.

Or, he could plant a Flying Thunder God mark on the spaceship, or even on one of the Fantastic Four.

But that was a problem for later. Right now, he had something else to deal with.

Shin turned to Kingpin and asked, "Do you have a way to contact General Ross?"

High-ranking American military officials were well-protected against mental manipulation. They carried devices designed to block psychic interference and underwent regular psychological screenings.

This was information Shin had only learned after taking control of Kingpin.
