My Real Job is Spying on Konoha, but I'm Also its Hokage

Chapter 52: Chapter 53: Teacher, You Have to Take Off Your Shoes

"That's all for today's class. Don't forget to do your homework when you get home," Eiichiro said, picking up his textbook and turning to leave.

"Yeah! School's out!"

"Hooray!"

"Let's go play games!"

A cheer erupted in the classroom.

Kurenai Yuhi ignored them, grabbed her school bag, and ran to Hagawa. But when she turned around, she saw Sarutobi Asuma.

"What are you doing?" Kurenai huffed. "Don't follow me."

"You misunderstand. I'm looking for Hagawa," Asuma said seriously.

"You want to fight him again?" Kurenai asked, her face showing her displeasure.

"No," Asuma shook his head. "I'm looking for him to train."

"Eh?" Kurenai stared, letting out a gasp of surprise. She clearly couldn't comprehend the change in Asuma; it was like he was a different person.

"He is indeed looking for me," Hagawa said, patting Kurenai's head. "Let's go train."

"Okay," Kurenai replied. Although she didn't understand what was happening, if Hagawa was doing this, he must have his reasons.

"..." Asuma watched the two's intimate display and couldn't help but sigh internally. He couldn't compete with Hagawa, so he could only give up on Kurenai. Perhaps this was the price of growing up. At six years old, Sarutobi Asuma felt he had aged considerably.

"Kakashi," Rin Nohara said as she packed her desk, "where are you going after class?"

"Training, obviously," Obito Uchiha answered first. "Rin, let's go play. Don't mind him."

"You guys go ahead." Kakashi stood up and walked towards Hagawa.

Rin noticed he was a little different from usual and subconsciously looked up.

"Is he going to challenge Hagawa again?" Obito pouted. "He got beaten so badly last time..." He trailed off, because he had fared even worse than Kakashi.

"Hagawa," Kakashi took a deep breath, "can I train with you?"

"Sure," Hagawa said, a little surprised, but... he wouldn't turn anyone away. Asuma could drop a Wind Release talent. Kakashi, on the other hand, could drop a Lightning Release talent and a Swordsmanship talent. In comparison, he was an elite mob.

"Let's go." Hagawa led the three of them to Tsunade's house. The open space outside, where the training equipment was kept, wasn't as large as a Konoha training ground, but it was more than enough for four people to train without being crowded.

Kurenai practiced her genjutsu. Asuma, like yesterday, plucked a leaf and began his Wind Release chakra nature transformation practice.

"Hagawa," Kakashi drew his short sword, "want to spar?"

"Sure," Hagawa agreed readily. His main focus was medical ninjutsu, but he hadn't neglected his genjutsu or the Konoha-style swordsmanship.

"You can't use Monster Strength," Kakashi said suddenly, his face changing as he remembered. If he used Monster Strength, he'd be defeated in one hit, which would render the sparring meaningless.

"I won't," Hagawa said casually. "I haven't even mastered Monster Strength yet, I'm just a beginner."

"...?" Kakashi's body stiffened. Just a beginner is this ridiculous? If he masters it, can I even beat him?

"Let's try a different sparring method," Hagawa said, taking out his katana. An idea struck him. "Let's fight in the trees."

"In the trees?" Kakashi came back to his senses. "Why?"

"Chakra control training," Hagawa said, glancing at Kurenai. "Let's go over there."

Kakashi's heart shook. Sparring while controlling chakra, doing two things at once—this was hellish difficulty. Is this how Hagawa usually trains? Kakashi's face grew solemn, but his eyes shone with excitement and anticipation.

The two of them stood on a tree trunk, leaning against it as they faced off.

Clang!

Kakashi blocked Hagawa's katana. But his focus was on the sword, causing his feet to become unstable, and he fell right off.

"Again!" Kakashi gritted his teeth and got back on the tree.

The sound of clashing steel rang out continuously. That day, he suffered the greatest blow since he was born.

The sun set, leaving only a layer of evening clouds in the sky. Tsunade left the casino with a gloomy face. Without Hagawa, she had lost for another day.

When she got home, she saw the four of them training and was taken aback. It hasn't been this lively in a long time.

Tsunade's gaze fell on Hagawa. His clothes were a little dirty. The one opposite him, Kakashi, was in an even worse state. He had bruises on his face, holes in his clothes, and his white hair was mixed with grass and dead leaves.

Tsunade's lips curled up slightly. Hatake Sakumo's fame overshadowed hers, but her student had defeated his son. It was just... Hagawa was using Konoha-style swordsmanship, which had nothing to do with her. Looks like I'll have to get him to learn Monster Strength sooner rather than later.

Tsunade then glanced at Asuma, a little surprised. Isn't he on bad terms with Hagawa? Why is he here too? Tsunade suddenly remembered something Sarutobi Hiruzen had said: Hagawa had learned the Will of Fire very well. She huffed and walked into the house.

"No more fighting," Hagawa said, noticing Tsunade in the distance and pulling away from Kakashi.

"Why?" Kakashi asked, gripping his short sword tightly. He had lost too badly today and didn't want to end it like this.

"I'm hungry," Hagawa said with a smile, sheathing his katana. "It's time for everyone to go home for dinner."

"..." Kakashi was at a loss for words. Shouldn't training be so intense that you forget to eat and sleep?

"See you tomorrow," Hagawa said, not giving him a chance to speak, and ran into the living room.

"Finished?" Tsunade asked, leaning back on the sofa in a lazy posture.

"Yeah," Hagawa glanced at her. "Teacher, why haven't you taken off your shoes?"

"Forgot," Tsunade said dismissively. "Hurry up and make dinner."

"Take off your shoes first," Hagawa said, shaking his head.

"You're so annoying." Tsunade rolled her eyes at him, still not wanting to move. "If you want to take them off, you do it."

"I'm not doing it," Hagawa raised an eyebrow. "They might be stinky."

"What did you say?" Tsunade immediately sat up, her beautiful eyes glaring, a terrifying aura erupting from her.

"You've been wearing them all day. You're telling me they don't smell?" Hagawa was completely unafraid.

"Of course not!" Tsunade said through gritted teeth. "I have the Yin Seal! If you don't believe me, smell them!" As she spoke, she lifted her leg. Her cropped pants ended at her calf, revealing a delicate ankle. Her fair foot was hidden in a high-heeled sandal, five toes lined up neatly, rosy and perfectly rounded.

"I'm not smelling them," Hagawa refused immediately.

"Get over here!" Tsunade said, clenching her fist.

"..." Hagawa turned and ran. But the next second, his vision blurred, and he crashed into a soft body.

"You little brat!" Tsunade pinned him with her thighs, her face fierce. "Today, I'll teach you what it means to respect your teacher!"

After saying this, she reached out with both hands and messed up Hagawa's hair.
