My Real Job is Spying on Konoha, but I'm Also its Hokage

Chapter 27: Chapter 27: A Drunken Tsunade

"Ah! That hit the spot!" Tsunade downed the entire pot of sake in one go, then slammed it on the table with a thud.

Sitting next to her, Hagawa felt a little dizzy from the mixed aroma of alcohol and perfume. The next second, he felt a thick fat buffer pad press down on his head. Tsunade wrapped an arm around him and said magnanimously, "Eat whatever you want! It's my treat today!"

Hagawa could understand why she was so happy. At the beginning, he had indeed bet against her, but not later on. If he bet against her every time, she would eventually catch on and feel like she was being tricked. The real reason for their success was a new Trait he had triggered.

[E-Rank Talent Trait: God of Gamblers]

Activation Condition: Guide Tsunade to nine wins.

Effect: Gambling luck increased by 100% from its base level.

Note: Cannot be synthesized.

He had to admit, Tsunade's luck was ridiculously bad. Only after his own gambling luck was increased by 100% could he barely neutralize hers.

"What are you spacing out for?" Tsunade asked, holding a piece of chicken to his lips. "Try the roast chicken."

"Thank you, Lady Tsunade," Hagawa said, eating the chicken in one bite.

"When are you free next?" Tsunade asked with a grin. After an afternoon of gambling, she had clearly come to see Hagawa as a genuine good luck charm.

"I still have to study medical ninjutsu," Hagawa said with a straight face.

"That's simple. I'll teach you," Tsunade said, taking a few more gulps of sake before letting out a comfortable sigh. This wasn't an offer to take him as a disciple, just simple guidance. Hagawa understood this. He wouldn't be able to learn her signature techniques like the Yin Seal or her monstrous strength. Even so, learning ordinary medical ninjutsu was more than enough. Plus, it would bring him closer to Tsunade. Perhaps one day, she would decide to make him her student. Due to some special influence, Shizune wasn't by her side; she was all alone. If he performed exceptionally well, it was possible he could become her student.

"Thank you, Lady Tsunade," Hagawa readily accepted. "After every medical ninjutsu lesson, I'll go to the casino with you."

"Not bad, very fair," Tsunade said with a laugh, ruffling his hair.

"..." Hagawa looked helpless. Stop patting my head!

"Hahaha, you're so much fun," Tsunade said, laughing even harder at his reaction. Her body swayed back and forth, the fair, smooth skin of her chest rising and falling, making Hagawa's eyes dazzle.

"Eat!" Tsunade turned her attention to the food and drinks on the table. Hagawa picked up his chopsticks and began to eat as well. The mix of alcohol and perfume grew stronger and stronger.

"Lady Tsunade," Hagawa hesitated for a few seconds before snatching the sake pot from her hand. "You've had enough to drink. We should be heading back." In his two lifetimes, he knew very well how troublesome drunk people could be. I'm just a kid! How am I supposed to carry Tsunade home?

"Wha... what... did you say?" Tsunade shook her head, her beautiful face flushed a deep, pure red, like a ripe honey peach radiating heat.

"It's time to go back!" Hagawa instinctively raised his voice.

"Back where?" Tsunade looked down at him, her eyes hazy.

"Home," Hagawa paused. "Where is your home?"

"Home?" Tsunade's heart jolted, and she subconsciously rubbed her eyes. This scene reminded her of Nawaki. The memory sobered her up considerably.

"Don't worry about me. You can go ahead," Tsunade said, reaching for the sake pot in his hand.

"No," Hagawa said, pulling it away.

"Give it to me!" Tsunade's eyes flashed with a sharp light, radiating an intense pressure.

"No," Hagawa said, unafraid as he understood her personality.

"You little brat!" Tsunade glared at him, then suddenly burst out laughing. "Alright, let's go. Time to go back and sleep." She stood up, paid the bill, and walked out of the izakaya with Hagawa.

It was early evening, and the streets were full of people. Upon seeing Tsunade, they greeted her enthusiastically, as if it were a large-scale fan meet-and-greet. In the ninja world, famous ninja were indeed like celebrities.

After walking for a while, Tsunade turned into a secluded alley, and it immediately became much quieter. Hagawa glanced around, curious. The original series never mentioned where Tsunade lived in Konoha, so he had no idea.

"Why do you want to learn medical ninjutsu?" Tsunade asked casually.

"I'm your fan," Hagawa said truthfully.

"No, you're not," Tsunade said, shaking her head. "Your reactions are completely different."

"I'm just more reserved," Hagawa said with a light cough.

"Who are you kidding?" Tsunade turned around, bent down, and stared at him. Hagawa was momentarily stunned. Her face was slightly flushed from the alcohol, her skin as flawless as a young girl's. Her slender waist was bent, stretching her top to its limit. Her entire being radiated the aura of a sexy, mature onee-san.

"I..." Hagawa thought for a moment and changed his answer. "I want to become the Hokage." I really want to make progress!

The overly standard answer made Tsunade pause. She vigorously ruffled Hagawa's hair and said, "Boring."

If it's so boring, why are you still patting my head? Hagawa was furious but didn't dare to say it. You don't believe me when I tell the truth, and you don't believe me when I lie. It's so hard for me!

Tsunade pulled her hand back and continued to saunter forward. After passing through a bamboo grove, a row of houses came into view.

"We're here," Tsunade said, her voice tinged with drunkenness. She asked casually, "Want to stay over?"

"No, thank you. I have to get back," Hagawa refused. He hadn't told Shinku or Kurenai beforehand; if he didn't go back, they would definitely worry.

"See you tomorrow," Tsunade said with an indifferent wave. She had only asked out of consideration for Nonō and as thanks for turning her luck around today. In reality, Hagawa wasn't special enough to warrant her deep concern.

"Goodbye, Lady Tsunade." Hagawa felt that today's progress had exceeded his expectations. If his system was a dating sim, he had probably already cleared the first stage.

Hagawa returned home. As expected, the moment he opened the door, he saw Kurenai.

"I went to the Konoha Hospital today and met Lady Tsunade," Hagawa said with a smile.

"Lady Tsunade?" Kurenai's expression immediately switched to one of excitement. "What happened?" She was Tsunade's real fan. More accurately, Tsunade had an unparalleled reputation among female ninja. In the original series, Sakura Haruno, Ino Yamanaka, and others all looked up to her as their goal.

Shinku Yuhi couldn't help but feel that this was strange. How does this kid keep meeting all these big shots? First Minato Namikaze, now Tsunade. Who's he going to meet tomorrow? Hiruzen Sarutobi?

But this was a good thing. Hagawa had entered the sights of Konoha's upper echelons. As long as he was outstanding enough, he would have countless opportunities.
