Everyone soon had freshened up and finally went outside Brown's hut.

"Looks like we'll finally be getting a breakfast," Specy said in anticipation as they were making their way.

When they arrived, they saw Brown waiting behind the plastic serving table outside.

His cooking apparatus was outside just like yesterday. However, instead of a vessel containing food, a glass vessel the size of a milk jug was being heated over a fire.

The liquid inside the glass had a brownish red colour to it and was emitting a very pungent smell.

"…don't tell me that's our breakfast," Specy 's earlier lovely mood vanished at the sight.

The other three looked at him with a hint of annoyance on their face as if blaming him for their current predicament.

"That's right." Brown nodded, "This is what you'll have for breakfast. I spent the entire night preparing it, so you all better finish it to the very last drop."

While saying that he picked the glass vessel off the fire and poured a cup full for the four of them.

"Drink it while it's warm, it will be more beneficial," Brown said with a smile as if his nose was completely immune to the pungent smell of the liquid.

"What exactly is in there?" Shadow asked the question which was bogging everyone's mind.

"Finish the glass first, I'll tell you then," Brown answered with an even brighter smile.

The four of them looked at the cup in their hands with uncertainty and then matched gazes with each other.

The next moment, everyone downed the cup in one go, and the disgusting liquid washed down their throat.

"Amazing," Brown cheered for them merrily.

Seeing him like this, Shadow wiped the liquid's remains off his lips and asked again, "Now tell us, what was it?"

"A specially concocted poison made from the scorpions you all caught last night," Brown replied with a cheeky grin.

Shock and despair were visible on everyone's faces, and even Jin was no exception.

He immediately opened up the system store, and only when his eyes fell upon the latest item did peace return to him.

'System always got my back,' Jn thought in relief.

'Oh? His mental state recovered sooner than I thought,' Brown thought in amazement when he noticed the changes in Jin's expression.

Noticing that if he didn't address the situation soon, the other three would start making a scene in panic, Brown finally opened his mouth, "Worry not, though, I've mixed some extra stuff while creating the formulation. The aim is to increase your poison resistance so I can't have you die now, can I?"

Brown chuckled as Specy, Shadow, and Ice's expressions finally recovered somewhat.

"If you don't do anything and just stay here, you'll die in an hour. That would be troubling since your antidote will only be ready by afternoon," Brown told them.

"Then what should we do?!" Shadow asked in frustration. He didn't appreciate the roundabout way Brown was using to explain things to them.

Brown smirked and said, "Run, just what you did yesterday. Perspire as much as possible and continue to drink water.

That way, not only will you survive until afternoon, but you will also complete your ten-kilometre running target. Very efficient, isn't it?"

Brown pointed at the shoes which they had placed beside the hut and at a container in which their bands were placed, "Your bands have been recharged, so take them, wear your shoes and start running as if your life depends on it, because it does."

Without wasting any time, they all did exactly that and were soon running under the sun.

Unlike yesterday, they gave their best from the start because they wanted to sweat as much as possible.

"That bastard, one day he just might kill us all!" Shadow cursed under his breath as he followed after the other three.

Since he was wounded, he struggled the most in this task and was also the most exhausted.

"Keep running, Shadow, don't waste your breath in cursing," Specy warned.

Their stomach had started burning by now, and it had become very apparent that the poison had begun taking its effects.

"Fuck!" Shadow cursed one last time before completely immersing himself in running.

They made quite frequent stops to the pond to replenish their water and cool down, but the constant fear of being poisoned to death made sure that they didn't stay there for long.

Time passed slowly, and finally, after what felt like eternity, they dragged themselves back to Brown's hut.

Outside, brown had been waiting for them.

"Congratulations on not dying", Brown said with a smile.

He then got ready behind the table and, with a ladle in his hand, started serving them their lunch. Here," Brown gave them the same gooey nutritious food he gave them yesterday and added, "I've made sure to add the required amount of anti-toxins so you may rest assured."

Hungry and worried for their life, they ravenously consumed as much food as they could.

Brown's words seemed to be true as just a few moments later their stomach no longer felt as if it were in flames, but instead a cool sensation replaced it.

Relief was finally apparent on all their faces.

"Go rest, you need to catch more scorpions for tomorrow's breakfast tonight," Brown's words added salt to their wounded minds.

Unable to retaliate, they all could only grit their teeth and walk back to their shelters to rest.

"One day I'll definitely beat the shit out of him," Shadow muttered.

"You can't even chase him, though," Jin gave Shadow a quick reality check.

"Come on, Zed, don't you have any friends? In times like this, you just support your comrade rather than slapping him with logic, you know?" Shadow whined at Jin's response.

Jin just shrugged at these words and didn't comment.

"On that note, you'll teach us the trick tonight, right? On how you caught so many scorpions," Specy asked from the side.

Ice and Shadow looked at Jin for a response.

"Hmm, yeah, I'll have ample time to explain to you the trick tonight," Jin answered.

He felt that with today's morning training, his expertise in the movement skill had further increased, and he couldn't wait to try it out.

"Great!" Specy said in excitement as Shadow's and Ice's expressions too changed to that of anticipation.
