My Hero Academia: Thunder God

Chapter 239: Chapter 238: Three Parties Join Forces!

Kaminari, who was mowing through the Black Tiger Gang with unrelenting precision, had no idea how many eyes were focused on him at that moment, nor how many plans were being set into motion.

Even if he had known, it wouldn't have mattered. His personality was such that he never regretted his decisions, even if they cost him dearly.

"If you dare to harm my family, then you'd better be ready to pay with your life!"

Kaminari, his body engulfed in golden electricity, stood in the center of the carnage. Blood stained the ground, and the corpses around him painted a chilling picture. His cold gaze locked onto Nicholas Fu.

"Guji."

Nicholas Fu swallowed nervously, his eyes darting to the scattered bodies of his gang members. When his gaze finally landed on the lifeless body of Black Cannon, his heart sank.

Unlike the disposable underlings he brought along, Black Cannon had been a trusted ally. Together, they had escaped the Filipino mafia and built the Black Tiger Gang from scratch. Black Cannon wasn't just a subordinate, he was second-in-command and one of Fu's few true comrades.

And now, that loyal companion lay dead on the ground.

"Is this some kind of sick joke?" Nicholas Fu muttered to himself. "How is this kid so strong? He's not even an adult!"

For the first time in years, Fu felt fear. His earlier bravado was gone, replaced by an awkward, desperate smile.

"Well… look, can't we talk this out?" Fu stammered, raising his hands slightly in a placating gesture. "Your father's fine, and you've already taken out so many of my guys. Isn't that enough?"

He forced a chuckle. "You know killing is illegal, right? If you kill me, you're going to jail for a long, long time!"

"Are those your last words?" Kaminari asked coldly. "I already told you: you're all going to die today."

Before Fu could respond, Kaminari shot forward in a streak of golden light, Raikiri crackling ominously in his hand.

"I won't die here! If anyone's dying today, it's you!" Fu roared. Seeing that negotiations had failed, he decided to fight to the bitter end.

With a powerful spring-loaded leap, Fu launched himself forward. "Black Tiger's Heartbreaker!" he yelled, his claws aiming for Kaminari's chest.

"Roar!!!"

---

Five minutes later, silence fell over the golden dome. The only sound came from the faint wailing of sirens outside. Inside, the air was thick with the stench of blood.

"It's time to think about what comes next," Kaminari murmured. He stood over Fu's lifeless body, his golden aura now dimmed, his expression blank.

Fourteen people dead. By using his Quirk to kill, Kaminari had committed what the law considered a heinous crime.

Even as a minor under sixteen, he knew there would be consequences. While the death penalty was off the table, years in prison were almost certain.

Now, he faced a critical choice, one that would shape the rest of his life. Should he stay and face the consequences, or flee and abandon everything?

With his speed, enhanced by his High Voltage Electric Mode, escaping was entirely possible. The police and Heroes outside wouldn't be able to stop him.

"Son... son, you need to leave!" Kaminari's father said urgently, gripping his son's shoulders. "Get as far away as you can! If you ever need help, find a way to contact me. I'll do whatever it takes!"

"I was thinking the same…" Kaminari began.

"Pika!"

Before he could finish, Pikachu raced over and leapt onto his shoulder. Its blue eyes glowed brightly, projecting three incoming call notifications in midair.

"It seems like everyone's aware of the situation," Kaminari remarked with a wry smile. "Might as well take the calls. Maybe things will change."

Despite the gravity of the moment, his voice remained calm, his expression relaxed. It wasn't arrogance, it was the confidence born from years of relentless training and preparation.

---

"Kaminari-kun!" Nezu's voice came through.

"Kaminari, are you okay?!" Momo's worried tone followed.

"Kid, you've really outdone yourself this time. Incredible," Mitsui Buntais said with a teasing chuckle.

Kaminari greeted the three callers but looked at Mitsui Buntais with some confusion. "Old man, what's this about? Why are you getting involved?"

Although Kaminari had once saved Mitsui's life, the man had repaid that debt with the gift of Pikachu. As far as Kaminari was concerned, they were even.

"Why? Is it so strange for me to lend a hand? Don't forget, you called me 'old man' a few times. I've grown fond of you, boy," Mitsui replied with a calm smile.

"This… old man, I don't even know how to respond." Kaminari shook his head, smiling bitterly.

"You don't need to say anything. Just listen."

---

After Mitsui's brief interjection, Nezu's voice took over. "Kaminari, I won't lie to you. You've committed a serious crime. But that doesn't mean this is the end."

"Oh?" Kaminari raised an eyebrow. "What's the plan, Principal?"

"It's a long explanation, but the gist is that you don't need to do much. Just follow my instructions."

"First, don't run. If you flee, everything we're doing will be pointless.

"Second, never admit that you killed anyone. Those deaths might not be attributed to you in the end.

"Third, as of yesterday, you've officially become an on-staff teacher at U.A. High School. You'll assist the Hero Department with Quirk development training."

"What?!"

The Principal's announcement left Kaminari, his father, and Snatch stunned.

"Mr. Principal, Kaminari isn't even an adult yet! How can he possibly be a teacher at U.A.?" Kaminari's father protested. "And he doesn't have a teaching certificate!"

"That may be true, but this is an internal matter for our school. U.A. can hire whomever it deems fit as a teacher. No external authority has the right to interfere," Nezu said confidently.

Though Japanese law valued education highly, the shortage of qualified teachers allowed for certain exceptions. Schools could hire unlicensed teachers at their discretion, provided they met internal standards.

"But why make me a teacher?" Kaminari asked, still baffled.

This time, Momo chimed in. "Because once you're officially a U.A. teacher, this matter won't just involve you—it'll involve the entire school."

"The pressure on you will be shared with U.A. High School," she explained. "This will make it easier for us to navigate the fallout and take action."
