Chapter 163: Chapter 161 Training Complete
While others were shocked at what was happening before their eyes, Hibiki was frantically using his Archive magic to understand what Karna was doing. It didn't take him long to find out what Karna was aiming at . He immediately informed the others about it, but received confused questions in return.
"But there are many other ways we can do this! We could stay inside and help him in increasing the destruction, so why the hell is he doing this alone?" Just as Ren finished that sentence, realisation struck everyone at the same time as they turned to Cana, who was standing there with them.
"What did you say Karna was doing again?" Gray asked the question that everyone had been thinking.
"Training?" Cana blurted out, as even she had not expected his training to be this dramatic.
""""""YOU CALL THIS TRAINING!?""""""
Everyone blurted out at the same time. But then, as they looked at Karna hitting Nirvana non-stop, they were unable to picture themselves training in the same way.
"It's alright. Even if he plans on striking again and again to make sure it runs out of power, chances are he can't keep it up for long. I can feel that each of his strikes is filled with a lot of energy, surpassing maybe even the ultimate moves of certain S class wizard. So when he tires out and falters, we need to make sure to attack and keep Nirvana from moving from that spot and it seems like Nirvana does not have adaptive measures so it will not attack us back" Jura said out loud, to which everyone nodded.
Half an hour later
"He must be getting tired. Be prepared," Jura told the others as they readied themselves.
One hour later
"Do not lose focus. We can't say when he will stop," Jura said, sensing the awkwardness in the air. Even the others were feeling a bit weird waiting.
Two hours later
None of them were preparing anything anymore, as they watched in pure shock. Karna's punches had not stopped even for a second in the past two hours.
"How… how many attacks have landed by now?" Ichiya asked, a tremble in his tone. His usual flamboyant way of speaking had completely disappeared.
Hibiki gulped before answering.
"Roughly more than 7,200 strikes have landed by now. That calculation assumes he's striking once every second. But some times in between, he was striking even faster, and the power behind them has clearly grown stronger compared to when he began."
Hibiki's answer was met with silence, but he wasn't offended—he could understand what was going through their minds.
'I've been proud to be selected as one of the Ten Wizard Saints because of my abilities. And I know I'm not as strong as many senior members of the Ten Wizard Saints. But…' Jura thought as he looked at Karna, who was still going without pause. 'I can't imagine myself having that much power. And seeing this makes me wonder—how many members of the Ten Wizard Saints can truly match his level?'
"Natsu, you alright?" Happy asked, a bit worried as he saw the serious expression on Natsu's face.
"Oh, don't worry about it, buddy. It's just…" Natsu tried to smile while saying it but faltered at the end. "I always believed I could grow stronger just by punching. Even Gildarts didn't feel that far away when I fought him as a kid. But seeing the level Karna's at right now… I can't imagine myself ever reaching that."
BAM
"What the hell are you doing using your brain, idiot!? If you're going to say depressing things when you think, it's better you don't think at all—like you normally do," Gray scolded, punching Natsu to the ground.
Natsu immediately got up and shouted back.
"What the hell do you mean, you icicle bastard?! Who said anything about giving up? I'm gonna beat you up first, then the archer guy, and then I'm going to become the strongest in the guild!" Natsu shouted, which brought smiles to everyone around him.
"That's more like it, you bastard," Gray muttered with a smile.
At the same time, with Karna
'Oh my god, I wanna go home', he shouted in his mind as he felt extreme exhaustion settle into his body with each punch he landed on Nirvana.
Two hours ago
Karna was punching Nirvana again and again.
'System, what is the criteria and reason for doing this? Karna asked as he began to feel bored just five minutes in.
[The main aim is for you to constantly break past your stamina and physical limits in this exercise. As soon as your magic reaches zero, summon a small shard of Ethernano inside your mouth and eat it. This will recharge your Ethernano levels and give you the energy to strike again, but it will not heal the injuries you sustain during this.
Additionally, the more you push yourself now, the more your limits will grow.
Warning: As soon as the host stops fighting and feeding on Ethernano, the host might enter a deep sleep for a few days while the system aids the body's healing in a way that improves bodily function.]
'Alright then', Karna thought as he kept punching.
After half an hour, a few bones in his fist had cracked, but he used magic to hold them in place so they wouldn't break.
After an hour, he had already eaten a shard to recharge his magic, but he was mentally exhausted. Still, he focused on moving and punching without stopping.
After two hours, he just wanted to faint and never wake up.
Four hours later
"Damn, it's over," Karna muttered as he punched down the last crumbling building of Nirvana. He needed to ensure nothing remains so that no one else came back to investigate and create weapons based on it, so he had to destroy it completely.
He then flew toward his guildmates and the other alliance members nearby.
As he approached Cana, he removed his armor.
"I'll be out for a few days. Don't worry about it," he said as he fainted into her arms.
A/N- hope you like it and every 100 powerstone gets extra chapter of Jason.
