Chapter 162: Chapter 160 An All-round Workout.
Karna flew out of the control room of Nirvana and checked the entirety of Nirvana from the sky. He saw Cana exit the facility from where he was flying, and with his senses, he was able to see her sliding down one of the structural legs of Nirvana. He decided he needed to recheck his calculations.
Central Body (elliptical cylinder approximation):
• Length: 200 m
• Width: 80 m
• Height: 60 m
• Volume ≈ π × (width/2) × (height/2) × length
= π × 40 × 30 × 200 ≈ 753,982 m³
Legs (cylinders):
• Height: 40 m
• Radius: 5 m
• Volume per leg = π × r² × h = π × 25 × 40 ≈ 3,142 m³
• Total leg volume = 3,142 × 6 = 18,852 m³
Total Volume ≈ 753,982 + 18,852 = ~772,834 m³
Weight = Volume × Density
= 772,834 m³ × 2,400 kg/m³
≈ 1.86 billion kg
→ 1.86 million metric tons
Rounding up, I can imagine it as almost 2 million metric tons. But to destroy it by punching, I need to be smart about it, Karna began calculating.
It does not have infinite energy. Each of the legs absorbs energy from the earth—plants and vegetation are its main sources.
But at the same time, because it needs a lot of energy, it has to constantly move to absorb more vegetation. But this also means that it can only absorb surface vegetation and cannot siphon any power from the earth. So as long as you manage to keep it in a single place, you can run it down by constantly destroying it.
He then analyzed all the weak points.
The six lacrima are the obvious weakness, but the platform on which the city is built and the legs are connected is also a weakness. But it's too big, which is why it was ignored in the canon timeline. Most of them might not have caught on to the absorption limitations and might have thought the platform would keep regenerating. Plus, none of them had any magic that could destroy the entire platform at once—and currently, neither do I.
To beat this thing, I've only got one way: strike it from different sides constantly while making sure it cannot move. As long as it stays in the same place, I can constantly destroy it, making it continuously use up its energy until there's nothing left.
Karna then calculated the amount of force he had to put into each punch to make it move. And as long as he was hitting with an equal amount from the other sides constantly, he could make sure it stayed in the same place.
"So almost 2 million metric tons, wobbly legs that are so far apart that it can lose balance if one of them is lost," Karna began contemplating and reached an answer within milliseconds.
"A punch should have at least 10 metric tons of force," he said out loud with a sigh.
"Basically, a T-Rex bite or a car smashing into something while going 60 miles an hour. And I have to constantly use that much force for at least a few hours, seeing that the containers for the absorbed magic are bigger than the normal ones. Plus, I would have to punch every second.
Basically, 3,600 punches an hour multiplied over a few."
Karna took a deep breath.
"Good thing I kept these things from the R-System mission," Karna thought as he picked up a small piece of solid ethernano from the system storage and started eating it. Unlike other Dragon Slayers who might develop problems in the future, Karna's Arcane Drakon Slayer powers would allow him to easily digest the ethernano without any issue.
Karna was suddenly bombarded with the feeling of having too much energy.
Damn, I thought the piece was small enough. Should have remembered that a few shards had pushed the almost magic-drained Natsu straight into an overpowered Dragon Force form. But I can't let this chance go to waste.
SHIINNGG!!!
Karna immediately activated the lightning mode in his Incursio armour, increasing his movement speed. Then he activated Black Flash to complete the ensample.
"Here goes nothing," he said out loud as he went to land the first punch.
At the time, with the others:
"Have we taken care of everyone?" Gray asked as he pushed a beaten-down dark guild member into the specially made prison created by Jura.
"Yes, the one you pushed in just now was the last one, so basically our part of the plan is over for now," Hibiki replied as he used the scanner in his Archive.
"Hey, look! Big Sis Cana is coming back!" Wendy said as she pointed at Cana, who was running toward them.
Everyone turned to see Cana running toward them.
"Why are you here, Cana? What happened to Karna?" Erza asked first, to which Cana sighed while answering.
"The idiot said he wants to exercise."
"What does that—" Jura was about to ask when—
BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM!!!!!!!!
The sudden sound shocked everyone as they scrambled to find its source. But they didn't have to look for long. As they turned, they saw something even more shocking.
"Are you seeing this right now?" Lyon cried out.
"Nirvana's tilting!" Lucy completed his sentence.
And then they saw it. A yellow stream of light suddenly approached from the opposite side of the tilt and hit the structure once again.
BOOOOOOOOOOOOMMM!!!!
Then, within a few moments, the next strike hit another location, cracking the platform of the structure while tilting it in another direction. They could clearly see that the cracks on the structure were healing, but at the same time, they saw the bright flash strike from an entirely different direction, breaking it even more.
"Natsu, are you seeing this?" Happy asked in shock between the strikes that were now falling every second.
"Yeah, I am. How strong is that guy?" Natsu asked back, equally stunned.
The rest of the people were in the same state. They could see the power of each strike hitting Nirvana. Seeing that they landed every second, they were now again realizing the depth of one of their friends.
"Forget about the tactician—that guy might have already surpassed Gildarts. He should be named the strongest by now," Gray muttered out loud.
A/N- hope you like it and every 100 powerstone gets extra chapter of Jason.
