Chapter 5

Golderine's View.

As I raised my eyes from the book to look out of the window ,I can see that it is already dark outside. I took too much time doing my homeworks and studying. I did not even take break . I turn on my phone and look at the time . Huh ... five minutes left before eight , I should retire from books . I wonder if Mary made dinner or not . I stood up opened my bedroom door and the smell of fried chicken passed to my nose. I became hungry all of a sudden .

"Golderine food is ready ,come to eat ." Aunt Mariam said so while shouting. And within seconds I was in front of her while looking at the food she cooked.

"Wow Mary , tonight you Cooked a feast . Look all of the fried chicken with different salads . Did you go to super market without tell me , I could've helped you carry groceries. " I said while aiming to take chicken wing , but she slapped my hand.

"Wash you hands first , and yes I went to market to buy groceries when you were at school. I didn't want to tire you out knowing you will have homework and you have to study. " She said while patting and fixing my head.

"Okay , but you cooked a lot and they are delicious. Do we have guests ? I said while licking at my lips .

"How do you know they are delicious without tasting them what if they are bitter and no we are having no guests. I'm in a good mood and I cooked a lot because tomorrow Ill be busy and I will not cook so you will have meat and salads for tomorrow also." Mary said while dishing out for Golderine and giving her a plate , while Golderine poured juice into glasses and water.

" It would be nice if we had some guests here , it is boring. Aunt Mary do we have other family members or it is just us . I don't know any of my father's family or mom's family. I only know you ." When Golderine asked about if she had family besides her Aunt Mariam smile dropped.

"Sweetie it is not that I don't want to tell you about your whole family but if I were to tell you about them I'll have to give you full information about your family history. I promise to tell you five days before your birthday."

"Well ,at least you should tell me if I have any siblings . All I know is that mom's name is Aurora Redmond who married my dad and became Grande. Dad's name is Aesen Grande. What it is that you are hiding ?" I said while looking at her eyes.

"Yes I am hiding some stuff, I will not disagree with you but for you to know some things ,or everything you must rich eighteen years old or a week before your birthday I'll tell you okay ."Mary said that patting my head.

"But you must tell me everything thing . You will not forget a single detail . I truly want to know about my family. Our family history is it good or bad ? Golderine asked her with sparkling eyes hungry for knowledge.

"No . It is just bad here and there but I bet you will be spoiled rotten. And there will be also something magical " Mary said while sitting down and taking her plate to eat .

" Something magical you say , how magical. "

"Just magical , eat ." Mary said while putting a piece of meat inside her mouth .

"I just want to know how magical, will they spoil me to the fullest? How many people are in my families , my mom's and dad's. Do they know about me . Did they..." Golderine was stopped by her Aunt's irritated voice .

"Just magical Golderine and they do know about you , just eat dinner Golderine . I can't even feel the taste of this meat inside my mouth because you are busy asking questions. Please let me at least enjoy my food in pieces and no more talking. " Mary said as she putted another piece of meat mixed with potatoe salad .

Golderine just started eating her food with a little sadness ii her eyes. Mary saw that she was sad and decided to tell her about Lucien visit .Of cause Golderine don't know Lucien .

"You stated asking a lot of questions and I almost forgot this , your cousin Lucien is visiting. You should be nice to him and welcome him." Mary said while looking at her facial expression.

"Who , do I have cousin ?" Golderine wanted her Aunt to repeat what she said to her.

"Yes you do have cousins ,your cousin Lucien Redmond dummy , from my family side not your dad's family side. He is busy making preparations , he might be here before this week ends until you reach eighteen years." Mary said slowly so that she doesn't have to repeat what she said to Golderine again . But what golderine doesn't know is that Lucien is not even her cousin nor related by family. He is Mariam subordinate and he see's golderine as his cousin and Mariam as his sister.

"Okay ,but I'm not ready to meat him . Is he rude , arrogant or loves to brag ? If he is like that I might as well disappeare when he arrives just in cace he irritates me , I truly will not tolerate him to long ." Golderine says those words very fast to show she is nervous and she even gulped glass of water down her throat.

"Well you said you wanted to know you families , then you will know them and Lucien is more of a nerdy type of guy like you , highly intelligent and will not bore you . He is nice and not a type to boats around , you will like him . He might even give you more of his knowledge so that you don't fail. " Mary drinked her juice after giving golderine reassuring words.

"Okay ,but how old is he?" Mary popped her eyes out when Golderine asked her this question but luckily for her , Golderine's eyes were focused on cutting her meat with a knife . Lucien is now two hundred and thirty years. Mary quickly come up with age .

"He is grown up and he is about twenty three years old ." Mary said with a calm tone .

"Okay ,Aunt Marry are you finished eating. I want to wash dishes as a thank you for your delicious food ." Golderine said while rubbing her belly .

"No ,you are tired golderine go to sleep early , you study a lot . You brain will hurt . I'll wash dishes ." Mary said while picking up dishes and standing up to it them inside kitchen basin .

"Are you sure you can do them all? You can wash them and I'll wipe them dry ."

"No sweetie I can do them , you just need to sleep and figure out tomorrow situation." Golden looked confused when she heard her aunt's remarks .

"You forgotten , I told you to deal with Stephanie and her group, and stand up for your self or else I'll sort them out my self .One will be chopped off hand , one removed eyes and one removed tongue if you keep going soft on them . Beat off their bums . " Aunt Mariam said that to Golderine while smiling.

"Aunt ,stop smiling like that you look like lunatic . I deal with it my self . Do not do not to them please ." Golderine said that as she looked at her Aunt with puppy eyes that when one looked at them will feel pity for her and will want to protect her. Her puppy eyes swayed Aunt Mariam ,but she ignored a feeling of a pity in her heart because she wanted Golderine to have a touth backbone so she pushed her with her words of what she would do to Stephanie and her group and she would truly do it , without blinking and sleep well after that.

"Go to sleep , tomorrow I want to hear good news when you return ." Aunt Mariam said as she turned around and left Golderine there ,so that Golderine can stop begging her to not do anything like last time .

Looking through Aunt Mariam memories and thoughts.

One day Golderine came home crying so bad that she had panic attacks .She kept saying " She betrayed me , she showed them my secrets" , untill she fainted on my arms . I wanted to know what happened but she kept repeating those words . And I took her to her bed room and I checked her , I felt her breath getting more slow and slow . I felt that this was the end for her luckily for me I'm good at making healing potions and gave it to her . Not only that I had to make a potion that takes a pain away just in case she loses her mind .

Before the end of the day ,she woke up and she told me what happens . I was angry that I tried to go to school and skin Stephanie alive slowly so I can see why her heart is brave to do that . But I'll start with headmaster first making sure I collect all of his teeth as a trophy . But someone begged me to not do anything in the end I did not do anything.

I made her warm milk and poured my potion that will remove feelings of sadness and hurt. If you looked a her even depression knocked in her heart with one day . She even suggest that she wanted to kill her self . I had to send her to sleep. And I watched her day and night everyday so that if she tried to kill her self I'll save her quick .

Golderine looked at the back of her Aunt body ,and she turned and waked to her bedroom and took shower . She wore comfy pajamas, switched off her bedroom lights and got inside the blankets . She wondered how she would deal with Stephanie and her minions , until sleep finally got her.

Next morning Golderine did her everyday routine and she decided that she is going to do two ponytails , one at each side of the head as her hair style for the day. She took her lipgloss and waked out of her bedroom . As always and everyday the smell of breakfast would hit her nostrils.

She sat down and ate her breakfast while Mary packed her luck box and gave her money. And as always when Golderine is finished eating Aunt Mariam checked whether freckles are removed or not . And luckily for Aunt Mariam , Golderine's make up is not removed still the same as yesterday.

And Golderine as all ways she won't rush to school, this time she arrived early and decided to stay behind the school under the tree on the bench and read a little before the school's bell rings .

But she was distracted by noise that other students were making . She decided to check out what what's happening and follow the noise that other students kept making . She soon found when the noise came from ,in front of the school. She looked why they were making noise early in the morning and she saw three students walking inside the school , Two boys and one girl . They looked different and by the way they looked , Golderine knew that they were rich and must be new students. So she did not mind them.

She then saw Stephanie speaking to them and walking to them . Golderine just turned her body around and walked to her classroom without looking back . Unknown to her all of the three students they looked straight at her as if they have just found their target. Golderine felt as if someone was looking at her but when she turned her head she saw no one . She walked through hallway and soon arrived in her class.

As she sat down , the school bell rang and students rushed back to their classes . And Stephanie passed her and went to her seat without causing Golderine difficulties today . Maybe it is in the morning and maybe she will bully Golderine during the class . It is too early to speak about Stephanie manners.
