Chapter 70: : The Twin Core Pilots

📘 Chapter 70

🌠 Scene 1: Synchronized Blood

In the underground vault, Zake initiates the launch of the Last Frame Prototype. As its twin cockpits glow, Zui and Zeron are drawn forward. The cockpit scans them—Krono surges through their bodies, responding in perfect sync.

Zake: "Your Krono waves resonate like they were made from the same breath."

Zui hesitates.

Zui: "I'm not a fighter like him…"

Zeron (placing a hand on her shoulder): "Then I'll fight for both of us."

The twin cockpit closes—The Last Frame awakens.

The surface of the mech ripples like mercury before solidifying into armored purity. Its design is unlike any other—curved, smooth, and glowing with ancient engravings and twin cores.

🦠 Scene 2: Infected Sky – Valken Domination Begins

Above in Sector Rho, a once-bustling city is now corrupted. Skyscrapers shift like bone, covered in bio-metal tendrils. Every screen chants in digital whispers:

"Assimilate. Evolve. Obey the Infinite Code."

Valken Prime lands—humanoid, yet faceless. His arms split into whips of code, and his voice reverberates through thought, not sound.

He raises a finger, and a Krono-powered military battalion is instantly overwritten—pilots scream as their bodies phase into virus-controlled mechs.

Valken Prime: "Krono is no longer yours."

🛡️ Scene 3: Last Frame's First Battle

The Last Frame launches into battle. Zui and Zeron sit back-to-back in the cockpit. Every movement is a test of mental unity. Zui sees vision-flashes from Zeron's pain, memories, and old guilt. Zeron, in turn, sees her loneliness and awakening trauma.

System: "Twin Core Engaged: Neurobridge Synchronized – Initiating Phase Ignition."

As the Valken-controlled mechs descend, Last Frame splits into dual phantoms—an illusion created by synchronized Krono harmonics.

Zui handles tactical control—anticipating enemy movement patterns like a chessboard.

Zeron controls raw output—punches so dense they shatter space-time microzones.

One by one, the Valken drones are obliterated. But Valken Prime joins in, clashing with Last Frame in a speed that bends the sky.

💔 Scene 4: The Cost of Sync

Inside the cockpit, Zui's mind begins to tear from the overload. The mental weight of the shared connection with Zeron—and the full force of two Krono cores—starts bleeding into her nervous system.

Zui (gasping): "We're not... compatible enough…"

Zeron tightens his grip on the controls, his voice trembling:

Zeron: "Then I'll carry more of it!"

But the system locks.

System Warning: "Exceeding Krono limits. Neural fusion in 30 seconds."

If they stay in the sync longer, they'll permanently merge minds.

Suddenly—Serin arrives in a stolen mecha and blasts Valken Prime long enough for Last Frame to disengage.

Serin: "You two die, this world ends. I'm selfish, not suicidal."

🧠 Scene 5: Secrets in Zake's Lab

Back in the lab, Zake has a vision. The Thalos memory triggers the ancient Krono record—a warning left by the creator of Krono itself:

"Krono is not energy. It is will. Each color is a choice made by history."

Purple was never meant to be wielded—only to be understood.

Zake: "Zui and Zeron aren't users. They're the memory of the origin itself."

☄️ Scene 6: Velos's New Alliance

Velos, reeling from his defeat and seeing the Valken as a threat beyond his control, does the unthinkable—he meets with an enemy leader:

Velos: "I offer you alliance. Krono must be preserved—even if it means working with devils."

Across the table sits a cloaked figure.

They remove their hood.

???: "We were waiting for your desperation."

It's Zeron's ex-girlfriend—now fully aligned with the anti-Krono organization, Helix Order.

Her words: "Let's destroy Krono from its roots."
