Chapter 66: : The Forgotten Core
📘 Chapter 66
🌀 Scene 1: Zake's Mind Spiral
Zake sits in the school infirmary, his hands shaking. His eyes glow faintly—flashes of time spiraling across his pupils.
He blinks—and suddenly sees Zui in danger, falling from a crumbling tower.
He blinks again—and sees himself standing in a desert wasteland, alone, older… holding a broken mech core in his hands.
Zake (whispers): "I saw her die… But she's here… alive."
Zake's best friend, Toren, a mech-obsessed, hyper-curious kid, notices his distress.
Toren: "Dude. You okay? You look like you've just watched the end of the universe or something."
Zake grabs Toren's arm.
Zake: "What if I told you I already have?"
🧠 Scene 2: Zui and the Voice
Zui, doing research at the Tech Library, suddenly hears a whisper.
A voice—not from any speaker—in her mind.
???: "You are close to the Threshold. You can open it."
Zui freezes.
Zui: "Who's there?"
No answer.
The screen in front of her glitches, revealing a hidden directory.
FILE: [ARCHIVE://CORE_ORIGIN]
She opens it—and sees something terrifying:
A video of a planet shattering… from the inside. At its center, a violet orb. The exact shape as Zeron's Krono burst.
Zui (whispers): "This… isn't Krono. This is something else."
And then, a final flash of code appears:
FORGOTTEN_CORE_01: EARTH
👨✈️ Scene 3: Return of the Rival – Velos Kurn
The Mecha Defense Guild's Council chamber erupts in alarm.
Commander Rehn: "A rogue God-Class mech is approaching Earth orbit."
On the giant hologram appears Velos Kurn—Zeron's old work rival. Ambitious. Ruthless. Brilliant.
Velos: "Hello, Zeron. Or should I say… Inheritor?"
He's inside the Oblivion Wyrm, a God-Class mecha with black-and-gold bone-like armor, designed for devouring Krono energy.
Velos: "Let's test your divine toy. I want to see if it bleeds."
He launches a Krono-siphoning lance from orbit.
Zeron intercepts mid-air, in Deus Krono form.
Zeron: "I don't bleed. But you might."
The sky cracks as Zeron and Velos clash—one wrapped in godlight, the other in corrupt anti-energy.
🔍 Scene 4: The Traitor Revealed
In the Earth Defense Council, security drones capture Governor Haskil tampering with encrypted codes.
The man who had once voted against arming Earth's mecha cores… is seen transmitting Krono algorithms to an unknown signal.
Commander Rehn: "He's been feeding them everything… for years."
As he's cornered, Haskil smirks.
Haskil: "You don't get it. Earth was never meant to win. The Forgotten Core… was never yours to control."
He bites a cyanide pill.
Before dying, he utters:
"The real war… hasn't even begun."
⚠️ Scene 5: The Core of Earth Awakens
Deep within the tectonic folds of the planet, something shifts.
Massive Krono readings spike.
All digital systems crash.
Birds fall from the sky.
Even Deus Krono halts, whispering one word:
Deus Krono: "Origin…"
Kairen, decoding the final Vault script, gasps.
Kairen: "The Forgotten Core… isn't a weapon. It's a living entity. A machine-heart built into the Earth before the first civilization even began."
Zui: "What happens if it wakes up?"
Kairen (terrified): "Then everything changes. Every law of Krono… collapses."
🌌 Scene 6: The Memory of Another Zeron
As the battle with Velos reaches its peak, Zeron is thrown through a rupture in spacetime caused by the clash of their mechas.
He finds himself in a world similar to Earth… but wrong.
The sky is violet.
The mechas float, unmanned.
People are holograms.
And at the center… is another Zeron.
Older. Wounded. Sitting alone beside a shattered Deus Krono.
Alternate Zeron: "So… it's time."
Zeron: "What is this place?"
Alternate Zeron: "The end. Of our world. Of all worlds. Unless you find the Core before they do."
And then he fades, whispering:
"She's the key. She always was."
"Zui…"
