"Hey, friends! Your savior, Iron Man, is here!"
At that moment, a golden, humanoid suit of armor, moving at nearly Mach 5, shot through the sky from a distance. It then executed a graceful, heroic landing, standing confidently in front of Steve and Logan.
"What a show-off, but he showed up just in time."
Although Steve and Logan were a bit speechless at Tony's flamboyant entrance, they couldn't help but smile.
"Tony, we'll draw their fire. You go in and find a way to stop the spaceborne aircraft carriers from taking off!"
Steve spoke up.
With Tony now joining them, there were only three of them against over sixty Hydra robots, hundreds of Hydra soldiers, and a few unknown superpowered individuals.
Even if they managed to win in a direct confrontation, the three spaceborne aircraft carriers would likely have already launched.
Their primary objective was to stop the carriers from taking off.
"Just you two left? Where is everyone else?"
Tony nodded but didn't argue with Steve's plan. After their last battle in the God Realm, their relationship had improved significantly, and he trusted Steve's character and his ability to devise battle strategies.
"Probably all captured," Logan replied with a sigh.
"Has George been captured too?" Tony asked, his face full of expectation.
Steve shook his head.
"George didn't come. He and Professor Xavier stayed at the school."
"What a pity. I was hoping if he'd been captured, I could rescue him and let him see my Golden Legend Armor."
Tony's face went from hopeful to regretful in an instant.
Every time it was George who saved him. This time, after finally upgrading his armor with the technology from the God Realm, he was looking forward to the chance to rescue George for once. That would have felt truly satisfying.
"They're here!"
Before Tony could finish his lament, the Hydra robots surged forward, charging at them.
"Let's see how you like this!"
Tony aimed the arc reactor on his chest at the approaching Hydra robots. A golden energy ring formed around him, and then a massive golden energy cannon, as thick as his arm, fired out.
The golden energy cannon was incredibly powerful, piercing right through the bodies of the Hydra robots.
But that wasn't all. As Tony's upper body moved, the golden energy cannon followed suit, and in a moment, more than sixty Hydra robots had been obliterated.
Only then did Tony retract the golden energy cannon.
"This is too energy-draining. I've done all I can for you guys. The rest is up to you. I'm going to shut down the aircraft carriers' launch systems."
The golden energy cannon had immense power, but it consumed a lot of energy. Even with his upgraded arc reactor, that one blast had drained half of his energy reserves.
If only Tony had had this armor back in Queens, the Hammer Industries robots would have been nothing but a bunch of helpless clowns, easily defeated—even the Whiplash.
The powerful golden energy cannon also caught the enemies off guard. Tony seized the opportunity and accelerated toward the building.
"Watch out for those superpowered individuals!"
Steve and Logan warned, charging at the remaining Hydra robots and soldiers to prevent them from intercepting Tony.
"This is kind of like my plasma electromagnetic cannon,"
Meanwhile, hovering above the Tri-Wing Building, an invisible George observed Tony below, stroking his chin and muttering to himself.
He had arrived earlier, but since the aircraft carriers hadn't launched yet and Steve's group wasn't in immediate danger, he held off from intervening.
Banner had been accidentally teleported away, but he wasn't in any danger—he might just take a while to return.
For George, taking action now would diminish the significance of the crisis, not to mention it wouldn't highlight the capabilities of the Academy of Superpowers.
It would be better to wait until the aircraft carriers were in the air and the world leaders began to panic. That would be the time to intervene.
Of course, if Steve and the others could resolve it on their own, George would simply pretend he hadn't been involved.
Tony's chest cannon attack was somewhat similar to his plasma electromagnetic cannon's attack mode.
However, while George's plasma electromagnetic cannon combined magic and superpowers, Tony had used God Realm technology to mimic the attack, creating a similar effect.
In terms of power, Tony's chest cannon was much weaker than George's plasma electromagnetic cannon.
George's plasma cannon could slice a small mountain in half. If he used it now, the Tri-Wing Building would be split into pieces.
It was normal, though. The Rainbow Bridge wasn't just a technological product—it was the pinnacle of the combination of God Realm magic and technology, perhaps even infused with divine power, which was why it had such tremendous power and effect.
Tony had merely utilized the technology behind it, so the power of his cannon was still impressive, but nowhere near as immense as the true capabilities of the Rainbow Bridge.
"It's that guy again. I didn't expect the superpowered people from this world to be working with Hydra."
George was once again distracted by the situation unfolding with Tony.
After Tony passed through the remaining Hydra robots and soldiers, he was stopped once again at the entrance of the building by those superpowered individuals.
The blind teleporter Gordon and the seismic-wave manipulator Daisy—both of them were recognizable to George.
But he hadn't expected that the superpowered individuals in this world were Hydra's subordinates.
As Tony was about to enter the building, Daisy, wearing special Hydra arm armor, raised both hands and began releasing wave after wave of seismic shockwaves aimed at him.
Having grown up in the "next life," Daisy had learned much about superpowers. After awakening her powers with the help of crystals, she quickly mastered her abilities.
Moreover, Hydra had outfitted her with enhanced arm armor to better amplify her powers.
Now, the shockwaves she emitted weren't the usual shock waves, but ripples that could pass through mechanical defenses and shake the brain. While they weren't lethal, they caused excruciating headaches.
Sure enough, Tony, struck by the shockwave, immediately halted his flight, clutching his head and plummeting to the ground.
"Jarvis, activate the shielding system, block the shockwaves."
Tony, now falling, quickly commanded Jarvis.
"Understood, sir!"
Jarvis immediately activated the armor's shielding system, blocking all the shockwaves from affecting the suit.
At that moment, Gordon, the blind teleporter who had previously sent Banner away, suddenly appeared behind Tony, intending to repeat the earlier move and teleport Tony away.
Pierce's mission was to stall for time until the three spaceborne aircraft carriers launched. So, if he could send these people far away to the other side of Earth, there was no fear of them getting back in time to stop the launch.
He had already teleported the Hulk to the Great Wall.
Afterward, Captain America and Wolverine had become more cautious. Every time Gordon got close, he was intercepted before he could use his powers. So far, he hadn't succeeded.
Now, with Iron Man under the influence of Daisy's shockwaves, Gordon figured it was the perfect time to send him to join the Hulk. Even if Iron Man was fast, he wouldn't have time to fly back before the aircraft carriers took off.
