Just as Gordon's hand was about to touch Tony, before he could even activate his ability, Tony's Iron Man suit suddenly released a powerful electric current, shocking Gordon so violently that he convulsed on the spot like a Parkinson's patient before passing out.

"You might not know this, but my suit has an automatic defense system!"

Looking down at the unconscious Gordon, Tony smirked in satisfaction.

This was a new feature he had added to his suit—an automatic countermeasure controlled by J.A.R.V.I.S. Even if he was unconscious, the suit could assess threats and launch a counterattack.

So, even though he hadn't fully recovered from the shockwave earlier, Gordon, who had tried to take advantage of him, was still knocked out by the system.

"Gordon!"

Seeing Gordon collapse, Daisy immediately cranked her shockwave ability to full power, blasting Tony straight back to where Steve and Logan were standing.

"That Shockwave Girl is pretty good!"

Watching from above, George couldn't help but admire Daisy's actions. Her repeated attacks had played a crucial role in halting their enemies.

He vaguely recalled that the TV show version of her wasn't this strong.

Then again, he had heard that in the comics, Quake had even defeated Magneto. He wasn't sure if that was true, though.

"Huh? The military's here too… and led by a familiar face."

At that moment, George noticed a large force of soldiers, tanks, and various military units approaching from the distance. The man at the front was none other than General Ross, whom he had briefly met before.

"Pierce, and all remaining HYDRA members—surrender immediately, or we will launch a full-scale assault!"

Ross's voice boomed from the command vehicle's loudspeaker, warning those inside the Triskelion.

"Tch, these guys sure took their time."

Tony stood up. The previous attack hadn't injured him—it had only pushed him back.

Up until now, neither the World Security Council nor the U.S. government had interfered in the conflict. HYDRA's deep infiltration had left them uncertain whether Nick Fury's warnings were true.

But now, the situation had escalated beyond doubt. Fury was dead, and Tony Stark himself had testified to the government. Only then did they realize the gravity of the crisis.

In response, the President had urgently assigned General Ross to mobilize all stationed troops near Washington D.C. and stop HYDRA's Helicarriers from launching.

As the military forces arrived, the remaining HYDRA agents, soldiers, and Inhumans fell back toward the Triskelion's entrance, setting up a final defensive line.

"I advise you all to cease your attack immediately!"

Pierce's voice echoed through a loudspeaker, his tone dripping with menace.

"The dozen or so agents who infiltrated this building? They're all in my custody now.

And inside, we still have plenty of loyal S.H.I.E.L.D. personnel as hostages.

If you dare to advance, I will execute them on the spot!"

With less than a minute until launch, he didn't expect the military to actually back off.

He just needed to stall for time.

"Pierce, do you think I'd be intimidated by your threats?"

General Ross let out a cold laugh from inside the command vehicle.

"Full assault—dead or alive. Flatten the entire Triskelion and ensure those three Helicarriers are completely destroyed!"

Before leaving, the government had given Ross absolute orders—stop the Helicarriers at all costs.

Civilians? Collateral damage was acceptable.

S.H.I.E.L.D. agents? Expendable.

As soon as Ross gave the order, the entire military force locked onto the Triskelion.

Tank cannons took aim.

Soldiers armed their rocket launchers.

Attack helicopters in the sky prepared their missiles.

If everything was fired at once, the entire Triskelion would be reduced to rubble.

And everyone inside—HYDRA and S.H.I.E.L.D. alike—would be buried along with it.

"Daisy, stop them!"

Standing by the window of the Director's office, Pierce was unsurprised by General Ross's decision. However, he remained unfazed—he had already prepared for this scenario.

Outside the Triskelion, Daisy heard the order. Placing both hands firmly on the ground, she unleashed her full power.

Her mother, Jiaying, had once called her ability the strongest in Inhuman history—far more than just generating shockwave attacks.

"What the hell is going on?!"

Ross had just given his command when he suddenly realized something was wrong inside the command vehicle.

The ground beneath the military forces began to shake violently under Daisy's power. Cracks split open the earth, widening into deep chasms.

Before they could even fire, tanks and soldiers alike tumbled into the fissures.

At the same time, the large lake beside the Triskelion suddenly ruptured apart, and from its depths, three massive Helicarriers slowly rose into the sky.

"Target the Helicarriers! Fire!"

Realizing the severity of the situation, Ross immediately redirected the remaining attack helicopters, ordering them to lock onto the rising carriers.

But before the helicopters could even get a missile lock, the Helicarriers' energy cannons activated.

A dense barrage of energy blasts erupted from all three ships, wiping out the helicopters instantly.

Meanwhile, the soldiers on the ground—still struggling to recover from the earthquake—were bombarded mercilessly, leaving them completely incapacitated.

"Tony, get us up there!"

Steve quickly turned to Tony, realizing they had no time to waste.

From Pierce threatening hostages, to Ross rejecting negotiations and ordering an all-out attack, to the military's total annihilation—barely a minute had passed.

The three heroes hadn't even finished discussing whether to stop Ross first and rescue the hostages, or attack the Helicarriers directly.

Steve insisted on saving the hostages first—he refused to sacrifice innocent lives, especially since Bucky was among them.

Tony was torn. Logically, he agreed with Ross—eliminating HYDRA was the priority. But emotionally, he couldn't accept the collateral damage.

Logan was still struggling to process everything—things were escalating too fast.

"Got it!"

Tony immediately understood Steve's plan—at this point, there was no time for debate. He would carry Steve and Logan up to the Helicarriers, where they would split up and attempt to disable them from within.

But just as they prepared to move, an unexpected voice cut in.

"No need to go up. I'll handle it."

The three turned around to see George standing behind them.

"George, you're here! That's a relief!"

All three brightened at his arrival.

"I figured you guys might need backup, so I came to check things out. I didn't expect things to escalate this far."

Spreading his wings, George prepared to take off, intending to take down all three Helicarriers himself.

At this point, the World Security Council had likely realized the true threat of the Helicarriers—intervening now would be the best course of action.

However, before George could act, Tony's face suddenly turned pale.

"Rhodey just called—" Tony's voice tightened.

"A nuclear missile is on its way here. The World Security Council has deemed this situation uncontrollable… and they've decided to nuke the entire area."
