Marvel: Transmigrated with Travelling Frog?!

Chapter 271: Chapter 271: Frog's Return and the Green Lantern Ring

New York City, early morning.

Before Alan even opened his eyes, the long-lost system notification rang in his ears.

"Ding-dong! The Frog has returned."

"The Frog has brought back a special souvenir from its journey. Go check it out!"

Alan sprang out of bed with excitement, sunlight lazily streaming onto his expectant face.

Finally! The Frog had finally returned!

That little guy had been gone for so long, and Alan's patience had nearly worn thin. What had it brought back this time?

He opened the game's notification panel and saw the last unclaimed item.

Just one? After being gone for so long, it only brought back a single item?

The item was shrouded in a green glow, its outline resembling a ring. With curiosity, Alan tapped on it, and an information panel appeared.

[Green Lantern Ring of Will]: Specialty from the DC Universe. The green energy can materialize weapons or barriers based on the user's will, serve as a versatile tool, or simply act as an offensive energy beam.

"Holy crap! Holy crap!"

Alan was utterly shocked.

He hadn't expected the Frog to come back after so long with such a big surprise. In the DC Universe, while the Green Lantern Ring might not be considered a top-tier artifact—nor even the most powerful among the seven Lantern Corps—it possessed the unique ability to materialize weapons based on the user's imagination, a feature Alan had always envied.

"Extract! I must extract it!"

With great anticipation, Alan clicked the extraction button.

In an instant, a glowing green ring appeared before him. He nervously slipped it onto his finger, and at that moment, his eyes were enveloped in a green light.

An ancient, resonant voice echoed in his mind:

"Sentient lifeform detected. Alan Ford of Earth, you possess the strong will to overcome fear. Welcome to the Green Lantern Corps!"

As the voice faded, Alan felt a surge of power coursing through his body, amplifying his strength severalfold. Green energy swirled around his hands, morphing into various shapes at his will.

In the original DC Universe, the oath for the Green Lantern Ring varied from other rings. Perhaps because its users were all individuals with extraordinary willpower, each oath was unique. Alan, however, didn't recite any oath after obtaining the ring. After all, he was an outsider to this universe, and even the Green Lantern Ring couldn't fully perceive his existence.

Reabsorbing the green energy into himself, Alan, now brimming with excitement, jumped out of bed.

"A Green Lantern Ring! A DC artifact appearing in the Marvel Universe? Could this mean the two universes are finally going to connect?"

This thought sent Alan's heart racing.

He quickly opened the window, donned his Emperor Armor, and soared into the sky. The Green Lantern Ring's enhancement made him even faster. As he flew through the air, a wave of his hand materialized countless weapons before him.

He didn't stop there. Alan conducted experiments, manifesting every weapon he could imagine: tanks, fighter jets... every piece of modern weaponry was summoned and tested. But these weren't what he truly desired. A Green Lantern Ring's power often reflected the user's personal combat style, and its functions varied depending on the wielder.

For example, the ring could construct green energy constructs, enable telepathy, induce hypnosis, accelerate healing, and even translate any language in the universe.

Alan also knew that the Green Lantern Ring had a unique ability to communicate with other Lantern ring bearers, regardless of distance.

Swallowing nervously, he closed his eyes and focused on the ring's energy.

Perhaps, in this very moment, he could establish contact with members of the Seven Lantern Corps from the DC Universe...
