Marvel : Deadpool Is My Best Friend

Chapter 150: Chapter 150 : Wanda! This is how you should use chaos magic. I will only teach you once!

Alex Ray rushed to the scene like a bolt of lightning. The chaotic battlefield before him immediately made clear why Jean Grey had spiraled into such a violent state.

He caught sight of Storm and Boom-Boom lying in pools of blood, their bodies riddled with wounds. They were clearly out of commission. Their defeated and broken condition might have been what truly drove Jean over the edge, triggering her transformation into the Dark Phoenix.

Alex's sharp gaze swept across the battlefield and quickly locked onto Wanda and Jean.

Wanda's body was wreathed in chaos magic, burning like a crimson flame as she struggled to hold off Jean's relentless assault.

But Jean's power was continuing to rise, wild and unrestrained, as though she intended to devour everything in her path. Her eyes had turned pitch black, filled with unrelenting violence and madness.

Wanda was sinking into despair.

She knew—no matter how hard she fought or how deeply she tapped into her magic—she wouldn't be able to withstand the onslaught of the out-of-control Phoenix.

Her heart was heavy with helplessness and guilt.

She imagined how Alex would feel if he witnessed her performance here. He'd surely be disappointed.

She was so tired… so exhausted. She didn't know how much longer she could hold on.

"Alex… I might not be able to wait for you…" Wanda thought in sorrow.

But just as she was on the verge of giving up, Alex Ray suddenly appeared beside her.

He had seen Wanda's desperate resistance and understood that she was no match for the Dark Phoenix in her current state. His cold gaze locked onto Jean. This lunatic had dared to nearly kill Wanda and reduce Hell's Kitchen to ruins.

Alex raised a finger, flicked it lightly, and released a burst of light.

The flash carved a brilliant arc through the air like a meteor streaking across the night sky, and shot straight toward Jean.

Though Jean blocked it swiftly, she was forced to halt her assault on Wanda.

Alex rushed forward to support Wanda, eyes filled with both concern and pain.

"It's okay. I'm here now," he said gently.

At the sound of Alex's voice, most of the despair in Wanda's heart vanished in an instant.

She knew—if Alex was here—she could survive this ordeal.

"Leave the rest to me," Alex said firmly.

Wanda lowered her head like a scolded child, feeling ashamed and guilty. She believed she had failed Alex and caused him worry again.

But Alex looked at her and smiled. "You've done great. Take Pietro and your sister Polaris and get some rest."

He didn't blame Wanda at all. She had already pushed herself far beyond her limits.

Technically speaking, Wanda's chaos magic should rival the power of the Dark Phoenix. Their strengths were close in scale.

Of course, neither of them was at their peak yet. If both reached their full potential and fought here in Hell's Kitchen...

The entire universe might not survive the aftermath.

No matter how confident Alex was in his own strength, even he didn't believe he could beat both of them if they went all-out.

He still remembered that movie he'd watched back on his Earth—if Wanda hadn't been caught off guard, even Thanos with the Infinity Gauntlet wouldn't have been able to stop her.

Let alone the Dark Phoenix—who, once unleashed, didn't recognize anyone or anything.

That ridiculous scene in the movie where Jean died holding back the weight of an entire lake? Absolute nonsense. Someone with the power to manipulate molecules shouldn't have died like that.

In fact, both chaos magic and Phoenix Force, at their peak, could literally rewrite reality.

Wanda's greatest feat had been rewriting the entire mutant genome—wiping out nearly all mutants with a single phrase. Only the most powerful mutants had managed to retain their powers.

Jean's Phoenix Force wasn't any less impressive. Her fragments had once reignited the mutant gene across the globe and even caused more mutants to be born. The Phoenix Force was even said to be immune to causality itself.

That was enough to make Alex think the Infinity Stones were trash in comparison.

Sometimes, Alex couldn't help but feel that the universe was unfair. No matter how hard he worked, he'd never be able to compete with beings gifted with such broken powers from the start.

Luckily, he had his system.

Without it, surviving in the Marvel Universe would've been nearly impossible.

Still, Alex believed that even though the Dark Phoenix was immensely powerful, with his current strength, he could at least suppress her—even if killing her was out of the question.

After all, the Phoenix Force was immortal. At its most extreme, it could even resurrect the dead. The only unknown was whether Jean had tapped into that level of power yet.

As Alex pondered, Jean launched her next attack without mercy. Fully devoured by the Phoenix Force, her mind was gone—replaced by a storm of destructive energy that surged through her body.

She had become an uncontrollable, chaotic being.

Her attack radiated destructive intent, as if determined to annihilate anything in her path.

But Alex didn't seem concerned.

He casually tilted his head and said lightly, "On my right." Then he summoned Deadpool.

Deadpool had barely appeared when a blast of molecular energy from the Dark Phoenix struck him square in the chest.

The red wine and glass he had been holding spun in the air in a graceful arc before crashing to the ground in a spectacular shatter.

When Deadpool regenerated moments later, he stared at Alex in disbelief, as if asking: Am I your human shield now?

He hadn't expected to be dragged into this chaos out of nowhere—only to get a gaping hole blown in him the moment he arrived.

If not for his immortality, he'd be a pile of meat right now.

"Did Alex do this on purpose? Did he find out I was slacking off?" Deadpool wondered with a pang of guilt.

Still, he turned to face Jean with a smug grin plastered across his face.

He ignored Alex's deadpan expression and shouted, "How dare you cause such chaos in my neighborhood! Sure, you're hot—but that doesn't mean you can just do whatever you want!"

With that, he unsheathed both katanas and charged straight at Jean with theatrical flair.

His movements were fast and furious—like he was trying to pour all his outrage and embarrassment into this one wild assault.

"Watch this! You're the one who wanted to fight me, right?" Deadpool yelled as his blades sliced through the air.

"Let me show you just how awesome I am!" he continued shouting, determined to back up his trash talk with action.

But his cocky grin didn't last long.

Within seconds, the Dark Phoenix struck back, folding his limbs like a crushed action figure and sending him flying like a rag doll.

Wanda, despite everything, couldn't help but giggle at the sight.

Deadpool regenerated quickly and crawled over to Alex, clinging to his leg like a sobbing child. "Alex, she bullied me! I can't beat her!"

Alex looked down at him and laughed helplessly.

He couldn't help but sigh inwardly. What kind of lunatic actually thought he could take on an enraged Phoenix by himself? Was that courage… or sheer stupidity?

"Alright, I didn't summon you here to fight her. Take out the Horse Talisman and heal Pietro and Wanda. Leave the rest to me," Alex said calmly.

At Alex's words, Deadpool finally shifted his gaze to Pietro lying motionless on the ground.

"Hahahaha! Look at you now, Pitbull!" Deadpool laughed wildly, showing no restraint.

Alex paid no mind to Deadpool's mockery. His focus was entirely on the out-of-control Dark Phoenix. "You're the one who hurt my family."

As he spoke, his eyes turned crimson, and a red aura surged around him—an unmistakable sign of his chaotic energy awakening.

Just because Wanda couldn't defeat the Dark Phoenix with her chaos magic... doesn't mean Alex couldn't!

An eye for an eye. A tooth for a tooth. That's the law of Hell's Kitchen.

"Wanda, watch closely—this is how you're supposed to use chaos magic!"
