Alex Ray was far away in Hell's Kitchen, leisurely making tea and enjoying a rare moment of quiet.

Suddenly, his phone rang, displaying an unknown number. Alex frowned, staring at the screen with confusion, hesitating whether to answer.

He thought to himself, What kind of trouble could this be? He just wanted some peace.

Alex had always hated unsolicited calls. Why couldn't people just send a message? Without hesitation, he hung up.

Closing his eyes, he continued sipping his tea, savoring the calm.

This is life!

But the phone rang again. The same unknown number.

Annoyed, Alex muttered, "So irritating. I never answer unknown calls!" and hung up, cursing under his breath.

Yet the persistent number kept calling.

Alex hung up once more, but the phone rang stubbornly again.

After several repetitions, Alex realized what was happening—his phone had been hacked! It was answering calls automatically, beyond his control.

From the other end came a mechanical voice: "Mr. Alex Ray, hello. I am Jarvis, calling to request your assistance."

"My master, Tony Stark, is currently under attack by S.H.I.E.L.D. His chance of escape is only 40%, and his chance of victory less than 1%. I hope you can save him."

Alex stared at the phone in disbelief.

Why didn't Tony just call himself? Jarvis sounded like an AI, but who could be sure this wasn't a scam?

Nowadays, scammers were so skilled they hacked phones to fake AI voices.

With such skills, why bother faking? Or is the bar for scammers that high now?

"According to Mr. Alex Ray's past cooperation, we have prepared a reward of 100 million US dollars. This is the highest authorization I can grant."

Alex wasn't excited about the hundred million. He was speechless.

Scammers these days always flaunt huge sums. Do they think they're Tony Stark?

He planned to set the phone aside and go upstairs to rest.

Then, suddenly, a text arrived: $1 had been deposited into his bank account.

Usually calm, Alex was uneasy seeing the long string of zeros behind that digit. Could this really be a scam?

Could Tony truly be in trouble?

Jarvis released control of Alex's phone and added, "The payment is complete. Mr. Alex Ray, please leave immediately. Tony Stark's location has been sent to you via map. Travel time is approximately 30 minutes by flight."

Alex opened his mobile banking app and confirmed the money had arrived. Without hesitation, he stood.

Seems Tony really is in trouble. That guy never asks for help directly.

The "NIck Fury" still owed him a favor anyway, so he'd go to S.H.I.E.L.D. to retrieve the Space Stone. Alex had been curious whether the Space Stone could aid his system.

He'd been delayed before, so now was the perfect time.

If he brought Tony back, 100 million was a pretty good deal.

"No problem. I don't need 30 minutes. We can't keep our sponsor waiting!" Alex stretched out his right hand, creating a portal and drawing a circle in the void.

Alex looked at Tony with a hint of helplessness.

Why can't this guy just leave him alone? The past few months have been the busiest of his life.

Tony's reckless—daring to challenge all of S.H.I.E.L.D. alone. Why doesn't he go to hell?

He couldn't even take down Captain America, yet he challenged them all solo?

Doesn't Tony know his greatest weapon is money?

Despite this, Alex considered the man before him—a billionaire who just wired him 100 million.

Alex helped Tony to his feet with a smile, dusting off his armor.

Then he fixed Tony's disheveled hair.

After all, the customer is king, especially when they just paid 100 million.

Alex's friendly demeanor made Tony uneasy. He took a half step back, eyeing Alex suspiciously.

Noticing Tony's wary look, Alex rolled his eyes, "If some AI hadn't transferred 100 million to me, do you think I'd be here?"

Tony immediately realized it was Jarvis causing the fuss. He was touched yet puzzled that Alex had come to rescue him on his own orders.

Laughing bitterly, Tony thought, Alex Ray hasn't changed—still so blunt and practical.

Once Tony knew the money was paid, he relaxed and said, "Quick, make them hand over Bucky's body."

Alex frowned. This was different from the mission Jarvis gave him.

Jarvis only asked to rescue Tony, not retrieve a body.

Alex, trained with long experience in bad luck, felt uneasy.

Alex and Tony stood on one side talking. On the other side, Hawkeye and other agents remained alert but cautious.

They knew Alex's abilities were formidable and dared not act rashly without knowing his intent.

Captain America also noticed Alex's sudden appearance.

Though unfamiliar with him, Steve Rogers keenly observed the wary looks from S.H.I.E.L.D. agents and Hawkeye.

The fear in their eyes intrigued him.

He understood this man's arrival was no accident—he'd come to save Tony.

Steve approached slowly, each step firm and determined.

Looking Alex in the eye, he said, "Friend, I don't know who you are, but this isn't the place for you. Tell me why you're here; maybe we can find a better solution."

Alex stopped speaking to Tony and met Captain America's gaze, confident and composed.

"I don't want trouble. Hand over Bucky's body, then I'll get something from Nick Fury, and leave with Tony."

Though this deviated from his original mission, Alex didn't want to return to S.H.I.E.L.D. for the Space Stone another time.

Steve's face darkened, anger and confusion flashing.

How dare this man speak so arrogantly?

But he held back, taking a deep breath to calm himself.

Alex looked at the angry Captain America without fear.

He smiled and said, "Believe me, this is the best choice. You don't want more trouble over a corpse."

His words stirred discontent among the S.H.I.E.L.D. agents.

Though Natasha Romanoff and Clint Barton knew they couldn't match Alex, they surrounded him with other agents, ready to strike at a moment's notice.
