Chapter 9: Nine
Chapter 9
Lucian's POV
"Help me!" I heard a shout from the toilet.*
I rushed in through the doors. I looked around and saw a boy clutching his chest on the ground.
*"What is wrong?"* I asked him.
*"My chest hurts a lot!"* he cried.
He looked about 12 years old, maybe a second year in junior high.
Kneeling beside him, I placed my hands on his chest and rubbed the area gently, releasing the congestion.
Closing my eyes and reopening them, I absorbed the pain and removed my hands.
I leaned against the toilet wall, regaining myself. I was sweating profusely, and my chest felt like it was on fire.
*"I don't feel the pain again,"* the boy said, jumping up.
I smiled dryly, *"That's good."*
*"This is a miracle!"* he exclaimed.
*"Why are you looking so weak?"* he asked, stepping closer.
*"I'm just tired,"* I said.
I managed to stand up.
*"See, I'm fine,"* I said, smiling.
*"Thank you for healing me,"* he smiled.
I nodded, and we left the toilet.
A month later
I was kneeling beside Lily. I placed my hands over her eyes and did my magic. But instead of seeing, she still couldn't see.
*"What's happening, Lucian?"* she asked.
*"I don't know, Lily,"* I said, shaking.
What went wrong?
My back ached terribly, and blood started coming out of my eyes.
*"What's going on with me?"*
*"What? Lucian?"* Lily asked.
*"I don't know, Lily, I feel different."*
I told her what had happened, and she was scared.
*"I told you not to do it, Lucian,"* she said.
*"See what is happening to you now,"* she said.
All at once, the pain stabbed me from behind and I screamed loudly.
I woke up sweating profusely.
''It was all a dream,'' I said thankfully. What kind of dream is that?
Is what I'm about to do wrong?
I need answers.
It was 12 am in the morning,
I reassured myself that everything would be fine.
I'm doing the right thing; it's not a bad thing and it won't lead to worse things happening.
I laid back on the bed, my blanket covering my body.
I slid back to sleep rather peacefully.
