Chapter 8: Eight
Chapter 8
Lily's POV
"Did I tell you how much I've missed you?" I asked.
We were sitting in the sitting room after I finished eating.
"I missed you too," he said.
"I doubt it," I said.
"What makes you doubt it?" he asked.
"You didn't come earlier."
"I know and I'm sorry."
I nodded my head. He apologized.
"Never doubt my love for you," he said, tucking my hair behind my ears.
"Okay and thanks," I said smiling.
"I wish I could see your face, and I tell you that you're the most good looking guy I've seen."
"Really?"
"Yes Lucian, you're really cute."
"Thank you, do you know what?"
"What?" I asked.
"You're the most beautiful lady I have ever set my eyes on." he said.
"Wow! Really?"
"Yes, pretty," he said.
"Thank you."
"You're welcome," he said.
"So what did the doctor say?" he asked.
I told him and he didn't speak for long —
"I want to help you," he said.
"How Lucian?"
"I could heal you."
"But you're gonna take the blindness," I said.
"I'm not sure about that, but I can give it a try," he said.
"It's too risky Lucian... I don't want you getting into trouble because of me."
"I want to do it, I can't stand seeing you like this, my heart is bleeding," he said.
I was touched, I smiled at him.
"And you don't feel pains in your eyes, right?" he asked.
"Nope," I answered.
"Then there will be no way for me to absorb the blindness, I only absorb pain," he said.
"You have to talk to dad first," I said.
"I will explain it to him," he replied.
"I'm still not sure of this, Lucian," I said.
"Give me a chance, Lily. I want to help — I'm confident about this."
"Okay... If Dad agrees to it, we'll do it," I said.
"Thanks — I'm sure it will be safe for both of us," he said.
"I hope so," I whispered.
He placed my head on his shoulder and I rested comfortably on him.
