Chapter 10

Lucian's POV

We are in Lily's room. Her dad, she and I

Her dad laid on her bed and I sat beside her.

"Are you sure about this son?" he asked.

"I'm sure more than ever." I replied.

He patted my back giving me a thumbs up.

"Ready?" I asked Lily

"Ready," she whispered.

I set to work immediately, placing my hands over her eyes.

I closed my eyes and tried to calm my spirit —

Everywhere began calm and still like the slow moving of the waters — —

I focused my mind on Lily's smiling face as she played on my memory — —

My hands began moving slowly on her eyes and working its magic on her —

My eyes still closed, I opened each eye of her and blew air into it gently to ease the fire burning — My hands were burning as I massaged her eyes absorbing all the flames of the fire.

I opened my eyes and removed my hands from her eyes.

"You can open your eyes now," I said to her.

She started opening it slowly and her green fierce eyes flipped open staring at me — —

Lily's POV

I opened my eyes slowly, meeting the ocean blue eyes of Lucian staring at me.

"Is that you Lucian?" I asked, sitting up —

He nodded, smiling, and stood up walking to the door.

"Welcome back darling," Dad said — —

I stood up on my own and ran to him — —

"Thank you Lucian." I said, hugging him to myself.

He patted my back and my hair.

"You're welcome Lily," he whispered on my hair.

Tears of joy streamed down my cheeks as I hugged Dad.

"Congratulations — I'm so happy for you," he said —

"Thank you Dad — for being there for me during my dark days," I said.

"It's my duty dear — and I'm happy I did it." he said —

"I have to freeze my aching hands." Lucian said

I opened the bathroom door, and he got in.

I closed it after him.

"This has to go." Dad said — taking my stick.

I smiled "It sure does." I said

He left my room with the stick in his hands — —

I slid back to my bed and sat down waiting for Lucian.
