Legendary Beast Master: Starting with Contracting SSS Rank Dragon

Chapter 108: New God

After a few weeks of grinding, Kael and his group finally encountered a bottleneck where their improvement slowed down by a lot.

Apparently, they also needed to fight and experience the world alongside giving their mind and body some cooldown time to let it heal.

After all, grinding was quite a torture on their poor bodies and souls. It exhausted them mentally, and a short rest couldn't help it much.

So, they decided to end their training since they had already improved by a lot.

Kael could have gone a little longer, but he decided to focus on other matters first. After all, he had a bigger task to fulfill that he had been ignoring for a while now.

Expanding his Empire.

On a fine morning, all of them gathered at the base of the Giant Storm Tree as they prepared to discuss their next plan.

Kael had already begun to consider everyone as his family, so he always consulted with them on important decisions as he didn't consider himself a good leader.

There was a major change in them.

While the twin lions seemed to look the same, their aura and presence had become stronger. Their gaze seemed to be filled with such intensity that a simple glance could kill anyone.

They had improved a lot, which also affected their Soul, and that was the reason for their change in presence and aura.

There would have been many scars and wounds left on their bodies if they didn't have Kael's help. He had used some metals to craft a solid silver armor that suited the mighty lions.

It was also enhanced by the [Draconic Regeneration] Enchantment.

As for their younger sister, Kiona, who stood before Kael, she emitted a much stronger presence, as if she was a completely different person.

However, there was no change in her expression or eyes whatsoever. They were just as lively as before because she was staring at her mate.

She wore a simple white T-shirt that was tucked into high-waisted shorts with an opening for her majestic tail that was wagging behind her, giving away her intentions to Kael.

But did she care? Hell no!!

She was very happy to show her emotions to Kael, who could only chuckle in amusement.

Coming to the leader himself, Kael didn't seem to have changed at all. In fact, his ferocious aura and presence seemed to have gone down.

Even the unconscious pressure he emitted because of his bloodline seemed to have vanished completely.

He looked like a simple, mundane human who had lost his way in that sense.

Anyone would think like that unless they witnessed his eyes...eyes that were deep like an ocean, filled with dark mysteries that only he could understand.

Others would simply drown themselves if they dared to see through his mysterious, charming eyes.

Well, charming according to Kiona.

But even with this, nobody questioned him about what had actually happened because they could feel a sensation from their bond with him.

It was much more powerful than before, so they could sense his presence better than anyone else and it left them shaken when they first tried to probe him.

It was as if they had only improved minutely, and he had done it severalfold. They were unaware of the exact details, but there was one thing they knew and believed with all their being:

He had become much more powerful than ever, so much that they couldn't even comprehend.

Rias, who was standing on the side, was the only one deeply aware of Kael's situation. It could even be said that she knew more than even Kael himself.

After all, she could see things even he couldn't.

'First Legendary Dragon in the history of this world,' Rias thought, her eyes fixated on the strange young man who had claimed to save her. 'He is really suitable for that title. So much improvement in just a few weeks is ridiculous.'

As someone who was standing at the top of the Physical World, Rias was well aware that even Legendary-Tier Evolution couldn't bring such progress.

It only meant that Kael had done it all by himself.

He brought out the true potential of being the First Legendary Dragon.

As for Rias herself, she didn't do much in the past few days aside from settling her mental state and also checking out a few things.

She stopped her line of thought when she noticed Kael was about to start their discussion.

Kael coughed lightly into his fist and smiled brilliantly, "Ladies and Gentlemen! My name is Kael! And I am the leader of this small budding civilization."

"Nation," Rias tried to correct him.

"Aiyo! I didn't mean that." Seeing her confusion, he smiled even more and said, "I meant we are basically starting as a civilization, so why not call it that?"

Although they found his logic quite illogical, they decided to ignore it. It wasn't the first time he talked so randomly, so they were already used to his shenanigans.

"Ahem! Anyways, our training arc ends here peacefully, and its full credit goes to Rias. Give her a round of applause!" Kael clapped.

Sadly, only Kiona was there to assist him properly, as the giant beasts tried to clap with their paws which came out so funny that Kael began to laugh out loud.

Rias stared at him strangely, thinking, 'Something is definitely wrong with him. Is it because I sucked out his Essence?'

Kael had been giving her the regular dose of his essence, which had helped her a lot. It not only brought her memories back slowly, but her personality was also improving.

But she was still quite clumsy.

As for why he was praising her, it was because she had been standing guard over their little town, which was the sole reason they could focus on their improvement with all of their heart.

Kael cleared his throat again and ignored Rias when she didn't react even a bit. He made everyone sit down and sat on a rock himself.

His face turned serious as he said, "Now that celebrations are over, we need to get back to our main problem which are the Humans and the Elves."

He had honestly expected one or two attacks at least from the humans. Heck, even if they didn't attack, then they would at least send scouts, right?

But it was their eerie silence which unnerved him.

After talking with Rias, he learned that they were still patrolling on the borders, so they had definitely not given up. But he couldn't understand why they didn't do anything until now.

After all, the time was enough to gather even a large force or a small one of elites. But nothing happened.

That wasn't even his biggest concern.

What made him truly worried was the strange behavior of the Elves. They hadn't come to check at all.

He expected them to send out scouts for the Labyrinth, but they didn't and when he thought they would definitely send someone when he pretended to be an Elf, they still didn't do anything.

If Kiona hadn't personally met an elf, Kael would have considered whether these elusive beings even existed or not.

The situation had turned so strange and unknown that it made Kael uneasy. After all, he could make plans and strategies if he knew the situation but everything was blank.

He had even taken the risk of sending Rias to both of their Domains, but the results were no different.

The Elves had erected a powerful barrier which—if Rias tried to even cross—it would alert them. Note: Check M_VLEMPY_R for any corrections.

As for humans, they weren't aware of the grand schemes, and Kael didn't want to risk alerting the Church yet.

After all, the Church was still in the dark till now, since they practically had no knowledge about the situation here.

But if he tried to poke them, they would be alerted and become aware of their presence.

It was something that Kael didn't wish to do yet.

They were still very small and weak.

This was why he had decided to proceed with his old plan.

"What do you plan to do, Master?" Kiona asked calmly.

They were also aware of the situation, so naturally they were worried but they soon left all of their worries along with responsibilities on Kael's head.

Kael flashed a knowing smile at her and said, "Of course, we are going to expand our civilization." Before Kiona could say anything, he added, "I know, let me finish."

He looked at everyone and smiled, "We are going to do a journey to the east to find new members for our nation. It is time to show the other tribes what we are capable of…"

He paused and straightened up, his smile disappearing from his face along with his cheerfulness. A powerful aura that even made the Giant Storm Tree rustle erupted from him.

"It is time to let them know about their new leader… their new God!!"

A thick bolt of lightning flashed in the skies of Valoran Wilds, giving them a glimpse of their future.
