Chapter 7: Chapter 7: Genius Morkel! Hokage's Request

The Third Hokage ignored Yamato's shame, and after receiving confirmation, he turned his full attention to Morkel.

This child was a genius!

An absolute genius!

After recovering from the shock, the Third Hokage felt the lingering Wind Style Chakra in the pit. He hurriedly asked Morkel, "Where did you learn this ninjutsu?"

This kind of Wind Style Ninjutsu was unlike anything he had seen before. As a professor of ninjutsu, he had spent years studying various techniques. He recognized the marks left by the Rasengan in the massive crater, yet Rasengan itself was a non-attribute technique, meaning it shouldn't have Wind Chakra present.

The only conclusion was that this was a modified version of Rasengan, enhanced with Wind Style Chakra!

"I just figured it out," Morkel answered innocently.

Morkel then pointed at Yamato, who was still on the stretcher. "I thought he was an assassin from another village, so I tried using Wind Style Chakra to simulate the shape of a shuriken."

"Go on," the Third Hokage urged, looking at Morkel with expectation.

"And then… it worked," Morkel finished simply.

The Third Hokage: ???

And then it worked… just like that?!

Inventing a brand-new ninjutsu was supposed to take years of rigorous experimentation! Even the Second Hokage had to undergo countless trials to develop new techniques.

Yet this child had dismissed the process with just one sentence!

The Third Hokage felt a mixture of emotions.

He had originally thought Morkel was just an exceptionally talented young ninja. But now, it was clear—Morkel's talent was absolutely terrifying!

Even after years of studying ninjutsu, the Third Hokage had never seen anyone perform Wind Style like this. Even the ancient texts contained no record of such a technique.

This meant that Morkel had truly invented this powerful Wind Style technique on his own!

In just a few years of learning ninjutsu, he had mastered Rasengan and even developed a new Wind Style attack with immense destructive potential!

If this wasn't monstrous talent, then what was?!

"Morkel, let me ask you again—are you sure no one taught you this? Not Jiraiya, or someone else?" the Third Hokage asked, needing to confirm it one last time.

Morkel assumed the Hokage was reprimanding him for recklessly using his technique, so he quickly lowered his head and replied, "No, I figured it out myself."

Seeing his reaction, the Third Hokage asked no further questions. He was now worried that if other villages learned about Morkel's extraordinary abilities, they might attempt to steal him away or even eliminate him.

So, he swiftly ordered the patrol team to keep their mouths shut.

At the same time, he didn't want Morkel to get too arrogant. Deliberately, he said, "Morkel, you performed the ninjutsu well this time, but your control is lacking. If it were better, your house wouldn't have been destroyed."

"So, don't just focus on learning more advanced techniques. Master the ones you have and refine them to perfection."

Morkel nodded. It made sense.

The path of a ninja was long and arduous.

He was just a beginner!

This achievement was nothing in the grand scheme of things!

Looking up at the Third Hokage, he was struck with admiration.

As expected of the Hokage! His advice was so insightful and enlightening!

"Understood, Hokage-sama! I'll focus on mastering this technique until I reach the pinnacle!" Morkel promised seriously.

The Third Hokage nodded approvingly, then prepared to leave with the Konoha patrol team and the injured Yamato.

Morkel, however, was now faced with a dilemma—his house was gone. Where would he sleep tonight?

"Hokage-sama…" Morkel called out cautiously.

The Third Hokage turned around, immediately understanding the problem.

"You should stay with Naruto tonight," he said. "Morkel, you're smart, and you're friends with Naruto—help him out."

"Don't worry, Hokage-sama!" Morkel responded enthusiastically.

Not long after, Morkel was dropped off at Naruto's doorstep by the patrol team.

Standing outside, he could hear the sound of something colliding inside Naruto's house.

"Naruto!" Morkel knocked on the door.

A few seconds later, Naruto opened it, looking confused.

"Morkel? What are you doing here?"

Morkel explained, "A ninja from another village attacked my house and blew it up."

He didn't want to lie, but the Third Hokage had strictly forbidden him from revealing the full details.

Naruto's eyes widened in shock. "Man, that's rough! Come in!"

Inside, Morkel noticed a wooden target in the middle of Naruto's living room with multiple shurikens embedded in it.

Recalling the noises he had heard outside, along with Naruto's sweaty face, he quickly realized—Naruto had been secretly training by himself!

"How's the practice going?" Morkel asked.

Naruto scratched his head, looking slightly embarrassed. "Eh, it's okay. I feel like whether I hit the target or not is all luck."

Remembering the Hokage's request to help Naruto, Morkel decided to share some of his own knowledge.

"Shuriken throwing isn't just about practice—it's about finding the right technique. Watch…"

As he explained, Naruto's eyes lit up with amazement. "Morkel, where did you learn all this? Iruka-sensei never taught us this!"

"Of course not. Iruka-sensei said we had to figure it out on our own. So I did," Morkel replied casually. "Sasuke, Shikamaru, and the others have probably already mastered it."

"We can't fall too far behind, or we won't be able to graduate."

"Come on, try what I just showed you."

Naruto froze in shock.

According to Morkel, Sasuke, Shikamaru, and the others had already mastered the Shuriken Clone Technique?!

Not only that, but they could throw ten shurikens at once and hit the bullseye?!

And even more, they could make their shurikens ricochet off the terrain and still hit their targets?!

This was insane!

Up until now, Naruto had thought he wasn't too different from his classmates.

But after hearing Morkel's words, he realized just how far behind he truly was!

Not to mention graduation—he was barely staying in the academy at all!

If not for Iruka's kindness, he might have already been expelled!

Taking a deep breath, Naruto accepted reality and resolved to push himself harder.

"Morkel! I need to work even harder, or I won't be able to keep up with everyone!"

Morkel grinned. "Yeah! Let's work hard together!"
