Kind-hearted Grim Reaper

Chapter 24: Chapter 7: A Flash of Hades (Part 2)_1

Ah Dai wiped off the sweat on his forehead with his other hand. After applying the Flame Spell for an hour, his magic power was almost reaching its limit. Finally, most of the water had evaporated. Ah Dai looked satisfactorily at the paste-like silver fluid in front of him. He took out a silver mould from the cabinet and carefully poured the fluid from the furnace into the mould.

The mould was extremely hot. Ah Dai cautiously placed it in the prepared water. Hiss—A puff of white smoke rose from the mould. Ah Dai let out a sigh of relief, knowing that what he had set out to make was done.

After a while, the mould had completely cooled down. Ah Dai carefully picked it up and opened it on the table. Ten small silver balls appeared in his sight. The silver balls emitted a faint scent. Ah! It succeeded. He grabbed a silver ball and ran out quickly. Already over an hour had passed, he didn't know how the white-clothed man was doing.

When Ah Dai returned to the place where the white-clothed man had fainted, the man was gone, and so was the wide sword that had been stabbed into the ground. Ah Dai stood there stunned, somewhat at a loss of what to do next.

Suddenly, he felt a slight chill on his neck, and a giant sword tip appeared on the side of his neck. He was immobilized as if a heavy weight was pressing on his shoulder.

"Who are you," a deep voice sounded from behind, it was the white-clothed man's voice.

Ah Dai, stunned, tried to turn around. A sudden force intensified on the sword, causing him to fall to the ground.

The tip of the sword was pointed at Ah Dai's chest. The white-clothed man repeated, "Who are you?" Turns out, he had regained consciousness before Ah Dai had left. But because he had to use all his power to suppress the poison of Saint Water, he didn't have the slightest strength to resist. Once Ah Dai had left, he managed to control the poison with great difficulty. Knowing he couldn't get far in his current physical condition, he pulled out the wide sword and hid. When Ah Dai came back, he saw an excited skinny boy with no martial prowess at all. His wariness naturally eased.

"I, I am Ah Dai," Ah Dai said timidly.

Ah Dai? What kind of name was that? The white-clothed man was somewhat taken aback, "Why are you here, and where were you just now?"

"I, I live nearby! I just went to make some medicine. You have been poisoned by Saint Water, it must be treated immediately."

Hearing Ah Dai's words, the white-clothed man was shocked, losing his voice, "What? You can neutralize the deadly poison of Saint Water?"

Ah Dai shook his head and honestly said, "I can't. But, my teacher has a way to temporarily suppress the poison so it won't attack."

A hint of joy flashed across the white-clothed man's eyes. He coldly responded, "That means, you heard everything I was saying to those guys earlier. Why did you save me?" A chilling murderous aura emanated from him. Despite being heavily afflicted by the Saint Water, he could still easily kill the young life in front of him.

Ah Dai scratched his head. Although the killing aura the white-clothed man was exuding made him uneasy, he could tell the man didn't intend to hurt him, "Does saving a life need a reason?"

The white-clothed man was taken aback by his question, speaking in a gruff voice: "Are you really going to help me suppress the poison of Saint Water?" He was now at his last gasp, all his True Qi had been consumed to suppress the poison. The Wide Sword was heavy, and his arm was trembling slightly.

Ah Dai nodded, saying, "Yes."

The white-clothed man asked further, "Are you confident?"

Ah Dai shook his head, responding, "No. It's my first time making a potion. I have only seen the teacher make other potions before. But, I strictly followed the formula in my teacher's notes, and my teacher is a great Alchemist."

The white-clothed man was shocked. An Alchemist? It seemed that the child really wasn't one of the Lord's men. He let go of the sword and threw it aside, looking coldly at Ah Dai, saying, "I'll trust you for now. Where's the medicine? Bring it here." He figured he was nearing his limit anyway, and thought he might as well try it. At worst, he would die.

Ah Dai responded and handed over the silver ball in his hand.

The white-clothed man took the silver ball, he froze for a moment. This heavy thing, could it be eaten? He asked, "This is the medicine?"

Ah Dai nodded, saying, "Yes, this is the medicine. The notes mentioned that this medicine is only suitable for people with a high level of cultivation. After swallowing it, the silver ball will automatically absorb the deadly poison of Saint Water, preventing it from spreading. However, because it contains Silver, so as not to press onto the internal organs, you must use True Qi to keep it within the body. Unfortunately, it can't fully absorb the poison of Saint Water, otherwise, it could really detoxify. The poison of Saint Water is still slowly seeping into your body, and this method can only suppress the poison."

After listening to Ah Dai's explanation, the white-clothed man believed him even more. He gritted his teeth and swallowed the silver ball.

Ah Dai added, "Remember, after swallowing the silver ball, you must use True Qi to gather the poison so that the silver ball can limit the poison to a certain extent."
