Kaijin Fighter: So I Have to Make Monsters, So What?

Chapter 1377: Horrific Wounds

Three seconds.

Three hits.

Three rebellious bastards swatted away like the annoying flies that they were.

Dante's newest kaijin did wonders in proving how much more powerful it was in comparison to his [Demon Knights], and was essentially proof that the man had achieved in a level when it came to the art of kaijin creation.

^What the fuck?!^ Olstenna cried in shock at the sudden turn of events. When his opponent, Slavina, suddenly dropped due to getting her power drained, Olstenna didn't immediately finish the Kaijin off as he wanted to see what the hell kind of being was capable of performing such a feat. Evidently, this turned out to be a foolish move on his part.

^How the hell did that thing—^

[Whoops. Missed one.]

Before he could finish his question, though, Olstenna was sent flying via a heavy palm strike.

The attack would've been fatal had he not thrown up his guard in time...his arms were definitely fucked up, though.

^Marvelous. Simply marvelous!^ Dante exclaimed with delight at the sight.

Having prove their superiority, Oizys returned to kneeling before Dante with a smile that was far too wide for their face.

[Will that be all, master?]

[Not quite, my dear Oizys,] Dante said with a level of familiarity and care that he had never expressed to his other kaijin before now. [Sweep your senses amongst the Kaijin in the room. What do you sense?]

[Hmmm.]

Following Dante's instructions, Oizys released a wave of [Chaos] in the cavern that scanned the remaining combatants in the room.

To the kaijin present, they felt as if their entire outside just got covered by slugs made of tongues.

[Nyeh!]

[That's...disgusting!]

[Is it just me, or does that guy feel stronger than his?]

The slimy feeling dispersed once Oizys had finished their task.

[Some of these Kaijin feel like they're related to me, but are inferior to me in practically every way.]

[Hey!]

[Say that to my face, tar baby!] Obsidious growled.

[Mixed amongst them though are kaijin that make my skin crawl and rage burn hotter than a bonfire,] Oizys continued. [Why is that, master?]

[Those other kaijin were made by someone who is simply a seat warmer to my throne. Knock-offs, if you will,] Dante explained to Oizys.

[Oh, please...]

At this comment, Razorstella, Springerdermain, and Screamira, all simultaneously rolled their eyes in disbelief at the sheer audacity of Dante's words.

[I see...] Oizys nodded in understanding as they directed a vicious gaze towards the aformentioned enemy kaijin.

[Now, what do you think we should do with knock-offs?] Dante asked with the same tone a parent may have a for a child...moments before they were tasked with decapitating the family pet pig.

[Why, we destroy them for having the audacity of violating our sacred identity of course,] Oizys answered with a level of certainty that was just downright unsettling. [Do I have permission to exact punishment on these pretenders, my master?]

[Of course.]

This confirmation was like a starting gun to Oizys's ears, and the kaijin of [Despair] raced towards delivering its own twisted brand of justice upon the ones it's master(s) deemed to be sinners.

[Break for me you foul fakes. And let your broken bodies be the steps to my ascension.]

...Now back to Zhen Liu's POV, and the present...

'Okay, fuck it,' Zhen Liu told himself as he entered a sprinter's starting pose and had Blazejudicator pool Ignarii aether into the soles of his feet. 'Maximum effort, zako creation party time.'

With his perception of time starting to pick back up, Zhen Liu realized that the window in which he could prevent the worst from happening was rapidly shrinking.

While his ability to make calculations wasn't as good as Logos and Pathos, Zhen Liu knew very well that if he didn't do anything then there was going to be a whole mess of casualties and corpses.

And in a fight like this, where either side could instantly create vicious warriors from anything and everything…Zhen Liu wanted to try and deny any advantages that Dante could leverage against him.

The fact that it involved saving a boatload of people from a terrible fate was just a happy accident…well, that's what he told himself anyways.

'Okay, I just need to rush in and—FUCK!'

[Executor!]

[Milord!]

Before Zhen Liu could even start rescuing people, three distinctive sharp pains suddenly struck at his chest, all at the same spot in rapid succession.

As the pain rocked his body, and his perception of time began to speed back up at an even greater rate, Zhen Liu could briefly feel that this pain was directly connected to Razorstella, Springerdermain, and Screamira.

And the pain was so intense that Zhen Liu was knocked to the ground and actively started to spit out mouthfuls of blood.

Yes, blood.

"What the fuck?" Zhen Liu managed to hiss between sharp gasps of air.

This was the first time in a while that Zhen Liu had actually seen his own blood, so the fact that he was feeling like this through a muted, slightly damaged connection meant that whomever or whatever injured his kaijin was something incredibly dangerous.

(Un)fortunately, he didn't have to speculate for too long.

[Executor, look! It's the others!] Blazejudicator called out in a voice that was absolutely mired in worry and not joyous delight.

"Oh…oh no."

Zhen Liu wasn't entirely sure how he hadn't noticed them first, but mixed amongst the falling rebels, rubble, and enemy kaijin were his own allies.

And they weren't looking too good.

"What the hell happened to them?!" Zhen Liu cried in a mix of alarm, rage, and anxiety.

Zhen Xing and Zhen Tai had noticeable palm-shaped indents in their chests, not deep enough to rupture organs and cause internal bleeding, but it was definitely painful enough that broken bones were a real issue for the duo.

Lyona, the lion Bloodliner that Zhen Liu recognized thanks to Nepherage's memories, looked a bit better than his cousins thanks to her wearing a [Regalia], but he could still see that same palm mark in her armor.

Lastly, Olstenna looked mostly fine, but Zhen Liu could see that both of his arms were swelling due to the bones and blood vessels inside being shattered by a heavy strike.

Zhen Liu had no idea what kind of monster was able to inflict such incredible wounds, but he did know one thing.

These injuries were nothing in comparison to what his kaijin were dealing with at this time.

Unlike his cousins and allies, who had only received heavy palm strikes to their torsos, Razorstella, Springerdermain, and Screamira all looked as if they were heavily beaten and brutalized.

[D-director…]

Razorstella's body was covered in cracks, while her fingers and bladed legs looked as if they had been horribly warped by a mixture of heat and kinetic damage.

[Ring…Master…]

Springerdermain's cloak and hat looked untouched, but the spring coils that composed his form looked stretched and strained like broken slinkies, while the more solid portions of his body were covered in pockmarks, the kind that were a telltale sign of excessive physical abuse.

[P…producer…]

As for Screamira, her bone-like armor was covered in cracks, just like Razorstella's body, but the damage was even worse than that. The horns on her head had been broken at the tips, leaving jagged and rough ends, while her shocking white hair had become a mess.

On top of all of this damage, Zhen Liu could see that there was black tar seeping into all of their wounds, making it nearly impossible for the kaijin to heal themselves from the damage that they had just received.

On the one hand, Zhen Liu was incredibly worried and filled with anxiety over the possibility of losing his precious kaijin due to a bad call on his end and had desperately wanted to beat a hasty retreat in order to save them from his foolish decisions.

Whether that bad call was having them try to fight Dante alone or coming to this shitty mine in the first place was up for debate.

On the other, Zhenliu was filled with an inglorious fury that made him want to go up to Dante right at this moment and rip his head off with his bare hands for having the utter audacity of harming his dear chi-kaijin.

Needless to say, the desire for retribution was much stronger.

"This motherfucker..."

In fact, it was so strong that Zhen Liu briefly forgot that there were about to be a fuckton of civilian casualties...at least, that's what he thought was going to happen.

Just as he was about to get back onto his feet and exact violent retribution on the one who harmed his kin, a series of [Chaos] projectiles suddenly fired off one after the other from out of nowhere and destroyed all the rubble pieces before they fell on to the aforementioned non-combatants.

"What the fuck?"

Needless to say, Zhen Liu was incredibly confused by this turn of events...and so was everyone else in the mines.
