Chapter 98: Who Gave Them the Courage?
Listening to Heisenberg's emotionless demand and looking at his cold face, Captain Marvel's breathing suddenly grew heavier.
She really wanted to punch Heisenberg in the face and make this bastard disappear from the world!
But she wouldn't do that, at least not now.
Because she needed the two Infinity Stones in Heisenberg's possession.
So she took a deep breath, trying to calm her anger, and sat down across from Heisenberg.
Seeing her sit, a hint of a smile appeared on Heisenberg's stern face, and he nodded.
"That's better. When discussing matters, you should act like you're discussing matters.
Sitting down to talk is called a conversation, but standing in front of me and ordering me around—that's called a command!
Do you think you have the right to command me?"
"I…!"
Veins instantly bulged on Captain Marvel's forehead.
Watching her struggle to contain her anger, Heisenberg showed no reaction, continuing to smile carelessly as always.
Only when she seemed completely calm did he finally speak.
"I have no right to restrain your actions, but morality does.
But I didn't come to discuss this with you!
I want to borrow two Infinity Stones from you because…"
"Stop!"
As soon as she spoke, Heisenberg raised his right hand to interrupt her.
Heisenberg pursed his lips, frowned, and bluntly told her,
"That's impossible."
"Don't be so sure!!!"
Captain Marvel instantly stood up, bracing her hands on the table and glaring at Heisenberg.
"I'm borrowing the Infinity Stones because of you!
You snapped your fingers recklessly, but only revived Earth's people!
So I need to borrow the Stones from you to revive all the cosmic beings you forgot!"
She shouted at Heisenberg.
And Heisenberg…
He sat there, head held high, face cold, silently staring at her.
"What do you mean?!"
Her breathing grew heavier. Even a response would be better than just staring—what does that mean?!
How much do you look down on me?!
"Do I not even deserve to speak to you, you bastard?!"
"Stop!"
Heisenberg interrupted her again, then gestured downward with his right hand.
Moments later, Captain Marvel gasped for breath and sat back on the sofa.
As soon as she sat, Heisenberg smiled and nodded, saying,
"That's better. Now I can answer your question!
You say I forgot about the vanished cosmic beings, so you want to snap again to revive them?"
"Exactly! You only revived the vanished life on Earth!"
She quickly nodded.
But Heisenberg just shook his head.
"You're wrong. I didn't forget them!"
Hearing this, she looked at Heisenberg in disbelief.
"Impossible! I'm certain the people from other cosmic empires weren't revived. You made a mistake!"
"Hmph…"
Hearing her naive words, seeing she still hadn't guessed his thoughts, Heisenberg's smile turned cold.
He leaned back on the sofa, enjoying the bear paw fed to him by the girl beside him, and said disdainfully,
"Not reviving cosmic beings—you see that as a mistake?
I didn't forget them; I simply didn't want to revive them.
Do you understand now, benevolent Carol? Tsk tsk."
"You did it on purpose!!!"
She instantly stood up, but this time, without Heisenberg's reminder, she clenched her teeth and sat back down.
Then she glared at the disdainful Heisenberg and shouted,
"Do you know what your actions will bring upon Earth, you bastard!
You'll make Earth the target of the entire universe's jealousy, just because Earth's people regained their lost loved ones, but they didn't!
Do you know what their jealousy will lead to?
Hatred!
You'll make Earth their common enemy!!!"
"Hmph!"
Heisenberg snorted, responding discontentedly,
"I think I know what you're thinking. It seems you're indeed considering Earth's interests.
But do you know what I'm thinking?"
He tapped his temple with his right hand.
"Listen carefully, Carol!
First, it was Thanos who took half their people, not Earth's people!
Second, it was Earth's people who first sought revenge on Thanos and figured out the Stones were already destroyed!
Finally, it was Earth's people who resolved to save their loved ones and traveled through time to my universe to gather the Infinity Stones!
Hmph!"
Heisenberg sneered, then continued,
"Those cosmic beings you speak of, mourning their loved ones—they didn't seek revenge or try to recover their loved ones.
Only when Earth's people found a way to restore everything did they smile along.
Do you know what you're doing?
You're forcing me to let them enjoy a miracle from the heavens, and you're demanding Earth share the rewards Earth's people earned through their own efforts!
Is this your idea of fairness?!"
"I…"
She froze, sitting there blankly, seemingly pondering how to counter Heisenberg's words.
But…
She wasn't good at debating, and her Binary powers didn't give her a Kryptonian-like intellect.
So her Binary powers flared, and she angrily snapped at Heisenberg,
"Enough nonsense! Tell me, will you hand over the Infinity Stones or not?
I need them to prevent Earth from becoming the universe's enemy—that's my only answer!"
"What the hell are you saying?
Just because Earth got what it deserved, the cosmic beings you protect want to wage war on Earth!
So what exactly are you protecting? Are you envious, greedy, or just a little angel under the gods of war?"
"Damn it, stop spewing this crap at me!"
She completely lost her temper, standing up and shouting at Heisenberg,
"I'll never understand your thoughts and actions, but I must tell you!
No matter what, I won't let Earth and the universe go to war.
If you don't want Earth to be targeted, you must revive them!
If you won't give me the Stones, I'll take them myself!"
As soon as she finished, Heisenberg also stood up.
He pushed the girl beside him aside and said,
"Take those bastards in the corner and hide far away. Once I deal with this trouble, I'll send you back to your homes before you were kidnapped and trafficked."
Under the girls' concerned gaze, Heisenberg flexed his wrists.
As he did, he said to her,
"Thanos snapped and destroyed their lives, yet they didn't seek revenge on Thanos.
Earth simply didn't give them their old lives back, and they want to take their anger out on Earth.
They didn't stop Thanos before it happened—that's their weakness.
They didn't think of or couldn't restore everything afterward—that's their lack of resolve.
So these weak, spineless beings dare to threaten Earth, which destroyed Thanos twice!
Who gave them the courage? Was it you, Carol?"
"Shut up!"
She shouted in anger, throwing a fierce punch at Heisenberg's chest.
The table between them couldn't stop her for a moment, instantly shattering into splinters.
Facing the punch, Heisenberg smirked.
He didn't dodge or evade, taking the blow head-on!
Boom!!!
Heisenberg didn't move, but a violent shockwave instantly spread outward.
Seeing it about to harm the two girls, Heisenberg deployed a bio-force field, containing the shockwave.
Then he grabbed her right wrist with his left hand and said softly,
"The only trouble you can cause me is your damn speed and space-jumping ability!"
As he spoke, his left hand tightened, ensuring she couldn't break free.
"So, I've got you!"
Boom!!!
In an instant, Heisenberg and Captain Marvel burst through the clouds, soaring out of Earth's atmosphere!
For beings like them, adept at flight and capable of surviving in the vacuum of space, only in the cosmos could they fully unleash their power!
As for Heisenberg's words, she didn't pay much attention.
There were too many in the universe who wanted to kill her, and she didn't think Heisenberg was anything special!
With her right hand still gripped by Heisenberg, she attacked his throat and chin with her left hand!
But Heisenberg's right hand easily blocked her attacks.
Not just defense—his right hand was far faster than her left.
In just seconds, her face was battered.
They fought like this for over ten seconds, and she finally clenched her teeth in frustration.
She couldn't break through his defense with her left hand to harm him.
So she stopped, smirking as she watched him attack.
All his heavy blows were blocked by her Binary energy shield.
Just like in Avengers: Endgame, when Thanos headbutted her with full force, her Binary energy only rippled slightly.
Even when Thanos struck her with the Power Stone, she was only knocked back, suffering no injuries!
Remember, the Power Stone could destroy Earth with a single strike.
Yet Thanos's blow with the Power Stone couldn't harm her…
So Heisenberg's punches couldn't break through her Binary shield in the short term.
All he achieved was making the ripples on her shield denser!
"You're tougher than I thought!"
Heisenberg grumbled, then stopped attacking. He tightened his grip on her right hand and said,
"Even in space, I think we can communicate uniquely. Your turtle shell is harder than I imagined."
"Hmph, you're weaker than I imagined, Superman!"
Now it was her turn to sneer. After laughing, she proudly tilted her head and mocked him,
"When I was young, my idols were Superman and Captain America.
As I grew up, I realized I surpassed Captain America.
Now I know I've surpassed you too!"
"Hmph, you're overestimating yourself."
Heisenberg scoffed, his eyes suddenly glowing red.
The intense light fiercely struck her face, causing her shield to violently fluctuate!
Unfazed, she extended her left hand, from which radiant waves burst forth!
The rainbow-like waves clashed with his heat vision, locking in a stalemate!
Then, Heisenberg suddenly retracted his heat vision and grabbed her left hand with his right, holding it tightly.
He dragged her at his current limit of 260,000 mach, speeding toward the distant sun!
As they flew, Heisenberg exerted all his strength to restrain her movements. Under his power and bio-force field, she couldn't space-jump with him!
