Injustice Superman in Marvel

Chapter 99: Hung Up

Realizing she'd lost the ability to space-jump, Carol finally took the fight seriously.

Their figures flashed past countless meteors, clashing endlessly in the boundless universe!

Carol fought desperately, kicking and thrashing, while Heisenberg restrained her and continuously used his heat vision to disrupt her Binary energy, preventing her from fully harnessing her power!

Though Heisenberg had the upper hand in control, he had to admit Carol's strength was formidable.

Their flight path was almost lightning-shaped!

Whenever Carol struggled with all her might, Heisenberg's trajectory would veer, and they crashed through countless meteors, even slamming into Venus!

Boom!!!

They landed awkwardly.

Like skipping stones, they bounced and fell across Venus's surface, leaving countless craters in their wake.

Until Heisenberg forcefully dragged her away from Venus, past Mercury…

As they drew closer to the sun, Heisenberg grew stronger!

When Carol's Binary waves clashed with Heisenberg's heat vision again, she was shocked to find her waves completely repelled!

Yes, the energy clash was no longer even—Heisenberg's offensive finally overwhelmed Carol's defense!

Heisenberg pushed through her waves, pinning her with his heat vision!

Blasted by the heat vision, Carol could barely see. Though her energy still protected her, all she could perceive was a blinding red light!

She frantically shook her head, trying to escape, but the heat vision followed relentlessly, tightening her panic and… fear.

She felt something was wrong!

During the time she couldn't see, her energy depletion accelerated!

This wasn't just from blocking the heat vision—it was as if something terrifying was burning her alive.

She desperately headbutted Heisenberg—once, twice, countless times!

Boom!

Finally, Carol slammed her head into Heisenberg's, breaking free from the heat vision's grip.

But to her horror, she found herself in a world of scorching red!

Explosions erupted around her, fierce gusts battering her Binary shield.

"This is the sun!!!"

She paled, instantly understanding.

"You really know how to pick a battlefield, Superman, but you can't hurt me—absolutely not!!!"

"Hmph!"

Heisenberg dragged her toward the sun's corona, sneering.

"A few minutes ago, you said I wasn't your match!

Now, you only say I can't hurt you!

Even you realize—you're going to die!"

"Never!!!"

Carol's Binary energy flared wildly as she desperately tried to space-jump them both away!

If she could escape this damn sun, she was confident she could defeat a mere Superman!!!

But just as her energy peaked, Heisenberg released her hand, gripping her throat instead.

Heisenberg lowered his head, his eyes locking onto hers.

"Look into my eyes!!!"

Heisenberg roared, his eyes blazing with unprecedented intensity!

The red light was so fierce it scorched his eye sockets into molten lava!

This was his energy surpassing all limits.

The next second, his heat vision, fueled by the sun's radiation, relentlessly assaulted Carol's eyes.

Not only that!

Heisenberg compressed the heat vision's intensity, making it thinner and deadlier.

Carol's Binary shield couldn't keep up with Heisenberg's output.

With the sun continuously powering him, the heat vision shattered her defenses.

Her shield faded, then vanished entirely…

"Ahhhhh!!!"

Carol's eyes vaporized, the heat vision piercing her brain, leaving two bloody holes in her proud face.

Yet, she clung to life!

Heisenberg retracted his heat vision, deploying a wide bio-force field, dragging Carol out of the sun to Mercury.

On solid ground, he tossed her twitching body aside.

Carol could see nothing.

Part of her brain was gone, making even thought difficult.

But she repeated…

"You're not doing this for Earth… you just want to kill me…"

"You actually killed me…"

"Why did I die…"

"I… lost, for the first time, the last time."

"Heisenberg!!!"

In her final moments, Carol shouted.

"Promise me, don't let the universe return to war, promise…!!!"

Boom!

Heisenberg punched her chest, silencing her. She went limp.

Heisenberg's gaze hardened, instantly scanning her brain. Confirming her death, he sighed.

"Tsk tsk, a proud American woman, a benevolent cosmic protector, hmph."

He strolled casually to her side, lifting her body with his right hand, floating her beside him.

"You thought Earth would be the universe's enemy, didn't you?

You thought you were saving Earth, or pitying it, didn't you?

You thought you were great, even in your final moment, calling for cosmic peace, didn't you?"

He smirked.

"But there's no true peace in the universe.

The weak are bullied, the strong conquer.

What made you think you alone could make the universe accept your ideas?"

Heisenberg soared toward Earth.

Soon, the radiant blue planet appeared before him.

Instead of landing, he veered toward the moon.

He stomped the lunar surface, kicking up moon dust.

Using his bio-force field, he fused the dust and rock into over eighty towering seats!

Each seat stood at least 200 meters tall, arranged in a straight line.

What were these seats for?

Heisenberg pointed, and Carol's body floated onto one.

She sat there, her hollow eyes seemingly still watching the approaching cosmic fleets.

Heisenberg spoke.

"You claimed reviving your cosmic friends was to protect Earth, your birthplace.

I'll grant your wish!

When you, a famous figure across the universe, die on Earth…

And when Thanos, the cosmic emperor, also dies on Earth…

And when you both are turned into warnings, alongside other fallen powerhouses, to deter invaders…!"

Heisenberg laughed heartily.

"Then Earth will truly have the peace you desired!"

He returned to Earth, heading straight for New York!

He released his super senses, sniffing out Thanos's body in an unknown military base.

Ignoring the terrified soldiers, he took Thanos's body to the moon, placing it beside Carol's.

Thanos and Carol sat silently, forever gazing at the infinite universe.

Heisenberg sat casually beside them, sighing deeply.

"You two…"

He shook his head at their corpses.

"Thanos brought chaos, believing killing would advance the universe.

Carol sought stability, delaying conflicts, burying anger and hatred for temporary peace.

But neither of you realized your actions couldn't achieve your true goals.

Killing half the universe?

The survivors would reproduce, grow, and refill the universe before you even died!

And you, Carol, your ideas were astonishing.

You traveled the cosmos, stopping wars between nations and races.

Ignoring your vast workload, you couldn't even save your own home.

You threatened combatants with your power, delaying hatred or redirecting it toward yourself!

Did neither of you realize your goals were easily achievable?

If you wanted the universe to follow your will and had the power…

Why not rule it, like I did on Earth-19999?

With total control, wouldn't your wishes be fulfilled?

How foolish."

He returned to Earth, hovering over Los Angeles.

Listening to the voices he cared about, he flew to the LAPD.

He crashed through the ceiling, landing in the interrogation room.

The girls he'd saved were crying, calling their parents.

Shocked by his entrance, the girls and officers were terrified.

Heisenberg smiled, waving at them, then gently patted the girls' heads.

"Keep talking to your families, then have them pick you up. Don't let yourselves be kidnapped again."

The girls nodded eagerly.

Satisfied, Heisenberg turned to the officers.

"If these girls are harmed, you'll all disappear. Understood?"

"Yes, sir!"

The officers saluted, truly afraid.

Nodding, Heisenberg flew away.

Meanwhile, at the Triskelion in Washington, the recently revived Nick Fury and Maria Hill received devastating news.

Satellite footage showed Heisenberg killing Carol and placing her body on the moon as a warning to aliens.

Seeing Carol's final moments, Nick Fury clenched his jaw.

"I need to see him!!!"
