Inheriting a Lost Bloodline, My First Task is to have heirs?!

Chapter 334 - Kayden meets the mystiques and the deity

After reassuring Kayden that I will be with him throughout the necessary meetings and rituals, he immediately pulled out all of his luggage from his storage and started looking for a new outfit which took a little over half an hour. His luggage may not be too big but it was packed full of items like clothes, makeup, hygeine items, perfume and even pleasure items for the bedroom that were most likely given by my father-in-law.

After finally choosing an outfit, he then hurriedly ran to the bathroom carrying his hygeine items and took a shower. He then reapplied his "battle" makeup as he called it and put on his chosen "battle" outfit.

I could only shake my head and smile at this guy. He's really just built differently overall compared to husband number one.

While he was in the bathroom, I already sent a telepathic message to my mother about Kayden meeting her, my father, Ioannis and the twins. I requested for it to be done in Ioannis' personal quarters so it would not be too formal and scary for the newbie husband.

I pulled Kayden out of our honeymoon suite, my hand holding his tight. We went down by one floor where the rooms for the official husbands are. We went and knocked on the door of the only occupied room in this floor.

After a few knocks, the door was opened by my mother from the inside. Kayden smiled then bowed respectfully in greeting then both of us walked in and went straight towards the drawing room area.

Only Ioannis was sitting in the drawing room and it seems that my parents and the twins are in the bedroom area. They must have planned to meet him one by one instead of appearing together in a big group. I could not help but smile in appreciation at how they are trying to keep Kayden at ease.

When Ioannis saw me and Kayden coming in, he stood up and invited us in like a gracious host. We all sat together and he offered some snacks that he prepared in advance for our visit.

I let them speak amongst themselves as I started eating and drinking on one side like everything that's happening has nothing to do with me. They simply talked about how each one have been and updates on the management of the Moonlight Inn as well as other general topics that men find interesting in this world.

When I noticed that Kayden is already feeling at ease, I excused myself to go to the bedroom to see my babies and parents. I stood up and walked out of the drawing room without giving Ioannis even a glance.

I am quite sure that Kayden has noticed the awkwardness between me and Ioannis. I simply left so that they can gossip with each other freely and Kayden can ask more personal questions.

I went to the next room and saw my babies playing on the bed while my parents are watching over them. I took this time to tell my father that after this meeting, I would bring Kayden to the room of beginnings for the ritual. He nodded in understanding and told me that he has prepared everything.

After waiting for about 10 minutes or so, I returned to the drawing room carrying the twins in my arms. The kids are holding on to my clothes and just looking around curiously. When we entered the drawing room, the kids were staring intently at Kayden who was a new face in the room.

Kayden was also staring at me and the two little kids I was carrying. He was speechless and he also looked at Ioannis with a questioning look. Ioannis smiled at Kayden and introduced the twins to him. I heard Kayden gasp in surprise. It was expected since we never told him that Ioannis gave birth to twins.

I looked at Kayden and finally told him that apart from having twins, Ioannis gave birth only after 6 months of pregnancy. I eased his worries and told him that though the time was shortened by several months, the babies were born full term. It was also my way of also giving him a hint that it would be the same for him in the future.

After a few more minutes, my parents entered the drawing room and sat across us. It was my turn to introduce them and the fact that my parents don't look in any way over 30 made Kayden's jaw drop in surprise.

He furiously apologized for not greeting my mother properly when she opened the door for us earlier. He looked at me accusingly as if I did not tell him on purpose. Well, I really did not tell him just to see this moment.

Kayden is more outspoken and social than Ioannis to start with so the conversations in the room were light and fun. After we have completed the greetings, we bid our goodbyes so me, Kayden and my father can go to the room of the beginnings.

I gave a routine peck on the lips for Ioannis then a peck on the cheek each for the twins. Husband number one looked stunned while the twins giggled in delight. With that, the three of us left drawing room to go to our next stop.

Once inside the room of beginnings, we used a significant amount of time as my father explained what kind of family is Kayden going to join as well as the main purpose of the room where we are in. As for the ritual of adding husband number two to the family register itself, it was very quick. My father simply asked him to touch the monolith in the middle of the room and once the red then golden light lit up then dimmed. A black ring appeared on Kayden's index finger and it's all done.

When we left the room of beginnings, I saw Kayden staring at me as if wanting to ask a question but is so confused on how to do so. I smiled at him and asked, "Something in your mind that you wanted to ask?"

Kayden nodded and replied, "That was a lot to take but from the start, I already knew that you were not like the others so it was easier to accept. I just did not ask questions before since I know you would tell me eventually when it was the right time."

He paused a bit then added a question, "Inside the room of beginnings, I saw 6 receptacles were currently occupied as well as huge ones in one corner of the room. Are they what I think they are?"

I looked at him with a raised eyebrow and a smirk showing amusement on my face. I responded honestly, "The huge ones at the back are mine. There is one for Ioannis too. Mine contains my seeds and essences for safekeeping. Ioannis' contains just his essences alone. Our essences are mixed together then used for making milk for the twins. As for the 6 filled receptacles, let's just say it was all for my mission. I have no relationship at all with the fathers of those children."

Kayden looked at me intensely for several seconds as if trying to gauge if I was trying to deceive him in any way. He then sighed and replied, "I suppose they arent't human, right? You can really put your children in those receptacles as an alternative method, huh?"

I responded seriously, "Yes, you can see it as an alternative. I only need their seeds and then I combine it with mine. Five of those are fairy babies and one is a blood demon baby. I only took their seeds and their essences to feed the children. Besides that, I don't see the need to meet them. I also gave them generous compensation for helping me with my mission."

Kayden nodded and no longer asked about anything else. I stole a kiss from his lips and started pulling him down the stairs. It is time to meet Laerad so we have to visit the world tree realm.

As we went down the grand staircase, Kayden was in awe since this is the first time he saw the whole place. He was unconscious when he came in so he was surprised that he was actually inside a palace.

While he was happily looking around, I whispered to him that he will have his own assigned room on the same floor as Ioannis in the near future. He nodded energetically and just kept looking around even after we exited the palace. This time, he was admiring the beautiful flowers in the gardens.

Once we reached the small plaza, I hugged him all of a sudden and he couldn't help but gasp. He looked at me and before he could complain, we teleported to our next destination.

When we reappeared at the core of the world tree realm, I saw Kayden looking around in awe and he was even sniffing greedily at the scent of the flower fields. I whispered to him that this was the home of a powerful deity that looks after the world tree and the realm connected to it where mystiques lived.

He looked at me and nodded seriously. I did not tell him everything yet but he would know about it soon.

We walked across the flower field and I pushed the door of the little hut then walked straight inside. I felt Kayden pulling my hand hard then he scolded me for being impolite for not knocking.

I chuckled at him but did not respond. I continued pulling him as we exited through another door.

Laerad chose to meet us at the gazebo surrounded by a serene lake. If you ask me though, I think that he just hates the fact that I brought another man in our home and did not want Kayden to stay too long inside our little hut.

As we crossed the walkway floating on top of the lake and neared the gazebo, I felt Kayden's hand turn cold and sweaty. I looked towards him and tightened my hold on his hand.

Once inside, Laerad invited us to sit and have some snacks. Much to Kayden's surprise, instead of sitting, I walked towards Laerad and leaned over to kiss him on the lips. I then kneeled down to place a kiss on his lower abdomen.

As all these things were happening, Kayden's mouth was agape. When I stood up and returned to Kayden's side, I started introducing Laerad to him as my husband, the personification of the world tree and also the father of my children.

Kayden just looked at me, then at Laerad and then down to Laerad's stomach which is not yet big enough to be noticeable. He then looked back at me, shook his head and heavily sighed. He ignored everything he just saw and started introducing himself politely as my second official "deified" husband.
