Inheriting a Lost Bloodline, My First Task is to have heirs?!

The source of the river was on top of a mountain but it was covered with a thick impenetrable fog. My teleportation spot was next to a lake at the bottom of a waterfall that came from the said mountain. Most likely, all this water came from a place created by another powerful spatial magic.

The water was really clear and fresh compared to normal water you can get in any human town. I looked into the bottom of the lake and everything under the water was beautiful and lively. I got a little creeped out for some reason. I suddenly remembered that it totally looked like those bodies of water back in earth that was rumored to have a guardian. Those places like to take the lives of a couple of visitors every year as an offering of some sort.

I touched the surface of the lake and placed a purification spell and some mana enchantments on the water. I absorbed about an olympic size swimming pool's worth of the water and sent it over to Laerad in a cute orb with instructions for him to figure out where it exactly came from. It was a good thing that the decrease in the amount of water in the lake was not noticeable at all.

I walked a bit around the lake and the river that stemed from it to pick some of the herbs and plants I saw growing near the shores. After I was contented with my haul, I teleported to another area that looked like wide vegetable farms on the map.

Lotus, guardian of the Sacred Lake

I was just staring at the passing clouds and the blue sky in front my hut. It was in a place hidden by the waterfall so even if I do nothing much the whole day, no one would notice. I almost fell from my seat when I felt a sudden surge of unknown mana enter the area I am guarding.

I immediately stopped daydreaming and looked around. On the other side of the lake, I saw a woman wearing a black and purple long dress. I couldn't see her face for some reason no matter how much I looked. What I am sure of is that she was not from anywhere here.

I walked out of my hut towards the shore on the opposite side of where she was standing. Even before I reached the place, I saw her crouch down and touch the surface of the lake. I saw something magical as the water was enveloped with a golden light for a few seconds. The light disappeared quickly as if it was just an illusion. Did she do something evil with the water?

Instead of calling her attention, I ran and touched the surface of the water as well to check if this was an attack to our water source. Upon coming in contact with the lake water, what I felt was a ton of mystique mana, which purified the water to perfections and imbued it with healing effects.

I was stunned with what I discovered and ended up staring at the lake in a daze for several seconds. When I looked up towards the other side of the lake, the woman was gone. I looked around but she was not anywhere around the shores of the lake either. I immediately transformed back to my fairy form and flew quickly towards the west side of the territory. My father king has to hear about this!

I reappeared right in the middle of a huge field. After looking around a bit, the first thing that came to my mind was how similar it looked to the farms in the Vacarro estate in Arista. Just like that place, not all fields here are being utilized. With just one look, I knew that they were only using one third of all the arable land which is really such a waste. I don't know if it was due to not having enough seeds or maybe farmers but I am quite sure that this much won't be able to sustain their whole population for too long.

I walked around and took a look at the plants they chose as their food crops and used magic to take a few seed samples from each unfamiliar plant I saw then sent it to Laerad again. I can only imagine my husband's face as I kept sending stuff to our shared storage. He must have been grumbling that I am overworking him again.

As payment for taking seeds from their plants, I touched the ground and used my earth mana to enrich the soil and all the plants that are planted on it. This should make the soil more fertile for a long period of time. I also left a few packets of common fruit and vegetable seeds that humans eat on a small table I found on one side of the farm. The farmers should understand that what they are and that these can be planted as food since they packets were labeled clearly with drawn pictures in them.

Daffodil, guardian of the Bountiful Fields

Contrary to the name of the area I am guarding, this place doesn't look bountiful at all. Everybody would have loved to see this place filled with plants that will serve as our nourishment but we don't have enough resources to do so.

Our ancestors were only able to save very few seeds from the plants that we used to eat back in the destroyed world tree realm. We are fine with eating human plants but the problem was we are too scared to go to the cities to procure them. Most of us are not able to stay in our human forms for prolonged periods of time, just 4 hours at most. The nearest human settlement from here is at least 10 hours away. It was a suicide mission to procure seeds.

I just finished tending to the plants and was resting under one of the roofed huts when I felt a strong surge of unknown mana nearby. I immediately sat up and scanned the fields for any unknown entity.

From a distance, near the main entrance to the fields, I saw a woman dressed in black and purple walking around the fields. She placed her hand on each of the plants as if taking something from them. I panicked! Those are the only plants we are depending on for our meals for the next couple of weeks.

I immediately flew towards the area, if only I did not use up my mana, I could have transformed into a human and I could run! As I reached halfway towards the field where she was, I saw her crouch down and touch the ground. Being someone that can use earth attribute mana, I felt a huge amount of earthly mana spreading across the entire field gradually.

I involuntary stopped flying as I was overwhelmed with the sheer amount of earthly mana the field was emitting. I even felt the utmost joy of the plants I tended to. As I looked at the area where the woman was, I saw her walk towards one side of the farm. She waved her hand and some small bags appeared and landed on the table. While I was distracted and trying to make a sense of what those pouches are, she disappeared! I couldn't see or feel her anywhere.

I immediately flew down towards the ground and started absorbing some of the earth attribute mana to replenish the amount I lost. I have to get to my father king as soon as possible to report what just happened in our fields.

After observing the four places I was most curious about, I started to feel impatient since it was clearly impossible that none of the fairies felt I was moving around their territory. I stopped hiding my mana fluctuations as soon as I entered their main barrier so where is their damn leader?!

I teleported once again but this time in a small plaza near what seems to be their market area or maybe a trading post should be a better term since it is quite small. I looked around and it was like a ghost town even if it is only the middle of the afternoon. It seemed that the stall owners pack up hurriedly and hid away in their homes, seeing that they left their wares and products scattered on the ground in panic.

I still went from one stall to another checking on the products that they were selling. I took a few interesting items that Laerad might like to bribe the guy to work a bit more. He liked seeing novel things and studying products created by other races so these should make him happy.

I was busy picking out things when I suddenly remembered that I do not have any idea how much these things are worth and what type of currency they accept as payment. I took about 17 things from different stalls so I might have to ask the leader later how much I needed to pay for them.

As I was pondering how I will pay for my little shopping spree, I heard a faint noise in one of the stalls near me. I teleported right in front of the store and peeked inside. I saw a small girl that looked like a 5-year old human child. I curiously looked at the little girl thinking, What is a grown ass man doing, pretending to be a little girl? Is this a fetish or something?

I called on to the "little girl" by saying, "Hi! I'm Luna. What's your name and why are you hiding in there?" (This is spoken in Mystique language)

The little girl looked up slowly, her face pale and with evident fear. Superb Acting! I wonder how would this man react if he found out that I can see his real form right from the start.
