In Naruto Trying to become a Saiyan from Kumogakure

Chapter 21: Ch 21. Raid x Evacuation x Decision

Uzumaki Kyo did not answer immediately. His gaze swept across the room, meeting the eyes of each elder present, before returning to Dodai. His lips pressed into a thin line as the weight of the decision bore down on him.

Finally, he broke the silence. "What does Kumogakure intend to do? What is the plan?"

Before Dodai could respond, a ninja burst into the room, urgency etched into every movement. "Clan leader! Ships have been sighted approaching from the east more than twenty of them!"

The gravity of the news settled over the room, leaving no doubt that time was running out.

Dodai took a step forward, his voice measured but firm. "According to the Raikage, Kumogakure will accept all children, non-ninjas of the Uzumaki Clan, and even civilians of the Land of Uzumaki. However, we cannot extend this offer to political leaders or ninjas unwilling to submit to Kumogakure and align against Konoha in the future."

Kyo's expression darkened as he digested the words. "We are reluctant," he admitted, his tone heavy.

Dodai continued "But as I said before, though the ninjutsu and the people will live on in Kumogakure, there will be no Uzumaki Clan to speak of."

Dodai's gaze hardened. "Most importantly, someone must hold back the other ninja villages. Sacrifices will be necessary to buy time for the evacuation."

Ay nodded in agreement, his deep voice cutting through the tense atmosphere. "Of course, that is only if you're willing. We are here to offer the Uzumaki Clan a chance not to force them."

Ryo Uzumaki stood, his expression resolute. "Give us fifteen minutes. I will inform the others of this news and return with our decision."

Dodai inclined his head. "Very well. But, Kyo-dono," he added in a tone as cold as steel, "ensure that there are no hostile individuals among the ninjas you select. Any treachery will cost them dearly."

The unspoken truth lingered in the air abandoned by the world, the Uzumaki Clan had little choice.

Dodai and others left the room, as they saw many ninjas coming in and the heated discussion, and realization dawning upon many ninjas as they learned about their imminent situation. The fact that there was no Senju anymore and that Konoha abandoned them, have not been fully understood, and many are unwilling to believe.

Soon Dodai and others were welcomed back inside.

Dodai spoke, "Kyo-dono have you made a decision?"

Uzumaki Kyo broke the silence with a firm voice. "Yes, I have decided. The younger ninjas and their families will leave with you, along with the heritage of the Uzumaki Clan. All civilians, including those not of Uzumaki descent but within the ninja village, will also evacuate. As for the ordinary people scattered across the Land of Uzumaki who are not part of the clan and not present here, I cannot control what happens to them. Gathering them would take too long."

Dodai nodded in understanding. "The allied forces will focus their attack on the ninja village. The rest of the Land of Uzumaki, where no Uzumaki Clan members reside, will not be a primary target unless the fighting spreads there."

Kyo turned to his people, his voice steady despite the weight of the moment. He instructed the willing ninjas to gather their families and ordered the elders to explain the situation to the civilians.

"Tell them the truth about our dire situation. If they are willing to join Kumogakure, let them gather here. If anyone chooses to stay or leave independently, let them decide freely."

Dodai's expression remained neutral but approving. He had no desire to bring back anyone unwilling or disloyal. "It's a reasonable decision," he remarked, his tone measured. Dodai thought "All evacuees will be screened thoroughly, including mind-reading, before they join the Raikage Clan or Kumogakure as either ninjas or civilians, so this just makes it easier."

Dodai then turned to Ay and the others. "Join the team outside and assist in gathering everyone. Once they're ready, lead them to the hidden port. By now, the rescue ships from Kumogakure should have arrived."

With the plan set, the urgency of their situation pressed forward, leaving little time for hesitation.

Kyo bit his thumb, drawing a drop of blood, and began forming a sequence of intricate hand seals, like a password. With a sharp exhale, he pressed his hands firmly to the ground. A burst of smoke appeared, and from it emerged a large, carefully sealed scroll.

He turned to one of the nearby ninjas. "Bring what I asked for," he instructed.

Facing Dodai, Kyo's voice was steady. "This is the true heritage of the Uzumaki Clan. It contains all our clan's ninjutsu, sealing techniques, and forbidden jutsu, passed down since the Warring States Period. It also includes the collected thoughts and knowledge of our ancestors. Additionally, there are masks with it also, I will put inside, tools required to summon the God of Death and perform certain forbidden jutsu."

Kyo rested his hand briefly on the scroll, as though acknowledging its significance. "This is our legacy. Please take care of it. I hope the Uzumaki Clan's sealing jutsu will continue to echo throughout the world, even if our clan's structure changes. But know this, most of the ninjas in our clan have learned at least some sealing techniques. Many of these, especially the more well-known ones like those used to restrain tailed beasts, will remain in the village. I fear they may fall into the hands of other villages."

Dodai nodded, his tone pragmatic. "That's acceptable. Let them take something. If the other villages believe we've taken everything, Kumogakure will undoubtedly become their target."

Kyo returned the nod, understanding the reasoning. While other clans during the Warring States Period were consumed with battles and developing destructive jutsu, the Uzumaki Clan, away from the constant conflicts, had focused their efforts on perfecting sealing techniques.

This heritage, entrusted to Dodai, was a reflection of their unique contributions to the shinobi world.
