In Naruto Trying to become a Saiyan from Kumogakure

Chapter 20: Ch 20. On the eve of the raid: Heated Discussion

Dodai and his companions Ay, Marui, Razor, and others were escorted through the streets of the Uzumaki village. The tall buildings with their intricate red spirals loomed around them, casting long shadows as the sun dipped lower in the sky. The air was thick with tension as villagers and ninjas gathered, their whispers spreading like wildfire at the sight of the foreign shinobi.

The group was led directly to the largest building at the center of the village, its imposing structure a testament to the Uzumaki Clan's strength and influence. A crowd of Uzumaki ninjas and leaders was already converging toward the entrance, their faces reflecting a mixture of curiosity and suspicion.

Dodai stopped at the base of the steps leading into the building, turning briefly to his team. "Ay, Marui, Razor," he said in a low voice, "you're with me. The rest of you, stay here and observe. Do not engage unless necessary."

The three nodded silently, their expressions tense but composed. Together, they followed the Uzumaki guards into the heart of the building, leaving the rest of the team outside under the watchful eyes of the Uzumaki ninjas.

Inside, led to a chamber that was huge yet simple, its walls adorned with complex sealing patterns. At the center of the room sat Uzumaki Kyo, his faded crimson hair and commanding presence making him unmistakable.

Four elders flanked him, seated on raised platforms. The elder to his immediate right bore the marks of age and experience, his demeanor nearly as imposing as Kyo's. The other three were younger, their eyes sharp with suspicion and barely concealed hostility.

Uzumaki Kyo studied the newcomers intently, his gaze lingering on the insignias of Kumogakure emblazoned on their forehead protectors. His voice, calm yet edged with steel, cut through the heavy silence.

"Ninjas from the Land of Lightning," Kyo began, "why have you come to the Land of Uzumaki? We, the allies of Konoha, have long stood as enemies of Kumogakure. So what do you mean by bringing us warnings and choices now?"

Dodai stepped forward, his posture respectful but firm. "Uzumaki Kyo-dono, we come not as enemies, but as messengers and negotiators. Your alliance with Konoha is well known, and it is precisely that alliance that has drawn the attention of multiple nations."

Kyo's eyes narrowed slightly, but he allowed Dodai to continue.

"In a few hours," Dodai said gravely, "the Land of Uzumaki will face a coordinated attack. Iwagakure and Kirigakure will advance from the east, while Sunagakure strikes from the south. Their aim is clear to destroy your clan and claim your legacy for themselves."

The room erupted in murmurs, the younger elders exchanging shocked glances. The elder to Kyo's right leaned forward, his brow furrowed in concern.

Kyo raised a hand, silencing the room. His expression remained unreadable as he fixed his gaze on Dodai. "And Kumogakure?" he asked pointedly. "Will you deny your role in this?"

Dodai met his gaze without flinching. "Kumogakure has its orders and goals. But my presence here is not to justify them it is to offer your clan a path to survival."

The tension in the room thickened, every word weighted with the enormity of the situation.

"And what is this path?" Kyo demanded, his voice steady but edged with anger.

Dodai took a deep breath. "Your heritage your sealing techniques, your knowledge. In exchange for surrendering these, I can guarantee the safety and evacuation of your younger generation and non-ninjas."

"Not all will survive the coming battle, as rescuing all of them from Kirigakure which is coming in full force and the others is simply impossible. But those that can evacuate will live on in Kumogakure as part of the Raikage clan, this choice can preserve the Uzumaki's blood and legacy for generations to come."

A heavy silence fell over the chamber. Kyo's expression hardened, and his hands gripped the edge of his seat as he processed the proposal.

"You ask us to give away the very soul of our clan," Kyo said finally, his voice barely above a whisper. "Do you understand what you are asking, Kumogakure shinobi?"

Dodai inclined his head. "I understand the weight of my words, Kyo-dono. But without this choice, the Uzumaki Clan may have no future at all."

The chamber remained deathly silent as Kyo and his elders considered the unthinkable.

The tension in the room was palpable as the Uzumaki elders processed Dodai's grim warning. But one of the younger elders, clearly agitated, stood up, his voice trembling with both anger and fear.

"Konoha will come to our rescue!" he declared defiantly. "Even Lord Mito, the Nine-Tails Jinchūriki, can easily handle this situation on her own. We don't need Kumogakure's help!"

Dodai remained silent, his expression unreadable as he shifted his gaze to Uzumaki Kyo and the first elder. Unlike the naive younger elder, both men wore grim expressions. Kyo's sharp eyes flickered with realization, while the first elder's lips pressed into a thin line, his silence speaking volumes.

It was clear they understood what was truly happening.

Ay, however, could not hold back. With a scoff, he stepped forward, his voice cutting through the room like a blade. "How naive can you be? Do you seriously think Konoha is coming? They already got everything they needed from you a female Jinchūriki they could control and your sealing techniques, which they've hoarded for their gain already!"

The younger elder's face twisted in disbelief, but Ay wasn't finished. "Four armies, led by the elite teams of every village, are stationed near Konoha's borders. They won't come. They can't come."

The elder shook his head stubbornly, unwilling to accept the grim reality. "Konoha has always been victorious against other villages! And with Mito-sama here, there's no way they'd abandon us!"

It was Razor who spoke next, his tone cold and direct. "The armies have been stationed for weeks. If Konoha intended to help you, why haven't they informed you about the looming threat? Why hasn't there been a single message or warning from them?"

The elder faltered, his confidence cracking, but he clung to the last shred of hope.

Dodai finally exhaled, stepping forward with a disappointed expression. His voice was calm but carried a heavy weight of truth. "Konoha will not come. Nor will the Senju. There are no Senju left in Konoha except for Tsunade, and Sarutobi Hiruzen will not risk his reign to aid the allies of a clan that could threaten his power, the current Konoha higher-ups are the happiest to see you die!"

The younger elder's face fell, his defiance giving way to disbelief. "Konoha is our ally! Our closest family! How can they abandon us? You're lying you're trying to destroy our alliance!"

But even as the elder shouted, his words rang hollow. Uzumaki Kyo and the first elder exchanged grim glances, their silence confirming what they had long suspected but dared not voice.

Dodai continued, his voice steady and unwavering. "Konoha was never your ally. The Senju were. But Konoha is no longer led by the Senju, it is led by those who used you. They took what they needed; your knowledge, your techniques, and a Jinchūriki for their own purposes. And now, when you need them most, they've turned their backs on you."

A heavy silence fell over the chamber. The younger elder's shoulders slumped, his earlier bravado replaced by a dawning realization.

Dodai turned his gaze back to Uzumaki Kyo, who now bore an expression of grim acceptance. The first elder, too, sat motionless, his face etched with sorrow.

"So," Dodai said, his voice sharp and deliberate. "What is your choice?"
