"No negative effects, thank god." Kuro sighed in relief. "Can't imagine what effect it would have if it does have one."
'Now for the skills,' Kuro thoughts as the skill screen show up with explanation.

Chakra required to activate: 5
The constant running fortified your legs. When this skill is activated, your movement speed will increase by 30%. During its activation, 1 chakra will be spent every minute.
[Skill: Tenacity Lv. 1]
Passive skill.
Chakra required to activate: None.
You possess untiring tenacity. When your stamina drops below 30%, this skill will automatically activate and reduce all damage received by 50%.
[Skill: Shadow Possession]
Active skill.
Chakra required to activate: 15.
Manipulate your shadow and merge it with another shadow. Once you merge your shadow with a target's, the target cannot move on their own other than to talk. The only movements they are able to make are those that the user makes. The greater the movement, the more chakra the skill uses. At higher proficiency, no hand sign is required to keep the technique active.

"Dash and tenacity are easily understandable. They have levels and can be leveled up. The Shadow Possession Jutsu on the other hand does not have a level. However, I did see that there is a '33%' next to the skill in the main screen. Does it mean my proficiency in the technique?" Kuro thought to himself as he finished checking out the skills.
He did not bother trying to check out that unknown skill since the system will not give him a single clue.
He also decided to save up the stat points.
"I will use it after I manage to develop this body to its fullest potential or when faced with danger."
'Inventory' Kuro thought and a screen with multiple small squares showed up. Inside the inventory, he saw a katana that seems to be his reward for becoming a player.
He did not see the random box that he got as a reward from the daily quest. Looking down, he saw the box on the floor by his legs.
"That is an inconvenience. System, make sure that all the random boxes are stored inside the Inventory next time when I receive them."
Tti-ring.

Kuro saw that the sky had gotten dark outside. He unfolded his futon and went to sleep. Tomorrow, he will finally learn about chakra and techniques to increase his chakra reserve naturally.

The early cry of the crows woke Kuro from his dreams. He sat up and scratched his head, looking outside to see the crack of dawn.
The Hokage faces are as magnificent as they are creepy. Only a masochist would come up with the idea of plastering their face on the side of a cliff for all to see first thing in the morning.
Shaking his head, Kuro put his futon away and did his morning routine including the daily exercises. Once finished, he made his way toward the academy.
Once he was at the academy gate, Kuro was huffing from his run.

The refreshing feeling washed over him again. With an extended stride, Kuro made his way inside the academy but stopped in his tracks.
"Where was my classroom again? That maniac Kurenai doesn't even bother telling me." Kuro scratched his head and made his way toward the staff room following the sign.
As Kuro made his way toward the staff room, the academy halls were bustling with the noise of other students and teachers.
He reached the staff room door, giving it a brief knock before entering. Inside, the figures of various instructors greeted him.
"Excuse me. The name is Kuro Nara and I wanted to know where my classroom is." Kuro stated why he was in the staff room before any BS misunderstanding happened like in some wuxia novels read from his previous world.
An instructor who was flipping through papers stopped and looked toward Kuro.
"Didn't Kurenai suppose to give you that information yesterday?" The instructor stated.
"She didn't tell me anything. She asked why I didn't attend the opening ceremony and dipped once she got the information." I decided to hide the part where I was sent to the hospital. The less people that know, the better.
"Well, I only told her to get that information. My fault." The instructor took a booklet from the side and started flipping through it. "Here it is. Kuro Nara, you are in classroom 1A down on the first floor."
"Thanks, sensei. See ya." Kuro waved his hand and made his way toward his classroom.
He reaches the classroom and looks at the classroom sign that shows 1A.
Kuro opened the classroom door and made his way in. The moment Kuro stepped into the classroom, a notification popped up in the corner of his vision.
Kuro looked around the classroom and chose the protagonist seat at the back of the classroom closest to the window.
Once he sat down, he pulled up the notification.
[You have one unread message.]
'Open.'

'Wow. That's a lot of rewards for just stepping into a classroom.' Kuro thought as he closed the system screen. 'I wonder when I will get a minimap. I will look at the dungeon key later.'
Looking around the classroom, Kuro doesn't see any noteworthy kids from the canon.
SLAM!
Just then, the classroom door slammed open and Kurenai stepped in with an annoyed look on her face.
She looks around the classroom and clicks her tongue when she sees Kuro's face.
TSK!
Kuro felt happy when he saw her.
'Now that we are classmates, many of my revenge plans open up.' Kuro couldn't help but smirk.
Kurenai, on the other hand, had already noticed Kuro's smirk. She ignores him, as if avoiding looking at a pervert.
Kuro's smirk widened as Kurenai deliberately avoided his gaze.
Kurenai, still pretending he wasn't there, took a seat near the front. She seemed to settle into her own world.
Kuro doesn't try doing anything yet. After all, revenge was a dish best served cold.
