🕳️ Chapter 15: Nothing Left
The threads wrapped around my hand transformed once again—this time, into a blade.
With a single slash, I tore open a rift.
I rushed through.
But I was too late.
This world…
There was nothing left.
Ash. Dust. Brown-gray air.
Scattered bones littered the ground.
And in the center… stood a black silhouette, motionless, amidst the ruins.
> "Eon…?"
I approached the figure.
It didn't move.
No breath. No pulse.
But faint echoes of the boy's image flickered around the shell, dancing like fractured memories.
> "…Uncle…?"
His voice—small, distant.
Without hesitation, I struck the dark shell.
The black husk cracked apart…
Inside, curled up—was him.
He'd made it inside the body.
But at what cost?
> "What… happened here?!"
I stared into Eon's dull, glowing eyes.
He didn't answer.
Only looked.
> "Say something! What happened, damn it?!"
Finally… he spoke.
His words cut deeper than any blade.
> "An explosion… Everything was erased.
The world... it was destroyed."
> "…What…?"
I scanned the dimension.
No signals.
No energy.
No life.
Nothing but dust and micro-organisms barely hanging on.
> "What the hell happened here?!"
Before I could think, I slashed the air once more.
The rift opened.
I grabbed the boy and pulled him back—back home.
> Before the silence swallowed us too.
