He walked through a space of pure nothingness, heading toward a blinding light.

"This place... there's no one left?"

"Dr. Alrin... It's been a while, hasn't it?"

A tentacle shot toward him.

With a calm motion, he blocked it using only his arm.

"Finally, we meet again, little brother."

Blades flew from the knife in his hand, slicing through the tentacles as if cleansing them from existence.

"Not bad... but how about this?"

Tentacles ripped fragments from nearby ruined buildings and hurled them at Dr. Alrin.

"...Fine then."

His knife vanished, morphing into glowing wires that wrapped tightly around his arms.

"W-What?!"

With a grunt, he grabbed one of the crumbling towers—

—and hurled it directly at the creature.

BOOM!!!

"That's more like it, you bastard."

The monster fled through a glitching portal.

In the silence that followed, a white figure appeared and looked at him.

"So... what now?"

"I'm not sure. Maybe it's time to go see that kid—Kael."

A flickering console appeared midair.

"What the hell is this?!"

His eyes widened.

"...Damn it. That brat—Eon!"
