Chapter 6: 6-Well Done!
---
"Level 3? How is that possible! He reached level 3 in just three days?!"
"If I remember correctly, this was his first time entering an instance, right?"
"Leveling up to 3 on his first instance run—did he really solo the Goblin King?!"
"Are you blind? Didn't you just see this guy kick a silver-tier guardian flying?"
"This… Is this really a defensive ability awakener? How come his damage output feels higher than a burst-damage profession?"
"Ability awakeners do have an edge early on. Maybe his ability isn't just defensive."
"This guy's the real deal. At level 3, he sent a silver-tier powerhouse above level 40 flying with one kick.
That's not just a gap—it's a chasm. Maybe this is what a true genius looks like."
Where there's admiration, there's also disparagement.
"Stop hyping him up. If that golden-tier powerhouse hadn't shown up, this guy would probably be a pile of mush by now."
"Yeah, if he hadn't ambushed the silver-tier guardian, how could he have even scratched him?"
"Level 3 strength beating a silver-tier opponent is already insane. Stop being so salty."
"Exactly! I remember these were the same people mocking him earlier. If they hadn't, none of this would've happened."
…
Hearing the chatter around him, Su Mo finally snapped out of his daze.
Though one question still lingered in his mind:
With someone like this around, who the heck had been stealing his takeout all this time?!
This was a serious matter!
Thinking this, Su Mo cast a slightly suspicious glance at the old security guard.
Old Man Wang frowned slightly, feeling something off about the way this kid was looking at him.
But he shook it off, smiling as he said, "Pretty cool, huh? No need to be jealous, though. With your talent and strength, it won't be long before you're just like me."
Su Mo glanced at Old Man Wang's shiny, bald head—still faintly glowing with golden light—and seemed to picture something. He quickly shook his head.
"I get the feeling you're thinking something rude. But I'm in a good mood today, so I'll let it slide and not hold it against you.
Alright, head to your teacher's office and wait there. I'll come find you later."
Su Mo looked at Old Man Wang, thought for a moment, nodded, and started walking out of the trial hall.
Sure, he wasn't afraid of death—heck, he couldn't even die—but if it came to a real fight, he'd probably just be a punching bag.
The gap in strength was undeniable. When others moved, he couldn't even see them—how was he supposed to fight that?
*Ahem, ahem, ahem.* "Old Man Wang, you've got quite the temper today. Coming in here and beating up one of my top hall guardians? You're making my job really tough!"
Following the voice, an elderly man in his late eighties, leaning on a cane, slowly approached the trial hall.
As he passed by Su Mo, he gave him a meaningful glance but said nothing, continuing straight toward Old Man Wang.
Su Mo didn't linger and walked off. Among his peers, he was practically invincible—he couldn't even imagine anyone his age being stronger than him now.
Three days after awakening, he was level 3 with a strength stat of 65.
Even someone with a god-tier hidden profession probably couldn't match him.
But compared to the older generation of professionals, there was still a gap. His strength stat just wasn't enough yet.
If he could get it to 1,000—or even 10,000—no matter where you came from, he'd smash you with one punch!
Lost in thought, Su Mo soon arrived at Teacher Wang's office door.
Just as he raised his hand to knock, the door was flung open with force.
Teacher Wang stood there, silver-white energy swirling around him, looking ready to pick a fight with someone.
But when he saw Su Mo, he froze.
Glancing around to make sure no one else was nearby, he yanked Su Mo into the office.
The door slammed shut with a **[bang]**.
Teacher Wang sat in his chair, expressionless, staring at Su Mo. "Alright, spill it. What happened?!"
Su Mo blinked, confused. "Uh, I don't know. The security guard, Old Man Wang, told me to come here and wait for him. I have no idea what's going on!"
**[Bang!]**
Teacher Wang slammed the desk. "You don't know what's going on?! You went into the trial realm alone! Do you have any idea how dangerous that was?!
Did you forget everything from the textbooks? Or did you forget the school's disgrace—that senior who went into the Goblin instance solo and got… well, you know, by the goblins?!"
Su Mo scratched his head, a bit sheepish. "I didn't think that much about it at the time…"
"Didn't think that much?! Then what were you thinking?! I told you to find a team, not to go charging into an instance alone!
You're lucky you're fine. But I heard you got into a fight with other students after coming out—what's that about?!"
"Oh, well, I said I defeated the Goblin King, but they didn't believe me.
Then I showed them the Goblin King's rewards, and they still didn't believe me.
After that, someone ambushed me, so I fought back. It was totally self-defense!"
Teacher Wang stood up, pointing at Su Mo's nose, spit flying as he scolded,
"You got into a fight over something like that?!
Do you know the college entrance exams are coming up—wait, what did you just say?
You defeated the Goblin King?!"
Su Mo nodded, then pulled out the rewards from defeating the Goblin King, opening their info for Teacher Wang to see.
Teacher Wang abruptly pulled back the finger pointing at Su Mo's nose, then slammed the desk again, roaring,
"Well done! People like that deserve a beating! Sneak-attacking you? Shameless!
Tell me which class they're from—I'll go chew out their homeroom teacher too!"
While Su Mo was still processing, Teacher Wang stepped behind him, pulled out a chair, and gently helped him sit down.
"Quick, tell your teacher—how did you take down the Goblin King?"
As he spoke, Teacher Wang kindly poured Su Mo a cup of tea and handed it to him.
His face showed no pretense—his usually furrowed brows smoothed out, and he grinned like a blooming chrysanthemum.
"Uh, I just punched it a few times and it died. What's there to say?"
"You!"
Teacher Wang felt like Su Mo was brushing him off and nearly stood to slam the desk again, but he paused, forcing a smile. "Really just a few punches?"
Su Mo nodded. "Yeah, really just a few punches!"
"A few punches to kill the Goblin King? Then how high is your strength stat now?"
Su Mo hesitated, then figured it'd come up during the college entrance exams anyway. "Strength stat's at 65."
"65 POINTS?!"
Teacher Wang shot up from his chair, his voice trembling with disbelief.
