HxH : Pokemon Master

Chapter 145: Tyranitar Shakes the World!

At this moment, the hearts of countless people across the six continents were tightly clenched, their eyes fixed unblinkingly on every movement in the scene.

Especially those Nen Users who could see the images clearly—they were sweating bullets for Akira.

Only high-ranking officials from various factions had the privilege to attend the previous [New Five Strongest Nen users] meeting, with only a handful of Nen Users present.

Thus, not every Nen User was fully aware of Akira true strength.

Previously, they could only judge Akira by his reputation and a few public battles at Heavens Arena. Though his titles were illustrious—both [The Strongest Floor Master of Heavens Arena] and [The Strongest in the World]—those who truly understood his power were still few.

Aura couldn't be sensed through a screen.

In their eyes at this moment, Jed colossal Rasetsu appeared far more terrifying!

Only a small fraction of people knew this was merely the last desperate struggle of a dying man.

"Is it finally coming?" Netero piercing eyes stared straight at the massive Rasetsu, a trace of nostalgia surfacing in his gaze.

It was as if he was seeing the scene from decades ago when he had struck Jed down.

Countless 'On' converged into Rasetsu palm, its enormous body generating howling gusts of eerie wind that violently swept outward.

Just this wind alone made it unbearable for the spectators.

Even Leorio was blown straight into a nearby wall.

"Ouch, ouch, ouch." Leorio rubbed the back of his head.

The sudden impact had knocked his head, twisting his rugged face into a grimace.

What exactly had he come here for?

Wasn't he just supposed to be Zushi personal doctor?

Why had he been knocked unconscious and dumped into a sewer and now had to endure this "wind and rain"?

Gon, on the other hand, chose to lie flat on the ground to minimize the wind effect.

Enduring the biting gusts, he shouted "Leorio, lying down helps!"

Hearing this, Leorio quickly imitated Gon, pressing himself against the ground, immediately feeling much lighter.

Among them, Hisoka appeared the most composed.

As the strongest in the group, his method of resisting the wind was far more elegant. With a casual flick of his wrist, four playing cards shot toward two pillars on either side.

Imbued with dense Aura, the cards sliced through metal like tofu, effortlessly embedding themselves into the stone columns. Four cards in total—one each at the top-left, bottom-left, top-right, and bottom-right.

Nen Ability—Bungee Gum!

Combined with Hisoka sticky aura, the four cards were interconnected by strands of Aura.

[A/N : Don't let this distract you from the fact that bungee gum has the properties of rubber and gum]

A pinkish barrier of aura formed before him, blocking the majority of the wind force.

"Just the pressure alone can create such powerful winds?" Hisoka narrowed his already-slender eyes in surprise.

Looking at his aura barrier, he couldn't help but click his tongue. The sticky barrier resembled a balloon, constantly deforming under the gale.

Especially the center, which was being violently pushed inward.

Had the aura elasticity not been sufficient, the barrier formed by those four cards alone wouldn't have held.

Akira glanced at the group in the corner but said nothing, focusing most of his attention on Jed before him.

He was thinking which Pokemon to send out.

After some thought, Akira decided to go with Tyranitar!

Tyranitar was still at S rank, but not far from reaching S+ rank. Defeating Jed would push it over that threshold.

This was also an opportunity for Akira to verify his hypothesis.

When Gengar reached a certain power level, it unlocked its Mega Evolution form.

Since Tyranitar also possessed a Mega Evolution form, it was likely that achieving a similar level of strength would enable it to Mega Evolve as well.

Though reaching S+ rank might not guarantee it—perhaps an even higher level would be required for Mega Evolution.

Once Tyranitar dealt with Jed, the residual 'On' could be absorbed by Mega Gengar.

Not a single drop would go to waste, maximizing its utility.

Both Akira and Jed naturally noticed the presence of Gon and the others but couldn't be bothered to pay them any attention.

Hopefully, they wouldn't be overwhelmed by the aftermath of the battle.

Jed was like a pilot inside a giant mecha, his body encased within the colossal form of Rasetsu.

Strangely, despite Jed unleashing [Hyakkijuon Rasetsu], the commotion was terrifying, yet the expected storm of attacks never came.

Instead, an eerie stillness settled over the battlefield.

Neither Akira nor Jed made a move, they simply stood in place, motionless.

If not for the howling winds still kicking up dust, one might have thought the scene had frozen.

Only those present—and a few others with keen perception—understood: they were gathering their power.

At their level, even the slightest movement could cause massive destruction. A battle of this caliber wasn't something to be taken lightly, Delivering a full-powered strike required time to build momentum.

The spectators couldn't sense it, but Gon and the others clearly felt the shift in the atmosphere around them.

Initially, it was just the eerie winds affecting them, but now the oppressive auras from both sides weighed heavier.

Thick tendrils of 'On', as massive as pythons, coiled around Rasetsu, visibly increasing in number.

Jed knew the gap between them and wasn't banking on a future beyond this.

This was his final move! This strike would decide the outcome!

Thus, he needed a bit more time to gather his strength.

Yet while the Rasetsu was charging up, Akira also making his own preparations!

Tyranitar took a deep breath, focusing its mind, its crimson eyes growing even sharper.

A glint of light flashed across its dark green steel armor. Then, several streams of pure white Aura began swirling around its body.

Normal-type skill—Focus Energy!

[Focus Energy]: The user takes a deep breath and focuses so that its future attacks have a heightened chance of landing critical hits.

But this was only the beginning!

Next, Tyranitar legs began moving, stomping rhythmically, each heavy step resonating like a drumbeat.

The dull thuds of its footsteps seemed to strike directly at the hearts of onlookers, involuntarily tightening their chests and drawing cold sweat to their brows.

Outwardly, it appeared as simple footwork—like a warm-up before a sprint.

But Jed could sense it: the aura of this steel behemoth was steadily rising!

Tyranitar was now using the signature move of Dragon-type Pokemon!

The most crucial skill for Dragon-types—Dragon Dance!

Yet even non-Dragon-type Tyranitar could learn Dragon Dance, while a certain Dragon-type Pokemon couldn't.

Doesn't that seem a bit unfair?

That would be—Garchomp!

Despite having the Dragon typing, it couldn't use this signature move Dragon Dance, only having Swords Dance as a consolation.

Perhaps in the future, a Garchomp could be bred to pair with Tyranitar.

With more Pokemon later, maybe even a Sandstorm Team could be formed?

Currently, there aren't many suitable candidates for a Sandstorm Team.

Just Tyranitar as the weather setter and Ferrothorn for defensive pivoting.

Blissey could also fit in as a special wall, clearing status and healing.

Sensing Jed reaction, Akira quickly snapped out of his thoughts, narrowing his eyes to observe.

In the brief moment Akira had been thinking, Jed had already finished charging—this was the strongest state he could unleash!

Even if given more time, he wouldn't dare delay further.

During this period, the aura of that Nen beast covered in dark green steel had grown increasingly potent. Continuing like this would only put him at a disadvantage.

Rasetsu two pale, clawed hands gathered before him, their massive size sending chills down the spine.

The 'On' swirling around him converged between its hands like swallows returning to their nest.

Within moments, what started as a wisp of resentment had transformed into an enormous orb of malice.

If its initial size resembled a small grenade, it now looked like a massive missile!

This orb of condensed 'On' pulsed between Rasetsu hands like a dark blue-black heart.

And this wasn't even Jed full power!

Previously, to conserve 'On', he'd fired individual orbs—but not this time.

Because this was his final move.

There was no need to hold back, he poured every ounce of 'On' into this attack.

"TAKE THIS, AKIRA!" Jed roar grew hoarser, his voice filled with deathly resolve.

These would be his last words.

No miracle of resurrection awaited him this time—he'd traded his soul to the devil for this chance.

What appeared wasn't just a massive orb of 'On'! But an incredibly thick violet-black beam!

The enormous orb morphed in Rasetsu grasp.

Its spherical form rapidly elongated into a pillar before being violently unleashed!

Jed prowess was remarkable—in life, he'd been just slightly weaker than the young Chairman Netero. The 'On' from his resurrection made him even stronger than before, making this full-power attack truly terrifying.

This was the largest beam Akira had ever witnessed!

The violet-black beam surged toward him like an unstoppable dragon.

This was likely the largest beam any human could possibly produce.

As one of humanity strongest, Jed power spoke for itself. Though unlike conventional Aura systems, his power stemmed from "On/Malice."

However, from his attack style, it was clear that he resembled the Emission type in the Nen system, excelling at long-range attacks using 'On' bullets.

The combination of multiple factors resulted in what could be called humanity largest beam attack.

Jed named it—Hyakusatsu!

A perfect contrast to Netero's "Zero Style" within [Hyakushiki Kannon]!

Faced with an attack that horrified countless people, Akira expression remained largely unchanged, standing still with his arms crossed. Because before him stood a figure as solid as an iron tower, its heavy presence radiating an overwhelming sense of security.

"ROAR!!!"

Tyranitar stomped the ground violently, letting out a thunderous roar from its ferocious maw.

Under the force of this deafening cry, the 'On' composing "Hyakusatsu" momentarily faltered, shrinking in size and weakening in power.

Dark-type move—Snarl!

After multiple Dragon Dances, Tyranitar entire body now radiated a dazzling glow.

Its aura had multiplied several times over!

One second it stood in place—the next, it vanished from Akira sight. Only scattered grains of sand remained on the ground.

Almost instantaneously, Tyranitar reappeared right before the "Hyakusatsu" beam.

Originally, Tyranitar wasn't known for speed.

But its overwhelming power, combined with Dragon Dance speed-boosting effect, allowed it to move with near-teleportation speed in a single step.

Now standing before "Hyakusatsu" Tyranitar face twisted into a savage snarl, resembling a furious beast.

Its body was coated in swirling yellow sand, while dark crimson energy surged from its form.

In the blink of an eye, a terrifying image formed in the air above—a demonic visage!

Normal-type move—Scary Face!

The illusory giant face hovered in the sky, causing every Nen User who saw it to freeze, their pupils contracting in instinctive fear.

This was the effect of Scary Face!

It instilled dread in those who witnessed it, drastically slowing their movements.

Even Jed was visibly affected.

Though his hands continued unleashing an endless stream of "Hyakusatsu," the flow of 'On' briefly faltered under the intimidation, causing the attack to momentarily weaken.

Focus Energy, Dragon Dance, Snarl, Scary Face—these were merely the prelude.

The real spectacle was yet to come!

This battle would etch Tyranitar image deep into the minds of every Nen User who witnessed it.

They would come to understand why the title [Tyrant of the Desert] was no empty boast!

Dark Aura coalesced around Tyranitar claws, the energy swirling darker than even the 'On' itself.

With a simultaneous swing of both arms, its claws—hardened beyond steel—ripped through "Hyakusatsu" with brutal force!

Faced with the terrifying beam, Tyranitar neither dodged nor defended.

It attacked head-on!

Empowered by Dark Aura, its claws tore through the colossal "Hyakusatsu" as if it were nothing.

Pokemon beams might not match "Hyakusatsu" in scale, but their concentrated power far surpassed it.

Though "Hyakusatsu" was vast, its energy was thinly dispersed, allowing Tyranitar to focus its strength and tear through it with sheer force.

Dark-type move—Lash out!

At the same time, Tyranitar's massive steel-plated maw became shrouded in dark Aura.

Its already terrifying visage was now tinged with black, paired with crimson eyes, making it resemble an Ogre crawling straight out of hell!

That hardened maw could crush anything—in its eyes, nothing was beyond destruction.

Dark-type move—Crunch!

Suddenly, sharp stone blades formed around Tyranitar body, rapidly rotating counterclockwise around it.

Rock-type move—Stone Edge!

The real world wasn't a game.

At Tyranitar level of power, it could already unleash multiple high-powered moves simultaneously.

Tyranitar display was far more terrifying than Rasetsu!

In fact, compared to the so-called "Hyakkijuon Rasetsu" Tyranitar current appearance was far more deserving of the title!

[A/N : Hyakkijuon Rasetsu means The Grudge of One-Hundred Demons: Rakshasa]

Facing Jed, Akira showed him the utmost respect.

Though it wasn't necessary to use so many moves, he did so anyway.

Since Jed was giving his all, Akira would respond in kind!
