Otto had meticulously planned for every eventuality, except he didn't anticipate that the newly born Herrscher would be Xia Chen himself.

This surprise likely wasn't just unforeseen by Otto but almost everyone else too.

A Herrscher is typically formed from accumulated hatred, yet Xia Chen did not seem like someone filled with resentment.

Raiden Mei and Bronya pulled Kiana closer, watching Xia Chen cautiously.

Raiden Mei spoke up, "Xia Chen, can you explain what exactly happened during the Coral Island Honkai?"

"It wasn't naturally occurring, correct?"

Involuntarily, Xia Chen glanced at Raiden Mei, sensing a familiarity akin to his own nature.

Unfortunately, it is rare for a single Honkai event to produce three Herrschers, so Raiden Mei had not fully awakened her powers.

He spoke slowly, "Your guesses are already very close to the truth. Forcing me to reveal it would only hurt our relationship."

"But you remain indifferent," Raiden Mei questioned him.

Xia Chen sighed deeply.

"Yes, I am indeed indifferent."

How could he be unaware of these innocent lives? He fully understood that conducting experiments with human lives was utterly deranged.

In a civilized society, such actions would forever stain its history. However, humanity needed this experiment.

The Coral Island experiment aimed to gradually control and scale civilization while identifying patterns behind Honkai occurrences. Even without Schicksal, humans might have eventually conceived this idea on their own.

Schicksal merely imposed a more forceful approach, consolidating everyone's efforts.

However, the greatest issue with this experiment was the ethical boundary it breached.

Only Schicksal could bear such responsibility. Xia Chen even speculated that later, when Otto stepped down and Theresa transformed Schicksal into a charitable organization, relinquishing control over the world, it was due to her guilt from this experiment, leading her to let go of power.

Ultimately, Xia Chen sent the Coral Island collapse data to Schicksal as agreed. Naturally, following their pact, he also provided a copy to Raven.

He couldn't predict how Schicksal would proceed based on this information. After all, according to human settlement patterns, large urban centers were paramount. It remained unclear whether Schicksal could determine a development limit for cities based on these findings.

Kiana, Raiden Mei, and Bronya departed as well, heading towards Anti-Entropy.
