[January 1, 2016 - A large-scale Honkai Event occurred on Coral Island with a concentration exceeding 2190hw.

The source of the Honkai remains unidentified; initial investigations rule out human involvement.

Casualty counts and damages are still being assessed.

Experimental data related to the Galactic Ladder has been preserved intact.]

The Honkai on Coral Island continued unabated.

After Kiana reunited with her teammates, their first priority was to search for survivors—a Valkyrie's duty.

However, despairingly, it seemed as if the entire city had fallen into an abyss, with hardly any trace of survivors.

Instead, Bronya made another discovery.

"Kiana, how much do you know about the Thousand Fists Society and Galactic Ladder?"

"Not at all; I've never even heard of them. But..."

Kiana shared with Bronya that she and Fu Hua had visited the Thousand Fists Society earlier.

Yet due to the sudden onset of Honkai, Kiana hadn't given it much thought.

Bronya calmly stated, "Kiana, take us to where the Thousand Fists Society is located."

Taken aback, Kiana nodded. "Okay."

Quickly, the trio arrived at the site of the Thousand Fists Society.

What was once a battleground for the society had now become territory overrun by Honkai Beasts and Zombies. Witnessing the rapid transformation of the Thousand Fists Society...

Unlike Fu Hua's unwavering resolve, Kiana had been whisked away before she could even process what was happening.

But now...

"Kiana, there's no time for guilt right now. You and Big Sister Mei give Bronya some space; she's searching for something."

After the Honkai incident on Coral Island, Bronya sensed that something unusual was going on here—specifically, she finally realized what made this place so peculiar.

Coral Island, anchored by the Galactic Ladder, boasted the most advanced scientific research facilities. Yet, it seemed completely unprepared to handle Honkai events, leaving her utterly baffled.

Unless...this was intentional on Schicksal's part.

Bronya quickly arrived at this conclusion. Both the Galactic Ladder, controlling technology, and the Thousand Fists Society, overseeing the community, might possess data models related to Honkai and human civilization.

Her suspicion proved accurate.

Soon, guided by Bronya, the trio discovered a complex mathematical model.

"What is this?" Kiana asked curiously.

"Observations on the function of Honkai's tipping point for human civilization," Bronya explained matter-of-factly. "The entire Coral Island serves as a large-scale experimental field for Honkai."

"Experimental field?"

Raiden Mei exchanged glances with Kiana.

Bronya shared her hypothesis aloud:

"The Galactic Ladder project was highly regarded; it couldn't have lacked contingency plans for a Honkai outbreak. Yet now..." She paused before continuing, "Let's go. We need to find Teacher Xia Chen; he might know more."

Kiana nodded, "Alright."

With skepticism lingering in their minds, the trio set out to locate Xia Chen.

However, upon leaving the Thousand Fists Society, they were startled to discover that both Zombies and Honkai Beasts were moving uniformly towards a single direction.

Remarkably, even when encountering Kiana and her companions, the Honkai Beasts showed no reaction whatsoever.

Suddenly, a voice echoed in Kiana's mind:

"Kiana, consume him.

"A Herrscher has emerged here. By devouring him, you can obtain extraordinary power."

Sirin's persuasive tone instinctively triggered Kiana's resistance.

However, Sirin continued, "Would you truly allow another Herrscher to emerge here? Kiana, not everyone possesses your strong willpower. The calamity brought by a Herrscher needs no further explanation."

Kiana wavered.

"Mei, Bronya, let's retrieve the Herrscher," she said after a momentary pause. "Everyone, be cautious."

Raiden Mei responded calmly, "It is our duty as Valkyries; we would have done it regardless of your words. Don't worry, Kiana."

"This isn't just about you alone."

During this Major Honkai Eruption, the Herrscher Core within her also stirred restlessly.

Large-scale Honkai events equally attract Herrscher Cores.

Soon, they witnessed a chilling sight:

Xia Chen stood at the location with the highest concentration of Honkai Energy on Coral Island, surrounded by numerous Honkai Beasts kneeling before him like devout followers, offering their cores as sacrifices. Using his control over wind, Xia Chen manipulated these cores and consumed them one by one.

"That's..." Kiana's eyes widened slightly, feeling inexplicably famished.

"Kiana!" Raiden Mei and Bronya exclaimed involuntarily.

They watched as Kiana, standing before them, unleashed her spatial powers and charged towards Xia Chen.

She craved the Honkai Energy within him intensely.

As if instinct overpowered reason, she attacked without hesitation.

Coincidentally, Xia Chen also made his move at that moment.

His eyes met Kiana's with a hint of contemplation, sensing the power of the Herrscher Core within her.

Xia Chen manipulated the fluid around her, attempting to trap Kiana. However, she instantly activated her combat instincts and evaded using her Authority.

Wind can confine physical matter but not entities from the void.

The mastery Kiana displayed over her Authority seemed even greater than Sirin's during the simulation scenario.

All this progress was thanks to Xia Chen's teachings in Nagazora City.

Holding the Lance of Antiquity, she aimed it at Xia Chen.

More precisely, at something behind Xia Chen.

A Virtual Being God's Remains descended from the sky.

Yet, no one could see this menacing creature.

It appeared like an alternate form of 'existence,' binding countless threads onto Xia Chen.

Xia Chen had been designated as the Herrscher for this Honkai event. As if responding to his desires, all Honkai Beasts were driven towards him, serving as nourishment.

However, Xia Chen was not controlled by the Will of Honkai; in fact, he too noticed the presence of the Virtual Being God's Remains entangling Kiana.

Both were being manipulated by the threads of fate.

In their ears, both received a similar voice:

[Access granted.]

The Honkai continued unabated.

Bronya and Raiden Mei watched anxiously as two figures were enveloped by Honkai Energy.

It was now evident that the Herrscher born from this Honkai event was Xia Chen.

However, for some unknown reason, instead of engaging in battle, Xia Chen and Kiana found themselves simultaneously encased by Honkai, akin to the final step in a sacrificial ritual.

From afar, Siegfried observed with a sigh, "So it has come down to this after all. Yet, perhaps I should consider myself fortunate."

He knew Sirin Project had succeeded.

The escalating Honkai Energy within Kiana made her capable of becoming a Herrscher.

The next step would be for her consciousness to fully grasp this Herrscher power.

Siegfried was supposed to be the final sacrifice.

But now, with Kiana bound to the Virtual God Remains, Xia Chen severed the threads of fate connected to her destiny.
