Chapter 53: Chapter 54: Physical Training Must Be Practiced Well
On Friday morning, in Class 1, Ninja School.
The students were discussing how to approach the upcoming physical training class.
"Should we do it the same way as last time?" one of the students asked.
"Not today. Based on what we heard from Teacher Mu Yue yesterday, the physical training teacher has definitely exaggerated our actions in class to Teacher Mu Yue," Shen Yue Chikage deduced.
"With Teacher Mu Yue's personality, he might come over to supervise during physical training class," Shen Yue Chikage added.
"I'm really fed up with the physical training teacher. It's the first time I've heard of a teacher reporting students," Gang Zi Tie complained.
Even worse, not only did he report them, but he added some extra details that were uncalled for.
"Let's just give Teacher Mu Yue some face today and not cause any trouble," Shen Yue Chikage suggested.
The other students agreed with Shen Yue Chikage's reasoning, deciding to treat the physical training class as if it were Teacher Mu Yue's class.
"The physical training teacher really is annoying," Akadō muttered, feeling frustrated.
She had been scolded by Mu Yue for not performing well in physical training, and now, the teacher was reporting her to Mu Yue.
The whole class nodded in agreement. Teacher谷村年宏's actions had caused their opinions of him to drop significantly.
When the bell rang, Teacher谷村年宏 entered the classroom.
Seeing the students sitting quietly and not talking, he felt relieved.
However, he didn't let his guard down. After all, the last class had started with a calm atmosphere, only to turn into something more aggressive later.
"Alright, everyone, go downstairs and run three laps around the playground to warm up," Teacher谷村年宏 said with a small cough.
The students followed his instructions and went downstairs, starting their run without discussing the teacher.
After the run,谷村年宏 began teaching the physical training routines. After demonstrating twice, he allowed the students to practice freely.
During the practice, no one criticized Teacher谷村年宏, and the calmness in the classroom made him feel like this class was completely different from the last one.
"I really owe Teacher Mu Yue a drink,"谷村年宏 thought to himself, feeling grateful.
He understood that this change was entirely due to Mu Yue's influence. Without Mu Yue's intervention, the students wouldn't have behaved so differently.
At that moment, Mu Yue walked by the playground as per谷村年宏's request.
Mu Yue greeted him and stayed for a little while on the playground.
When the class ended, Shen Yue Chikage said with satisfaction, "I told you so. Teacher Mu Yue definitely came."
"Does that mean we won't do anything next time?" one of the students asked unwillingly.
The more Mu Yue helped Teacher谷村年宏, the more they disliked谷村年宏.
"Of course not. Teacher Mu Yue isn't free all the time. Next class, we can continue our actions," Shen Yue Chikage said.
...
In Class 2, the classroom was filled with the sounds of pen scribbling as Nohara Rin looked at the troubled figure of Obito.
"Obito, what's going on? You've been so diligent lately, always studying whenever you have free time," she asked, worried.
While studying hard was a good thing, Obito suddenly becoming so passionate about theory made Nohara Rin anxious.
Hearing Nohara Rin's question, Obito paused, feeling a lump in his throat and the urge to cry.
Was he being diligent and loving studying? No, this was the result of poor performance in physical training!
Breaking up tasks over time had consequences. For example, a set of ten questions might end up becoming eleven when broken up into smaller parts.
This meant that while Obito didn't have to do many questions in one day, he had to tackle them every day.
What was worse was that there were daily physical training exercises, meaning he was accumulating new questions every day.
However, he couldn't complete them all at once, and the thought of doing so was overwhelming, not to mention it affected his training.
"Everyone's grades are improving, so I can't fall behind," Obito forced a stiff smile and explained.
He certainly wasn't going to mention the embarrassing reason that his poor physical training had led to this punishment.
"I'm glad to hear that. You've really grown a lot!" Nohara Rin said happily.
Since Obito had been late to school at the beginning, Nohara Rin had always looked after him like a little brother. Seeing him now, ranking among the top in combat and finally passing his theoretical tests, she was genuinely happy.
"Really?" Obito's stiff smile softened, like a dried-up plant receiving water, becoming more natural.
With Nohara Rin's praise, Obito felt more motivated and his pace quickened. He even felt he could finish his homework for the next day ahead of time.
"Now that the weekend is almost here, what are you going to do, Obito?" Nohara Rin asked.
"Wait, is today really Friday?" Obito suddenly realized, his forehead breaking out in cold sweat. These past few days, his mind had been so consumed with physical training and homework that he had lost track of time.
"Yeah, after class, we'll be on break. Aren't you happy?" Nohara Rin asked with a smile.
Hearing her confirmation, Obito's world seemed to spin for a moment.
From Monday to Friday, they only needed to train in the afternoon until sunset.
But weekends were different. They had to train from morning until sunset.
Longer training meant more time fighting with Might Guy, and more fighting meant more assignments.
Obito could almost see waves of homework rushing toward him, ready to drown him.
"Obito, are you okay? You look like something's wrong. Do you want me to take you to the nurse?" Nohara Rin asked, noticing his pale expression.
"I'm fine, just too excited for the break," Obito quickly forced a smile.
"Right, I'm thrilled. With so much time to train, my strength will skyrocket. I'll definitely top the school rankings and win Rin's admiration," Obito silently reassured himself.
"Promise me, Rin, you'll definitely practice your physical training well," Obito couldn't help but say.
"Yeah, I know, physical training is important," Nohara Rin nodded, unaware of the pain behind Obito's words.
After school, Obito headed to the South Boundary Forest for his training.
Might Guy had already arrived before him and was getting ready to train.
The two exchanged glances, each seeing a strong desire to win in the other's eyes.
They both knew what the weekend meant.
This was no joke. If they weren't careful, they'd be buried under an endless pile of assignments.
"If only I had the Sharingan, I'd be able to handle it all!" Obito thought for the first time, yearning for the Uchiha clan's bloodline limit.
The Sharingan had powerful dynamic vision, which would allow him to easily read his opponent's movements.
He had a feeling that if he survived this weekend, the homework would carry him all the way to the end of the semester.
"This can't happen!" Obito clenched his fist and punched the wooden post in front of him.
On the other side, Might Guy was silently lifting heavy stones to strengthen his thighs.
He didn't just want to avoid more assignments; he aimed to be the best in his grade.
Mu Yue, observing both of them with satisfaction, smiled.
If they kept up this level of intensity, after a month, Hinata Hoshimaru wouldn't even be their opponent.
