He Became A Monstrous Genius After Obtaining A Time Dilation Artifact

Chapter 247.Ruined date

The morning sun illuminated the entire region with its rays, casting its warmth on all beneath it.

Several conversations, mixed with various expressions of shock and incredulity, pervaded the environs, with several gazes fixed on a particular individual with a calm, flippant expression on his face.

"The hell? He was able to return from the Seragun planes unharmed? How is this possible?"

"Bastard was obviously scared and ran away with his tail tucked between his legs."

"Tch, I knew he couldn't fulfill the mission. Returning after just two days of entering the Seragun plane. No matter how powerful he is for a first year, the Seragun plane is an extremely dreadful region. I find what he did admirable, though. At least he has some brains. That mission is not worth his life. It's just what it's always been, an impossible mission."

"I don't care about the mission. The point is that I was right, he survived, and I won the bet, so hand over the tickets to the movie premiere. I already promised my girlfriend that I would be getting her a ticket. Thank goodness it paid off."

"Okay, whatever."

"Is that him? He looks so handsome. That smooth hair and pale white skin. He looks quite athletic too, maybe even—"

"Hold it right there. You and your dirty mind. You already have a boyfriend. Aren't you ashamed of yourself?"

"Don't lecture me, girl. You think I didn't see the blush on your face when you saw him?"

Kailen ignored the gazes fixed on him, alongside the conversations about him.

He was currently strolling through the streets of the Alchemy department, having crossed multiple buildings, headed towards a particular building responsible for the making of alchemical products.

Finally, he managed to arrive at his location.

Quickly, he entered the building, causing the imaginations of the onlookers to go wild.

Did he find the Solar Achelum herb?

Definitely not.

It was definitely not possible.

There were two things that happened to those who took on this mission.

It was either they returned without fulfilling the mission, having miraculously survived the daunting Seragun plane,

or they wouldn't return from the planes, which meant that they'd perished.

These were the only two outcomes.

So why did someone they thought had experienced the first possibility enter the manufacturing building?

Had he found the Solar Achelum herb, about to make that special talent-enhancing elixir?

The crowd realised they were probably overthinking things.

He was obviously heading there for his own business.

This sounded more plausible.

Convinced with this reasoning ,everyone resumed their activities .

_

Enna Harker was currently in a very bad mood.

Not only had Kailen Darkhaven survived, there were no signs of the senior year students from the Harker Family she had sent after him.

"Did he kill them?" Just as she asked herself this question, she realized she was probably overestimating the kid.

It could be that they had gotten lost on the Seragun plane and were yet to return.

After all, the Seragun plane was extremely large.

It was normal for them to get lost or most likely lose track of Kailen Darkhaven.

However, this was too strange.

Even if they had lost track of him, they should have returned by now.

After all, she had given them some teleportation scrolls with which they could return to the academy in case they found themselves lost on the plane or even encountered a dangerous situation.

There should be no reason for them to be staying on the Seragun plane after all.

"Could it be that they are still searching for him? Maybe I should contact them?"

She wanted to send them messages to ask about where they were.

However, she remembered that one of the things about the Seragun plane was that communication was impossible in that place.

The moment a person entered that region, all available access to network would be jammed for some reason. One would have no choice but to rely on yourself in such a place, with no one to contact or rely on for backup or reinforcement in terms of help—a common characteristic associated with most dangerous regions in the academy.

It was therefore no surprise that the plane was a very ideal place to kill someone whose death you did not want traced back to you.

Enna sighed. "Three of my precious disciples, possibly dead?"

Her gaze turned extremely cold at the thought.

With clenched fists, she muttered, staring into the distance coldly, the cold breeze of winter causing her hair to flutter as she sat calmly on the beach, with a male figure hugging her from behind—another instructor she was currently on a date with.

"I hope not. Else, I will kill the kid myself, regardless of the consequences that may follow for an instructor breaching the 'no killing students protocol'."

The man noticed her sudden shift in mood.

They had been conversing all this while, even about to get down to some business on the beach.

But suddenly, she went all silent, lost in her thoughts, her gaze and expression turning cold.

Her fists clenched so much that blood was oozing from her hands.

"What's going on with you? One minute you are into me and the next, you go all silent and absent-minded."

The man spoke, releasing her from his embrace, clearly annoyed.

Enna looked at him with a sigh.

"Just some personal business."

He sighed, as if recalling something.

"I like you, Enna. But my ex was also like this—hiding stuff from me all the time. I don't think this will work out."

Without waiting for her to even reply, he turned into a streak of light and bolted off, cursing and muttering stuff like, "Should have known Murphy's Law was at work—whatever can go wrong will go wrong," and "Women cannot be trusted."

Enna's words were stuck in her throat.

She clicked her tongue, annoyed. "Tch. What an impatient bastard."

Her expression turned gloomy after that. "Looks like I'll spend the next Valentine's Day alone."

She stood up lazily, then muttered coldly, "Killed my niece, the reason why I sent off my disciples to the Seragun planes, only for who knows what to happen to them . And now because of him, I can't even have a proper date. If my disciples do not return after ten days, that will mean they died. And I'll have no choice but to get rid of him myself."
