He Became A Monstrous Genius After Obtaining A Time Dilation Artifact

Kailen observed his surroundings.

The region was teeming with pure larva, almost suffocating. Kailen felt as if the very air around him was going to melt him away.

Suffocating smoke rose from the ground into the air.

The thick scent of magma pulsed, peering through every nook and cranny of the region.

Suddenly...

A heavy pressure, associated with a resounding, animalistic roar, bore down on Kailen and every other area of the region, causing the ominous feeling he had felt as soon as he stepped foot in the Seragun plane to resurface.

The pressure was associated with extreme killing intent.

Kailen was about to use Umbral replacement to teleport back into his room.

He could attempt the mission at another time. There was no reason to risk his life.

However, he stopped, not because he had changed his mind. He stopped because the universe energy pathways of the region seemed to be converging towards a particular region.

Kailen decided to tread carefully. Instead of personally following the source where the universe energy was currently converging towards, he summoned one of his shadow creatures to do that for him.

The shadow creature drew closer to the source of the phenomenon.

Finally, Kailen saw something peculiar through the eyes of the shadow creature.

The creature he saw was just like the humanoid scorpion creatures he had seen earlier before he got here.

However, this one was extremely large, towering like a mountain.

The creature was extremely comfortable in the magma, so much so that it was currently asleep, snoring atop a sea of magma as balloons of flames seemed to be spewing out of its mouth, surrounded by what seemed to be some rocky walls with magma streaming through them.

The amount of universe energy pulsing from the snoring body of the humanoid scorpion creature was nothing to scoff at.

"So this bastard is absorbing the universe energy of the surroundings. This explains why the universe energy seems to be converging towards him. Also, it seems to be a supreme stage Ascendant level lifeform. I'm no match for it. It seems this was the fellow giving me the sense of unease when I stepped foot in this plane."

Kailen told the shadow creature to draw closer.

As the creature floated closer to the snoring form of the creature, the shadow creature saw something that left Kailen extremely perplexed.

"The Solar Achelum herb?"

The herb Kailen was looking for was currently growing on the forehead of the scorpion-like creature.

"How the hell am I supposed to get the Solar Achelum herb from the head of a supreme stage Ascendant level lifeform?"

Kailen mused to himself, completely flabbergasted.

Just when he was in his thoughts, the creature's eyes suddenly snapped open.

Quickly, a heavy pressure bore down on the shadow creature.

The towering creature opened his ginormous eyes and stared at the shadow creature for a split second before a large magma-like fireball shot out of its mouth and killed the shadow creature.

Kailen literally felt a chill crawl up his spine. He knew very well that what he had just witnessed was what would have happened to him had he been there himself instead of his shadow creature.

"Who dares to invade the sanctuary of I, Gustalo, the scorpion king?"

The scorpion king Gustalo, as the creature referred to himself, snorted coldly, then closed his eyes again, returning to sleep, snoring away as though what had just happened was nothing.

Simply, he couldn't even be bothered to think about who was scheming against him or had probably invaded his territory.

They would all have one inevitable end—death.

Kailen used Umbral replacement and teleported out of the region.

He had to think of what to do, as he reappeared somewhere else on the Seragun planes.

His mind churned with ideas and possibilities.

"There's no need to fight him. I'm no match for him in the first place. Even if I were, there wouldn't be a need to. The only thing I have to do is to sneak into his territory and simply pull out the Solar Achelum herb growing atop his head. That's right, the shadow hounds! Why did I not think of sending them? After all, they are masters of stealth. These guys were even able to hide in plain sight from galactic lifeforms. Why would it be any problem for them to steal something from an Ascendant level creature?"

Kailen berated himself when the answer to his problems was obviously in plain sight.

Quickly, he teleported back to the magma region.

Kailen quickly summoned his shadow hounds.

The creatures completely blended with the atmosphere, disappearing from plain sight, leaving no traces of their presence.

Kailen couldn't help but think this was too cheat-like.

If this were a novel, he would have cursed the author for making things too easy for the protagonist and making the protagonist too overpowered.

But since this was reality and he "achieved everything through his own hard work," he felt gleeful.

"You want to suffer more, huh?" A chill literally crept up his spine when he heard the words of the time dilation artifact.

"Of course not. I'm not a masochist. Besides, this is reality, not some novel. Why do I have to suffer so much when things can be easy for me? In life, there are people who simply have it easy, as there are those who suffer to get what they want. I'm more like a combination of both."

Kailen's spittle was flying all over as he spoke in utmost seriousness and shamelessness.

The time dilation artifact wanted to "bully him" for being so shameless, but considering where he was currently, she just sighed at his shamelessness and disappeared.

Kailen chuckled lightly and disappeared from the magma region.

He sat somewhere on the plane ground, watching everything through the eyes of the shadow hounds.

As expected, it was extremely easy for them to infiltrate the den of the scorpion king and steal the Solar Achelum herb.

The creature didn't even notice a thing as he snored deeply when the herb was plucked neatly from his forehead by hound 3.

However, it was obvious that the scorpion king would go crazy when he woke up.

Kailen was extremely thankful for his shadow creatures and godlike cheats.

Had it not been for them, things would have been extremely difficult for him.

Quickly, he used Umbral replacement and reappeared in his villa on the first years' accommodation planet, having summoned all his shadow creatures into the shadow expanse.
