The whole room descended into thick silence at the mention of Saul and Selena Darkhaven.

The chief examiner's eyes trembled slightly ,however before anyone in the room could notice the subtle change in her eyes, they resumed their former callous calm.

One of the instructors voiced in sincere shock.

Another chimed in with realisation.

The achievements of Saul Darkhaven and Selena Darkhaven in the academy were numerous,even more so, their contributions on the battlefield at the boarder.

However ,family politics , internal rifts non of them had the right to interfere in ,had claimed their lives.

Even the Royal Family seemed disinterested in involving themselves in matters of the clans- a clear statement that such matters should not be interfered in overtly by anyone.

Therefore ,some instructors at the academy who were fond of the duo had to remain silent , their desire for revenge vanishing completely.

But now , their son had appeared.

Would history repeat itself ?

Or would he survive whatever scheme Cyrus Darkhaven had planned ahead of him, and carve a future for himself that no one has carved before?

More so, would be able to avenge them?

The chief examiner muttered as a small smile tugged at the edge of her lips " Interesting. It seems the academy will be fun from now on "

" Hey, let go of me!" The young lady screamed back ,annoyed .

In several places across the empire ,similar scenes of people blessing Kailen ensued. After all, they had become overnight rich people by betting heavily on him winning the entrance exams.

Others cursed him ,directing all their rage for losing the bets they placed on examinees they deemed with more potential towards him.

Information concerning Kailen was also dug up at absurd rate.

The various domains across the empire all knew about Kailen Darkhaven by now.

What he had done in the entrance exams was extremely incredulous.

No one had managed to amass such a high level of points for participating in,or winning the first place in the entrance exams of the empire for at least in the last thousand years .

Not only that, he was just seventeen years.

Each information dug about him- even ones before he started threading the sea of stars, was equally staggering .

The most sensational place in the empire right now was of course ,earth.

Everyone was extremely euphoric.

This was the entrance exams of the Astral Empire.

The participants were extremely enormous ,geniuses of different magnitude stretching across all of the empire.

Yet, an earthling was currently in first place.

Heck ,he was not just in first place , the gap between him and the other participants had made it clear that he was unmatched.

Kailen had brought honor to earth, a planet completely dominated by humans .

In the vast universe ,it was general knowledge that inasmuch as humans were very adaptable to growth ,change and rise in strength ,they were equally weak. Only a few human hegemons had risen to the top in the universe.

So for a human to emerge on the top of the entrance exams ,although not a grand feat in the grand scheme of things , was an euphoric boost for all humans across the empire.

Kailen's loved ones on earth bore proud expressions on their faces .

They knew he wouldn't dissspoint.

And he hadn't .

Many of them had turned off the live feed.

At this point , the results were clear.

They had seen what they had to see.

Seeing Kailen demonstrate strength put more pressure on them to grow stronger.

Therefore, they resumed their activities ,towards pushing towards their own definitions of strength ,to carry the burden of their planet and their loved ones with him.

Arrie in particular ,clenched her fists ,the snow of the ice infested region,falling on her dainty frame.

" I need to head deeper into the deeper regions, and hone myself , alone "

She stared at Charles and Micheal ,her expression one of undeterred determination.

The young men did not stop him.

They had the same thoughts in mind.

Each took a different turn , one headed towards north Antartica , another east Antartica and one south Antartica.

They would not return from Antartica until they were each at the ascendant level.

Kailen finally stopped his incessant grinding for points.

He shot out of the volcanic sea, it's exterior packed with dead floating masses of diabolic beasts he had just killed.

His gaze lingered on them for a second , then snapped sharply, locking on Cimeris and Sanguine, who thought they had done a great job at concealing themselves.

His gaze, extremely chilly bore on them, a smirk that sent shivers running down their spines, playing at the edge of his lips.

" Shit "

They screamed.

He moved.

A slam in the chest, one in the groin.

The first for Cimeris , the later for Sanguine.

The duo were hurtled backwards, about to make impact with the ocean of magma.

Yet several strikes followed.

Brutal ,savage .

Kailen was pummeling them. For several seconds ,his figure slammed into their bodies with precision, focused on only caving in Cimeris' chest further and Sanguine's sacred jewels .

Weakly,Sanguine muttered ,his groin had been shattered. He had to look for healers as quickly as possible to heal him, else what advantage did he have as a male?

" Why" Sanguine asked ,in pain.

Kailen scoffed, holding the battered forms of the duo before him.

" You have the nerve to ask me why?"

His gaze bore into Cimeris ,who's chest was caved in ,barely conscious.

" We are sorry " She voiced weakly.

Kailen replied ,his gaze snapping back to Sanguine.

" At least one of you remembers what happened. You invaded my home planet ,planned to use it as a trial ground for your sick entrance exams for your sect. Had we been unprepared, wouldn't we have been in a more unfavorable position than what you are in now ?"

His words thrummed in their hearts chillingly .

He was right.

Based on what they knew , the earthlings would have suffered severely had they not been prepared to deal with the invasion.

Kailen was just doing to them what they would have done to the earthlings ,killed ,or even worse, sold to be slaves.

"Im not gonna kill you both. But from now on ,you'll be my slaves"
