Harry approached Daphne with a smile. Daphne who was about to walk away with her friend stopped at Harry's approach.
"Daphne," he greeted her with a smile.
"Harry," she smiled back but unease had occupied her face. The reason being the uncomfortable stares that the other students were giving them.
Harry turned towards the other girl, "I believe you are Tracey Davis."
"Now that I am the friend of your friend, I assume, we can also be considered friends," Harry said as he extended his hands towards her.
"Is that so?" Tracey mumbled slowly. She was also feeling uncomfortable amid the stares which had gotten even more intense after Harry had extended his hands towards her.
Not willing to 'offend' Harry and repeat what had happened the first time when Harry had extended his hands towards Daphne, Tracey quickly shook hands with Harry.
"I wonder if the of you beautiful ladies would be willing to spare this spare hour with me?" Harry asked and Daphne gave a nod.
"Mr. Potter," she said but Harry cut her across, "Harry it is."
"Harry," Daphne rephrased as the trio started to walk. "Can I ask you something?"
"Go ahead," Harry said.
"Did you approach me for the friendship because of what I had said in the compartment or is it something else?" She was clearly worried if Harry's approach was based on Dumbledore's guidance.
"What do you think?" Harry asked in amusement. He did not wait for Daphne to answer.
"If you are worried if I am doing this with some sinister agenda or under someone's else directive then rest assured. I am doing this completely on my own accord."
"I believe I am a true friend that you need," he added with a knowing smile.
"Anyways, what do you usually do in the free period?" He questioned.
"We would have spent it in the library," Daphne answered.
"Library it is then," said Harry as the trio walked towards the Hogwarts' library.

While, Harry had gone along with Daphne and Tracey, Hermione who had stayed behind approached Minerva McGonagall.
"Miss. Granger," Minerva who was busy collecting her books, said as she Hermione approaching towards her. "Is there something you did not understand about today's lessons?"
"No, professor," Hermione said slowly; her expression tense.
Hermione's tense expression drew Minerva's attention as she looked at her student, "What is the matter, Miss Hermione?"
Hermione took deep breath to calm her mind, "Professor, it is something that happened on Hogwarts express on our journey back to the school."
"Ah!" Minerva smiled. "You need not worry about Mr. Potter, Miss. Granger. I am sure that headmaster Dumbledore will handle the matter accordingly."
"It is just that Mr. Potter will have to reign in his anger," Minerva added with a sigh as remembered the incident which had happened just an hour ago in the great hall.
"No, professor," Hermione shook her head indignantly. "It is not about Harry."
"What is it then?" Minerva questioned with a frown witnessing Hermione's unusual behaviour.
"It is something that had happened prior to Harry's accident," Hermione said. "In the compartment when he entered… we found Daphne Greengrass."
"She had been bullied," said Hermione. "No… it was not bullying. It was an assault, most probably sexual assault, though I do not know the severity of the issue."
"Her things had been scattered. Her clothes had been pulled and torn at various places. Her hair was in dishevelled state."
"The two boys who entered along with that person whose head Harry broke had most probably come to repeat what had already happened to Daphne," Hermione said and by the time she finished, her face had turned red in anger.
Minerva remained silent for the first few moments and there was no change in her expression.
"Oh!" was the only thing that left Minerva's mouth after the moments of intense silence.
Hermione was taken aback by the response. She had expected that the moments of silence from Minerva was her building rage but Minerva's reaction told Hermione all that was to know.
"Professor," she almost shrieked in a flabbergasted tone. "You are already aware of this."
"Yes, Miss. Granger," Minerva sighed. She had no words for an answer and nor words to comfort Hermione.
"Why… but why professor?" Hermione shouted. "How are you allowing this?"
"A student of Hogwarts is being assaulted. How can you allow this?"
"Wait…" realisation struck Hermione. "Does this mean that, since you are aware… headmaster Dumbledore is also aware of this?"
"Yes, Miss. Granger," Minerva said dryly. Her words had no emotions. She was like an emotionless doll.
"Why?" Hermione shrieked.
"Miss. Granger," Minerva said after few moments of silence. "The world is not always fair. It is not a paradise."
"There are a lot of complexities… a lot of issues," she continued. "How do I tell you? Explain you?"
"There is nothing you can tell me that would justify an assault on a student," Hermione snapped.
"Yes," Minerva responded. "But you must know."
"For other students, I would have not taken the difficulty to go through this," Minerva explained. "Since by doing so, I would be breaking a rule… but for you, probably, I can breach the rule this once."
