Chapter 25: Chapter 25 Xi?
The Battle Nears Its End
Both Hulk and Hatred had been defeated, returning to their human forms.
"Blonsky!"
Banner slowly opened his eyes, and as his vision cleared, he was shocked to see the man standing before him.
Every time he woke up after losing control, he always found himself in an empty environment. But this time, he was still on the street, and his former enemy remained in front of him.
"Ah, Banner, you're awake. Don't be tense. I don't want to fight anymore," Blonsky said, finding a tattered cloth from the ruins and wrapping it around himself.
Banner pushed himself off the ground, feeling a sharp pain in his stomach. It was a rare sensation for him.
"You don't want to hit me anymore? That wasn't how you were before! What happened?" Banner asked, his face filled with confusion.
Blonsky shrugged helplessly and gave a wry smile. "What else can I do? When you meet a man with real power, you realize you're just a pawn."
Banner's eyes widened in surprise. "What? Someone strong enough to overpower both Hulk and you?"
"That's right. That man is unbelievably powerful. Even Hulk couldn't fight back against him," Blonsky admitted, a trace of fear flashing in his eyes.
After a moment of silence, Banner let out a sigh. "At least the chaos is finally over."
Blonsky exhaled deeply. "It's good that it's over. I don't want to lose control like that ever again."
"Have you really changed?" Banner glanced at him skeptically.
Blonsky nodded seriously. "After experiencing all of this, I finally understand that power isn't meant to be used for destruction at will."
Banner scoffed. "I hope you remember what you're saying today."
"Don't worry, Banner. From now on, I have no hatred left in me," Blonsky said with firm resolve.
Seeing the genuine regret in Blonsky's expression, Banner chose to say nothing further. He had planned to leave, but if the military wasn't retreating, then he wasn't going anywhere just yet.
"That man told us to stay here and not leave. You should listen—otherwise, you might really die next time," Blonsky warned.
"Where is he? I'll talk to him myself."
Blonsky pointed in a direction, and Banner started walking toward it.
Meanwhile, Chino approached Pamela.
The onlookers kept their distance, standing a few dozen meters away as they watched.
"Pamela, what's the situation?"
"Seventy-six people have suffered severe injuries or permanent disabilities, one hundred seventy-six have minor injuries, and eighty-nine are dead," Pamela reported.
Chino looked at the hundreds of bodies lying on the ground and felt a headache coming on.
"Chino, can you save them?"
Gwen couldn't hold back and asked the question.
"Let me think first," Chino muttered as he consulted his mind.
"Venom, treating this many people at once would consume too much energy, wouldn't it?"
[Just a little, but…]
"Then it won't work. The problem isn't just us."
[No, what I meant was—]
"I know. It's beyond our capability. We should send them to the nearest hospital. Can you survive if we do that?"
Chino was about to use his super speed to rush the injured to the hospital when a tentacle extended from his Superman suit and smacked the back of his head.
Pamela and Gwen were startled, thinking a fight had broken out.
[You idiot, listen to me until the end! Lucifer gave you access to Hell precisely to check if any demons with healing abilities exist there!]
Chino rubbed the back of his head, momentarily stunned. Then, realization dawned on him.
"Right! Why did I forget about Hell?" Chino's eyes lit up.
"If the burden on Sister Venom is too much, should we send them to the hospital?"
Pamela shared Chino's thoughts—some things were more important than strangers or even family.
Gwen was a little disappointed, knowing Chino had done his best, but once these people were hospitalized, at least half of them would die.
"No, I just have another solution."
Chino looked at the red tattoo on his wrist, raised his hand, and waved it, opening a portal. Then, in an arrogant tone, he spoke:
"You maggots, move faster! If His Majesty returns and finds the palace still unfinished, I will lose face in front of him."
"Hmph, glaring at me? You bullied me before, didn't you? Get the whip."
Slap!
"Ah, if His Majesty sees my masterpiece when he returns, will he reward me? Perhaps with a perfect night together? Hehehe."
The surroundings fell into silence.
Chino frowned, glancing at the glowing lines on his wrist. Did he open the wrong door?
"Is the Sun here?"
"Your Majesty, ah—!"
The sound of chains rattling echoed as a small head emerged from the portal. When Chino saw the glow in those eyes, he started walking forward.
Standing before him was a petite girl with snow-white skin and delicate features, as if she had stepped straight out of an anime. Her long black hair was tied into twin ponytails.
She wore a tight-fitting black leather jacket that clung to her body like a second skin. The collar was cut low, revealing just enough of her chest to hint at her curves, and her slender collarbones were accentuated.
A belt with metallic studs cinched her waist, emphasizing her slim figure. The leather jacket ended just at the upper thighs, exposing her fair, well-shaped legs whenever she moved.
Beneath this bold attire, she retained a playful yet charming aura, possessing a unique allure that made people unable to look away.
"My greetings to His Majesty, the Demon King."
"I? Why do you look like this?"
"This is my own modification. If Your Majesty is not satisfied, I can revert it."
Yuichi responded seriously. When Chino nodded, she smiled with satisfaction.
"Uh… No, it's fine as it is."
As Chino glanced around, his eyes suddenly met Gwen's mask. She remained silent, but he could feel the judgment in her gaze.
Pamela, on the other hand, studied the leather jacket and made a mental note to buy one in a few days.
"Don't look at me like that. I didn't ask her to dress this way," Chino weakly explained.
Gwen just chuckled.
Yuichi secretly smirked. She was certain that she had made the right choice. After all, His Majesty was still a man, and among a hundred souls, she had selected the most beautiful form possible.
Loli, leather jackets, and twin ponytails—these were the most popular elements. Using them as a reference, she had adjusted her appearance to its current form.
[Hey! Stop getting excited so easily! If I weren't restraining you, you'd be waving a flag in front of hundreds of people right now!]
Venom sighed. She now fully understood—whether it was big or small, this guy had no preferences.
[Thank goodness. If he really started acting up in front of this many people, we'd have to exile him to another universe.]
"Xi, are there any demons in Hell who specialize in healing?"
"Healing? Your Majesty, do you wish to save them?"
Yuichi had long been paying attention to the humans on the ground.
In normal times, she would have asked others to bring them to Hell as food.
"Well, if there isn't one, forget it."
"No, no, there is one! Please wait a moment, Your Majesty!"
Yuichi hurriedly leapt back through the portal. This was the first task His Majesty had given her—how could she disappoint him?
And if none existed, she would simply create one on the spot.
"Chino, you're a demon of Hell!"
Gwen finally realized that the boy she liked was a demon.
