Chapter 24: Chapter 24 Hulk is not convinced
The residents on the streets of New York stood still, their mouths slightly open and eyes widened in disbelief and shock as they blankly stared at the sky.
A young woman's handbag slipped from her grasp and fell to the ground, but she didn't even notice. She simply gazed up at the sky in a daze and murmured to herself, "How… how is this even possible?"
A small boy excitedly waved his tiny hands. "Dad, look! It's Superman!"
However, his father remained silent, his face frozen in an expression of shock.
Among them, only the reporters managed to capture the unfolding scene.
Watching the scene on television, Tony couldn't help but laugh.
"Pepper, look at this guy, Chino. He's swinging those two giants around like they're nunchaku."
"Boss, the situation at the scene isn't looking optimistic!" Pepper said, slightly flustered.
"It's fine. Chino's got this."
Tony knew Chino's capabilities well.
His ability to fly might not have surfaced yet, but as long as he wasn't dead, his healing ability remained intact.
"But still, I should go. There are villains to deal with, after all."
SHIELD — Level 8 Agent.
Agent Coulson, who had just arrived at the scene, gradually regained his composure and spoke into his headset. "Director, I've arrived at the scene. What are my orders?"
"It depends on negotiations."
"Yes, sir!"
Coulson returned the energy gun in his hand to its holster.
If negotiations failed, he'd send a bullet of hatred straight to hell. But for now, that wasn't necessary.
SHIELD Headquarters.
Nick Fury silently watched the live broadcast.
A man playing with two monsters, each weighing dozens of tons, as if they were mere toys—was this another Captain Marvel?
So far, neither Hatred nor Hulk had gone on a destructive rampage, but cries for help still echoed from beneath the collapsed buildings.
Amidst the chaos, Pamela stepped forward, revealing her unique abilities.
With light and graceful steps, she walked toward the rubble of a collapsed building. Beneath the wreckage, trapped civilians desperately called out for help.
Pamela closed her eyes slightly and raised her hand in an elegant motion. At her fingertips, a green glow shimmered.
In an instant, thick, flexible vines sprouted from the ground, growing and extending rapidly as if they were alive.
They moved with precision, maneuvering between the ruins, carefully lifting heavy stones, broken beams, and shattered columns. Pamela remained calm and focused, gently waving her fingers, guiding the vines with remarkable accuracy.
As the vines worked tirelessly, the trapped civilians were gradually revealed, one by one. The vines carefully lifted them and gently set them down on stable ground.
Pamela's long hair swayed in the breeze, her eyes filled with both concern and kindness. In that moment, she looked like a goddess of mercy, rescuing those in distress.
The civilians who had been saved looked at her with awe and gratitude, as if witnessing the dawn of hope itself.
Gwen, watching Pamela's graceful rescue efforts, couldn't help but gaze at her in admiration.
"Amazing ability, Pamela."
But Pamela didn't stop even after finishing the initial rescues.
She continued searching the surroundings, gently moving the wounded with her vines and carrying them away from danger.
Once she had gathered the injured in a relatively safe area, she arranged them in an orderly manner.
Pamela turned to Gwen and said, "Everyone has their own strength and value. And you protect the city in your own way."
"Uh…"
Gwen glanced at the injured people on the ground with concern. "Pamela, what do we do now? There are hundreds of injured people. The ambulances won't be able to transport them all."
Moved by Pamela's efforts, Gwen naturally called her "sister."
"That's where Venom comes in."
Pamela looked up at Chino, who was still in the sky, and shouted, "Chino, stop playing around. We need Sister Venom!"
Hearing Pamela's call, Chino's voice rang from above. "Give me three more minutes!"
And with that, he let go.
Abomination and Hulk plummeted from the sky, their massive bodies pulled down by gravity, crashing toward the ground at terrifying speed.
With a deafening impact, the ground shattered, sending dust and debris flying into the air.
Boom! Boom!
Two earth-shaking explosions echoed through the city.
Chino slowly descended, his gaze fixed coldly on the two fallen giants before him.
"Are you convinced now?"
However, instead of an answer, he was met with the sound of retching.
Abomination and Hulk, the moment they landed, began vomiting violently, their stomachs churning as they spewed out a foul, acidic liquid.
It took them a moment to recover.
"I… I don't… I believe you now. I won't fight back."
Abomination finally came to his senses and raised his hands in surrender.
He and Hulk still had plenty of strength left, but… this was unacceptable!
"Hulk… does not… accept this…"
Hulk's eyes burned with anger as he wiped the acidic vomit from the corner of his mouth and forced himself to stand up.
Abomination, beside him, looked at him with admiration. Hulk refused to yield—truly impressive.
"Stay put and don't run."
"I promise, I won't run."
Abomination realized there was no point in escaping. If this man wanted him dead, he'd already be dead. It was better to stay honest.
"Twelve punches were enough for Thanos to knock you out. I wonder how many I'll need."
Chino clenched his fist and locked eyes with Hulk.
Hulk, seeing the cold, murderous look in Chino's eyes, felt an unfamiliar emotion creeping in—fear. Still, he tried to summon his rage and roared.
"RAAAAHHH!!!"
In an instant, Chino's figure vanished.
A streak of motion blurred through the air, and the next second— BOOM!
His fist slammed into Hulk's abdomen like a cannonball.
The impact forced Hulk's entire torso to cave inward, bending like a crushed lobster.
His thunderous roar was cut off abruptly, replaced by a pained groan.
His eyes bulged, blue veins surfaced on his green skin, and his furious expression contorted in agony.
The sheer force of the blow kicked up a thick cloud of dust, shrouding the battlefield in a smoky haze.
Abomination was so terrified that he swallowed nervously.
Hulk clutched his stomach and coughed violently, a wet, gurgling sound escaping his throat.
Chino's punch was monstrous—so powerful that even the mighty Hulk couldn't endure it.
"Are you convinced now?"
Chino retracted his fist and looked at Hulk with icy indifference.
Hulk stumbled backward, each step feeling heavier than the last. His legs trembled as if drained of strength.
He clutched his stomach, his massive hand pressing against the aching wound, and his fierce face twisted in agony.
Finally, Hulk couldn't endure it any longer. His legs buckled, and he dropped to his knees.
His entire body trembled, sweat the size of beads rolling down his forehead.
"Ugh…"
A low whimper escaped his lips. For the first time, he felt this kind of gut-wrenching pain.
Gone was his usual rage and madness—replacing it was deep-seated fear and helplessness.
"Hulk… accepts…"
