Chapter 26: Chapter 26 Healing the Devil
"Are you scared?"
Gwen blushed as she looked at Chino's handsome face. It was impossible for a Demon King to appear so beautiful.
"I am not afraid."
The wounded people lying on the ground thought to themselves, You're not afraid? The one who saved us wasn't an angel but a devil. If he doesn't heal them, they'll have to pay with their souls as compensation.
At that moment, Banner and Blonsky arrived.
"Hell is real! This is a portal!"
Banner's eyes were fixated on the dark portal.
Having seven PhDs, Banner felt an irresistible attraction toward this phenomenon.
He completely ignored Chino's presence and, still muttering technical jargon, observed the portal with great focus.
"What's wrong with him?"
Chino glanced at Blonsky beside him.
"He originally intended to tell you to leave, but now he has probably forgotten all about it," Blonsky shrugged.
Chino then asked, "What do you plan to do next?"
"I will likely be sent to a military tribunal and locked up in a lab as an experiment," Blonsky said with a bitter smile as he looked at the devastated streets around him. He wondered what he had been thinking when he followed orders to attack civilians.
Chino looked at him and spoke, "Why don't you come with me? The world will soon face multiple crises where your strength will be needed. I can make you stronger—strong enough to truly defeat the Hulk."
"You must have realized it by now. The longer a fight drags on, the stronger Hulk becomes. Even without me, you will eventually lose to him."
Chino had begun recruiting. Though he had many subordinates among the demon race, bringing them into the human world in large numbers would cause chaos.
However, he had another idea—one that might actually work.
Hearing Chino's words, a flash of desire appeared in Blonsky's eyes. His rationality had returned, but his obsession had not faded so easily.
Blonsky stared at Chino and asked, "Can you really make me stronger? Can you really help me defeat the Hulk?"
Chino raised his chin slightly and said with full confidence, "Of course. I have that ability. As long as you follow me, I will grant you even greater power."
Blonsky remained silent for a while, deep in thought. Eventually, he clenched his teeth and said, "Alright. I'll trust you for now."
Chino smiled. "Don't worry. I never break my promises."
At that moment, movement came from the portal.
"Mora, hurry up!"
A lazy yet melodious voice echoed from the portal.
"Xiao Xi, why did you call me? I had only been asleep for a week."
"His Majesty the Demon King requires your abilities. Damn it, why is the Demon King even eating something like that?"
"Oh? Is Xiao Xi jealous that I was born into the Lun Clan?"
"Jealous? I can change too! Hurry up already, His Majesty is waiting!"
Banner, who had finally snapped back to reality, cautiously observed the portal leading to hell. From within, a demon was about to appear.
The first figure to step out was a petite girl—Xi-chan.
Seeing Banner blocking the doorway, she frowned.
"If you don't want me to drag you into hell, step aside."
"A-Ah…"
Banner immediately moved out of the way. This is a demon? Why does she look like a child?
Behind Xi, the portal trembled again.
The first thing to emerge was an enormous chest. The exaggerated size seemed to compress the very air around it. Then, a tall figure slowly stepped forward.
She was a tall woman with long, red hair that lazily draped over her shoulders, her expression tinged with drowsy indifference.
With every step she took, her chest moved like waves. Whether it was the wounded lying on the ground or the citizens watching the broadcast, all were left speechless.
This demon was overwhelmingly… powerful.
Photographers, with sharp instincts, instinctively focused their lenses on the demon's chest.
Despite her relaxed posture, her features were delicate yet possessed a careless charm. Her thin, arched eyebrows gave her an aloof look, and her half-lidded phoenix-shaped eyes carried a lazy allure. Atop her head, two curved horns marked her as a demon.
As she stepped out of the swirling portal, the surrounding people seemed frozen as if caught in an enchantment, unable to avert their gaze from her.
She walked forward and gracefully knelt before Chino, bowing her head in submission.
"The gourmet of His Majesty the Demon King, Lun Clan's Mora, has arrived to heal the wounded."
At that moment, the abyss within her ample chest was directed toward Chino.
They're two sizes larger than Pamela's…
"Phew… Stand up first," Chino inhaled deeply, suddenly feeling a murderous aura from nearby.
Pamela stared at Mora in shock.
"Yes, Your Majesty."
Mora stood up.
"Your Majesty, Xiao Xi said you needed my abilities?" Mora asked in an alluring voice.
Chino cleared his throat and forced his gaze away from her eye-catching features. "That's right. There are many injured people here who require your healing."
Mora gave a small nod. "Your Majesty, the abilities of the Lun Clan come with a side effect."
"What kind of side effect?"
"Well, for light injuries, it may take a few months. For severe injuries, it could take nearly a year…"
Temporary impotence?
Chino glanced at the wounded.
"If you've heard the terms, do you still want to be healed?"
Most of the injured remained calm and immediately agreed. After all, if they weren't treated, they might not survive. Even if they did, the cost of medical treatment was far beyond what most could afford.
"Begin, Mora."
Mora nodded and raised her hand. A green light instantly enveloped the injured.
As the radiant glow surrounded them, wounds began healing at an astonishing speed. Though some still had fractured bones, smiles gradually appeared on their faces.
Just as the injured were celebrating their recovery, a sudden commotion arose.
Screams erupted from the crowd as soldiers armed with rifles surrounded the area, forcing the civilians to evacuate.
Soon after, General Ross arrived.
"Hand him over to me now!"
Chino smirked. "Did you not see the demons I summoned? How audacious of you to try and take someone from a demon."
Ross laughed. "Hah! Demons? They're just mutants. If you leave it to me, I'll make sure you're free to go."
He knew mutants came in various forms, and it was always the psychic-powered ones that were the most feared. But believing that someone could suppress both Hulk and Abomination simultaneously? That was absurd.
Chino narrowed his eyes. "Aren't you afraid that I'll just kill you here and now?"
Ross smirked and pointed at the cameras.
"See that? It's being broadcasted nationwide. If you kill me, the entire country will view this as a direct attack from mutants. You'll have nowhere to run."
Chino's enhanced hearing picked up the voices from across the nation.
"Mutants must die!""Monsters like that shouldn't exist!""Lock them all up!"
A flood of malice and hatred surged into Chino's ears, but he simply laughed.
Ross frowned. "Why are you laughing?"
Chino crossed his arms and said loudly, "Because there is another option."
Ross narrowed his eyes, sensing danger. "What option?"
Chino's eyes glowed with a demonic light as he declared, "Simple. I'll just destroy this country first."
Quote of the Chapter:"Those who fear monsters fail to realize—they were the ones who created them."
