God of Money: Reincarnated as the Weakest SSS Rank

Chapter 116: Anger

His words struck each of the leaders like lightning. They couldn't help but look at each other, wondering: What happened?

"Did something happen, Lord Carwine?" Jackvin asked cautiously.

And Theos also asked: "Did one of our businessmen offend you?"

"Offending me, to a certain extent, is something I would let go, since they don't know me. But what they are doing is a disgrace to the entire southern region and me, as your leader." He looked at Theos. "Especially those under you. Our enemies are in the north, but for a little money, they bow down to them publicly. What a shame."

Theos frowned and lowered his head slightly. He thought he understood what was happening.

'It must have been at that party...' He thought and frowned.

He glanced sideways at the man standing next to Louis.

'I see. So that document was for Dimash Jackson. Who was the bastard who rejected it, saying it was a brutal loss for the House?'

Theos tried hard to remember. He moved every fiber of his body, as if he wanted them to help his brain remember.

Seeing him so silent, Louis walked slowly toward him.

"I hope you weren't responsible for such shameful acts."

His body trembled, and he quickly shook his head.

"No, Lord. It has nothing to do with me," he replied immediately. "But I think I understand what's going on."

"You understand? Then enlighten me with your understanding."

Although Theos realized that saying that was a mistake, he still spoke. He couldn't turn back time, but he could explain it clearly.

He was very afraid of lying about anything, so he first reviewed all the information in his mind.

"A few days ago, a document arrived in which Mr. Dimash Jackson..." He said, looking at Dimash to the side. "He was asking the House of the Ancient Moon for help in surviving the northern onslaught against his companies. I didn't read it completely, because someone qualified took it upon themselves to seal it as unnecessary and a waste of time if we did," he said, and took out a letter of invitation.

"Today, a meeting is being held between the major businessmen in the area. I sent some of our people to represent us, so I suppose you had an altercation with one of them there..." After finishing speaking, he looked up carefully at Louis.

"Is that correct?"

Louis shrugged.

"Well, you've done a good job. I don't need to say any more then." He went and sat down in front of everyone. "All of you will go there and bring those bastards here. Paul Borne, Dewey Jackson, Theodore Fortinni, and the businessmen you sent there. Everyone I named and one of yours will have to sell me their companies for 10 million Jens."

Theos shuddered. 'Huh? Buy the companies of 3 members of the 12 for 10 million?'

'Shit...' Fraid felt his head ache; it seemed like he was having déjà vu.

But suddenly he felt that this was his chance.

Not to rise, but to make businessmen richer than him sell their companies for less than he had to sell his position in the Shadows.

Wasn't that a golden opportunity?

At least he would redeem himself in his mind by thinking: I wasn't the only one; someone else lost more.

That's why he was the first to nod.

"We'll bring those bastards here and do as you say, Lord Carwine!"

His words brought the rest of the leaders back to their senses, and they nodded.

"Very well, Lord Carwine. We will bring them here."

"Go. If you haven't done so by midnight, I expect you all to be prepared to sell me everything you have for the same amount. I don't care if I have to point my revolver at your heads."

He sneered and emphasized one thing: "I come from the Red Sun Tower, by the way. I've been getting stronger recently, so you don't want to get shot by me."

They didn't waste any time. After bowing to him, they ran off. They were acting very servile today, which satisfied Louis.

Only he, Jessy, Dimash, and his secretary remained in the room.

The three of them were stunned, but Jessy then understood what had happened.

But seeing the confusion of the others, he spoke up.

"As you can see, Mr. Dimash, I am the leader of these two houses, so you can think of me as the current leader of the southern part of the Industrial District."

Although it was hard to believe, he had seen everything happen right before him.

'Is his family that powerful? Could it be one of the Great Houses?' he thought.

Those Great Houses wielded great power, both political and in terms of sheer might. Perhaps they were not on par with the Castles, which paid little attention to this District, but they were the only ones who showed such interest in the Industrial District.

In fact, the eldest brother, who inherited the greatest wealth from his father, works for one of the Great Houses.

If he were a member of one of those Great Houses...

'I wouldn't be surprised if, at his age, he could rule here. Those great houses often send their children to do jobs like this to teach them about life.' He thought.

He forced a smile on the outside. "I'm sorry for underestimating you, Mr. Carwine. I still thought you weren't that great when you could achieve this."

"Hahahaha..." Louis burst into controlled laughter. "You were polite despite my age and didn't look down on me when I arrived telling you I would buy those things for you. That's already a good point in your favor. You're a good businessman, so I respect you."

That's why he was going to do him justice... Or instead, it was just a side job that came up, and he had other plans for this smart businessman.

They waited for everyone to return.

--

As soon as they left the company, several moderately luxurious cars, even less ostentatious than Dimas's, pulled out of the parking lot and headed toward the Tower of the Center.

No one spoke, as they were in a hurry. They didn't need to ask permission here either, so they went straight in as soon as they arrived at the tower.

"Where is the party taking place?" Jackvin asked as soon as he arrived and surrounded the building with people from the House of Shadows.

Those who saw them arrive almost fell to the ground in fear.

"Lord, they are on the top floor..."

They didn't even let him finish speaking before they ran past him, knocking him to the ground.

His companion had gone unnoticed because he had been making coffee in the next room. When he heard the commotion, he came out to see what was happening and played dead to avoid attracting attention.

When he saw they had left and the entire building was surrounded, he ran to help his colleague.

"W-what are those guys doing here?" The one on the ground stammered as he got up with the help of his colleague.

"Why are the Shadows and Ancient Moon suddenly cooperating? They even surrounded the building with people and cars... I've never seen so many cars in my life."

Something big was coming, but they were just guards, so they turned a blind eye and stood aside in silence.

They could see several important people out there... important in the sense that the City Guard was looking for them and offering a lot of money for them.

But it didn't even cross their minds to report them or anything. No one was that stupid.

Survival meant keeping quiet many times.

At the top of the tower, the party continued spectacularly, and the wealthy guests seemed to be mocking Dimash and his "son."

But suddenly...

BAM*

The entrance door shattered into pieces, and the guards protecting the door were knocked backward as important people and some powerful ascendants rammed them.

The businessmen wanted to scold the newcomers, but their voices were drowned out when they saw their faces.

The Leaders!

The real leaders of this area!

Paul Borne frowned when he saw them.

'What are these guys doing here?' He stepped forward.

"Gentlemen, it's been a while. May I ask why you are interrupting our party? We are..."

THUD*

Suddenly, a fist slammed firmly into his jaw and knocked his head back, sending him crashing onto a table.

Something similar happened to other businessmen who were just passing through.

Jackvin, the man responsible for beating Paul Borne, stepped forward and kicked him in the chest. "Bastard, who gave you permission to cause trouble on our turf? Does your damn White Lotus think we're painted?" He hit him in the face again and again before stopping.

He looked up at all the businessmen.

"You're all under our protection, right? The White Lotus, what the hell got into you? Can someone answer me, who was the damn bastard who got us into this mess?!"
