Getting spoiled in a woman dominating world

Chapter 180: You are hopeless

Yverine picked up her menu, her fingers tracing the edges as her eyes scanned the options "I'll have the grilled salmon," she said as she glanced at the server who had approached their booth, a young student with a notepad in hand.

"With a side of roasted asparagus, please."

Dhayun leaned forward, her elbow on the table as she pointed at an item "Give me the loaded pulled chicken sandwich,"

"Extra barbecue sauce, fries on the side, and a cola."

Brandon shook his head, a faint smile tugging at his lips as he looked at the menu "I'll take the truffle pasta,"

"And a side of garlic bread. Oh, and a lemonade." He handed the menu back to the server, who nodded and jotted down the orders before slipping away.

A silent tension hung in the air between Yverine and Dhayun.

Yverine glanced at Brandon "Did master tell you when the next schedule is?"

With a nod, he replied "A week later, Next week, I have a combat examination."

Hearing this, her gaze squinted slightly "Good luck on that. Though, I am sure... you can pass easily, because I have seen your power before."

Brandon smiled slightly and nodded his head.

Dhayun eyed both of them as she scrolled through her mobile.

The server quickly returned, balancing their plates and the conversation paused as the food was set down.

Yverine's salmon glistened with a delicate herb crust with the asparagus vibrant and perfectly charred.

Dhayun's sandwich was like a towering mess of pulled chicken, dripping with barbecue sauce, with golden and crisp fries.

Brandon's pasta was fragrant with truffle oil, the garlic bread steaming beside it.

They quickly began to fill their stomachs with food.

---

Brandon leaned back in the plush booth, his arm resting casually along the back of Dhayun's seat, his fingers brushing the edge of her shoulder.

His plate was clean and his lemonade glass held only a few melting ice cubes.

Dhayun licked a bit of crème brûlée from her spoon, her eyes flicking between Brandon and Yverine, who sat across from them.

Yverine's salmon plate was neatly arranged, her fork and knife aligned with precision, and her glass of water was nearly empty, a single lemon slice floating lazily inside.

The server, with a polite smile, cleared their plates, leaving the dessert menu behind, but none of them reached for it.

Brandon glanced at his phone, the screen lighting up with the time, nearing 10 PM.

He stretched slightly and turned to Yverine.

"Well, Sister Yve, Thanks for joining us. I'm gonna call it a night."

Yverine nodded her head "Good night."

Dhayun leaned back in the booth, her arms crossing over her chest as she watched Yverine go.

She turned to Brandon, her eyes narrowing slightly "You sure you're not hiding some secret romance with her, Woonie? She's got that whole 'mysterious temptress' vibe going on."

Brandon chuckled, sliding back into the booth beside her, his arm draping casually over her shoulders as he pulled her close "Nah, you know me better than that. She is like a big sister to me."

She leaned into his side, her head resting against his shoulder.

"Hmm..."

---

Dhayun and Brandon were sitting on the small couch as the hours of laughter and banter having melted into a comfortable silence.

Dhayun sat cross-legged and her messy bun had come half undone as she leaned forward, her eyes glued to the screen where the protagonist faced a heart-wrenching decision.

Brandon was slouched beside her, his arm draped lazily over the back of the couch.

Dhayun reached for a gummy candy, popping it into her mouth, her cheeks puffing out as she chewed, her gaze flicking to Brandon to see if he was as invested.

But his head had lolled back against the couch and his eyes are closed.

Seeing him sleeping, Dhayun's lips twitched with a mix of amusement and exasperation.

"Seriously, Woonie?" she muttered under her breath as she paused the episode, the screen freezing on the protagonist's tear-streaked face.

She turned to face him fully, her knees bumping against his thigh as she looked at his sleeping face.

The TV's glow cast gentle shadows across his face, highlighting the strong line of his jaw and the way his dark hair fell messily over his forehead.

He looked peaceful, younger somehow, like the boy she'd known in middle school who'd fallen asleep during their anime marathons, earning her playful punches and loud complaints.

Dhayun's expression softened, a small smile curving her lips as she leaned closer "You're hopeless."

She reached out, her fingers hovering for a moment before gently pinching his cheek.

Brandon stirred slightly, a faint grumble escaping him, but he didn't wake, his head tilting toward her hand as if seeking her touch.

Her smile widened and her heart gave a little flutter at the sight of him, the boy she'd grown up with transformed into this handsome man who carried the weight of a complicated life.

Her gaze lingered on his face, looking at the details she'd always noticed but never quite let herself dwell on... the curve of his lips, nis nose, the way his lashes fanned against his cheeks.

A flush crept up her neck, warming her cheeks as she realized just how close she was, "Damn it, Woonie," she muttered, her blush deepening as her eyes traced his features.

He was handsome... too handsome, if she was honest and the thought sent a rush of heat through her making her heart pound in her chest.

Without thinking, Dhayun leaned in as she pressed a soft kiss to his cheek, her lips brushing against the warmth of his skin.

The contact was brief, but it sent a jolt through her as she pulled back and her eyes widened with a mix of shock and embarrassment.

She clapped a hand over her mouth, her heart screaming in her chest 'What the hell was that, Dhayun?! Are you insane?!'

Her blush burned hotter, spreading to the tips of her elf ears as she stared at Brandon, half-expecting him to wake up and catch her in the act.

But he only shifted slightly, a soft mumble escaping his lips.

Dhayun let out a shaky breath, her hand dropping to her lap as she leaned back, her heart still racing.

She grabbed a cushion, hugging it to her chest as she tried to calm the storm of emotions swirling inside her.

"You fucking idiot..."

---

The morning sunlight streamed through the partially open curtains of Dhayun's dorm room, casting a warm, golden glow across the cluttered space.

The TV was still on, looping the anime's ending theme.

Brandon slowly woke up on the small couch, his body cramped from the awkward position he'd fallen asleep in during the late-night anime marathon.

A faint groan escaped his lips as he blinked, his eyes adjusting to the soft light.

His back twinged with a dull ache, the result of sleeping slouched against the couch's cushions with his head tilted at an odd angle.

He rubbed his eyes, his gaze landing on the TV, where the anime's credits rolled.

The sound of soft footsteps drew his attention, and he turned to see Dhayun walking around the room.

She was wearing a fresh oversized t-shirt with a different anime character, her shorts swapped for comfy sweatpants.

She was carrying a mug of steaming tea and her face lit up with a grin as she noticed him waking up.

"Morning, Woonie. Told you not to fall asleep on my couch."

Brandon chuckled as he pushed himself up, wincing slightly "Yeah, yeah. My back's killing me."

He stretched his stiff muscles and rolled his shoulders, trying to ease the ache.

Dhayun set her mug on the desk as she looked at him "That's what you get for passing out during the best arc,"

She walked over, "Come on, you big baby. Let's fix that back before you start whining all day."

She gestured toward her bed, a small twin tucked against the wall, its colorful quilt slightly rumpled from her own sleep "Lie down. You know the drill."

Brandon and stretched out with his face-down on the bed, the mattress creaking softly under his weight.

He let out a contented sigh as he settled, his arms resting at his sides "Alright, do your magic," he said, his voice muffled against the pillow.

Dhayun climbed onto the bed, standing carefully as she positioned herself above him.

She flexed her toes, her expression focused as she found her balance "Don't squirm, or I'll step on your face by accident,"

She pressed her foot gently against his lower back, her toes digging into the tense muscles.

The ache in his back began to ease almost immediately, and Brandon let out a low groan of relief, his body relaxing under her touch.

"Damn, you're still good at this," he mumbled and closed hsi eyes as he sank deeper into the mattress.

Dhayun smiled, shifting her weight to work on a particularly tight knot near his shoulder blades, her foot moving in slow, deliberate circles.

The morning light filtered through the curtains, casting a soft glow across Brandon's back, highlighting the large scar on his back.

Dhayun's gaze softened as she spoke "Woonie, the scar you got... trying to save Sister Charlotte."

Brandon let out a soft sigh "Let's not talk about that embarrassing past."

"Alright, alright."

A few minutes passed...

"There," she said finally, stepping off the bed with a light hop.

"You're welcome, Woonie."
