Chapter 23: Lawrence Clan
Sairaorg then looked at Luminis. "Now explain to me about My Nephew".
Kaeya just sighed. "Alright time to explain".
One Explanation later.
Sairaorg just blinked and looked at them. "So let me get this correct, this child is a Dragon that looks like a Human, and the reason for that is because during when You (Aether) was putting your energy into a dragon egg, Eula touche and then he happened.... I am sorry but am I missing a few things, because what?".
Kaeya nodded, summarising the situation. "That's the gist of it. Luminis is a dragon with a unique form, and his appearance as a human is a result of the circumstances surrounding his birth. Aether's energy and Eula's touch during the hatching played a significant role in his current form."
Sairaorg looked at Luminis, who was watching the conversation with wide eyes. The little dragon-child's innocent curiosity contrasted sharply with the complex situation.
"Alright," Sairaorg said, still processing the information. "I understand now, though it's a lot to take in. This situation is certainly unusual. But if Luminis is part of our family, then I need to ensure his safety and wellbeing."
Eula nodded, her expression softening. "Exactly. Luminis is special, and he means everything to us. We just need to navigate these challenges together."
Sairaorg, now more composed, turned to Aether. "Since you're involved with Eula and have a child with her, you must understand the gravity of protecting this family. I expect you to keep your promises and be vigilant. But, I'm willing to support you as long as I see you're committed."
Aether nodded earnestly. "I am. I promise to do everything in my power to protect Eula and Luminis."
Sairaorg then looked at Luminis and smiled. "And as for you, little one, I guess I'll have to get used to having a dragon in the family. Just know, you're welcome here."
Luminis beamed at Sairaorg, sensing the acceptance and warmth from his uncle.
Kaeya, observing the situation, decided to lighten the mood. "Well, now that we've cleared that up, should we get back to the mission? We still need to address the issues with the Lawrence Clan and the Fatui."
Eula agreed, grateful for the understanding and support. "Yes, let's focus on that. We have a lot to do, and we need to stay united."
The group then set their sights on the challenges ahead, knowing they were stronger together and ready to face whatever came next.
Sairaorg then looked at Aether. "Still, this will be the first time someone not from Noble Blood is in our family".
Eula just spoke. "Will um about that"
Aether just looked at her. "Eula, no, don't".
Eula just spoke. "Aether is a prince".
Lisa, Amber, Kaeya, Jean and Sairaorg just snapped their necks so fast that how they didn't crack their necks was a question. "A fucking what?".
The room fell into a stunned silence as the revelation sank in. Sairaorg's eyes widened in disbelief, and the other members of the group were equally shocked.
Sairaorg, trying to process this new piece of information, looked from Eula to Aether and back. "A prince? Are you saying that Aether here is royalty from another Place?"
Aether, slightly uncomfortable under the intense scrutiny, nodded. "Yes, I am a prince from my Nation. My real name is Aether Regulus, and my family ruled a kingdom there."
Sairaorg shook his head in disbelief. "So, not only is my sister married to someone outside our noble bloodlines, but he's also a prince. This is… unprecedented."
Kaeya, who was still trying to get his head around the situation, added, "You know, it would've been nice if Aether mentioned this sooner. It might've made some things clearer."
Amber, ever curious, chimed in, "But why didn't you tell us? It seems like a pretty big detail."
Aether sighed. "I didn't want to make things complicated. I wanted to focus on being a part of this place and helping out without any additional expectations because of my background."
Jean, still processing, nodded thoughtfully. "I understand. Your background is indeed significant, but it doesn't change our mission or the support we offer each other."
Sairaorg, regaining his composure, turned to Aether with a more serious expression. "Despite your royal status, what matters most is how you've proven yourself here. If you're truly committed to Eula and Luminis, then that's what counts."
Aether, relieved by Sairaorg's acceptance, nodded. "I am. I've always tried to live up to that commitment."
Eula smiled, feeling the support of her family and allies. "Thank you for understanding. We have a lot to handle, and it's important that we do it together."
Sairaorg nodded decisively, his expression now a mix of determination and resolve. "Alright, let's go and handle whatever is happening in the Lawrence Clan."
Eula, feeling a sense of relief from her brother's acceptance, stood up and glanced at Aether. "We should move quickly. The situation might be urgent."
Aether, always ready for action, agreed. "Let's not waste any time. The sooner we get to the bottom of this, the better."
Kaeya, who had been silently observing, added, "I'll join you. It's about time I see what's going on with my old friend's clan."
Amber, her curiosity piqued, eagerly said, "I'll come too! I want to make sure everything is alright."
Jean, with her usual calm demeanor, nodded in agreement. "I'll assist in any way I can."
Sairaorg, leading the way, motioned for everyone to follow. "Let's move out. We have a lot to discuss and prepare for."
As the group set out, the weight of the situation was evident, but so was the strength of their combined resolve. Each member was determined to face the challenges ahead, knowing that their unity and shared goals would guide them through whatever lay ahead.
With the atmosphere now lighter and more focused, the group prepared to tackle their ongoing challenges, knowing that their unity and mutual support were their greatest strengths.
As everyone was getting ready in the Back, Lisa and Amber just looked at each other.
Amber just looked at Lisa before looking at Aether as she whispered. "So, are we going to talk about how our Crush (Aether) is a prince?".
Lisa just looked at her. "In all honesty, he did give that vibe, he trained with a sword and is good with it, and he knows Magic, but the family name is new".
Amber then spoke again. "Well he did say he from the other side of the world, and there are more places then just the main 7 connected Nation, but do we even got shot with him, he is already dating Eula"
"You two do releases I can hear you"
They turn there head to See Eula, she walked passed them and grabbed her great sword. "Also yes you two do"
Amber just blinked. "What how".
Eula just looked at them before waking away. "He is making a harem"
As she walked Amber blink and Lisa let a small giggle.
Lisa just spoke. "So his kingdom is that type".
Amber just looked at her. "That Type?".
Lisa chuckled lightly, catching Amber's confusion. "Yes, that type. Some kingdoms have traditions where a ruler or prince is expected to have multiple partners, often as a sign of power and alliances. It's not uncommon in many cultures."
Amber's eyes widened in realization. "Oh, so it's a traditional thing. But what does that mean for us?"
Lisa shrugged with a smile. "It means if you're interested, you might have a chance. Aether's situation is unusual, and if he's really planning to have a harem, then it's part of his culture. But remember, it's also important to consider feelings and boundaries. If Eula is okay with it, then it's up to each person involved to decide where they stand."
Amber nodded slowly, still processing the information. "I see. Well, if that's the case, I guess there's more to think about."
Lisa patted her on the back. "Don't worry too much about it right now. We have bigger things to focus on with the Lawrence Clan situation. The rest can wait until things settle down."
Amber smiled gratefully at Lisa. "Thanks for the advice."
As they finished their discussion, the group gathered at the entrance, ready to face the challenges ahead. Each person was now more aware of the complexities in their relationships and the cultural dynamics at play, but they were united in their purpose.
After Aether put another tracking spell on Eula's father's objects, it took them to a cave, Aether just looked at the Cave
Aether just spoke. "A Cave? Why is it always Caves?".
Kaeya then spoke. "Will technically it is a Dungeon".
Aether raised an eyebrow at Kaeya's correction. "A dungeon, huh? Great. That makes it sound even more ominous."
Sairaorg, who was examining the entrance, nodded. "Dungeons are often used as hideouts or testing grounds. Be prepared for traps and enemies."
Amber tightened her grip on her bow. "I'm ready. Let's move in cautiously."
The group entered the dark, cavernous space. The air was cool and damp, and faint echoes of dripping water could be heard. Aether used his magic to cast a light spell, illuminating their path with a soft glow.
Jean led the way with her sword drawn, her eyes scanning for any signs of danger. "Stay alert. Dungeons like these are often filled with hidden traps and aggressive creatures."
As they ventured deeper, they came across a series of winding corridors and chambers. The atmosphere grew colder, and an eerie silence filled the air. Kaeya looked around and spoke quietly, "We should be getting close. My experience with dungeons tells me the deeper we go, the more dangerous it gets."
Suddenly, the ground beneath them trembled, and a low rumble echoed through the cavern. Large stone blocks shifted, revealing hidden passages and platforms.
Amber nocked an arrow, her eyes wide. "Looks like we triggered something. Be ready!"
From the shadows, a group of Hilichurls emerged, their eyes glowing with malevolent intent. Aether quickly summoned his weapons, the Gae Bolg appearing in his hand as he prepared for battle.
Sairaorg stepped forward, his gauntlets igniting with flames. "I'll handle the ones up front."
Aether turned to Kaeya and Amber. "Kaeya, use Gae Bolg on the larger groups. Amber, provide support with your bow. I'll handle the ones that get too close."
Kaeya nodded, his expression focused. He launched Gae Bolg with incredible precision, each spear thrust dealing devastating damage to the Hilichurls. Amber's arrows flew with deadly accuracy, striking down enemies from afar.
As the battle raged on, Jean and Eula fought side by side, their skills complementing each other perfectly. Eula's claymore cleaved through enemies with powerful strikes, while Jean's swordsmanship was precise and efficient.
The group fought through wave after wave of Hilichurls, pushing further into the dungeon. Eventually, they reached a large chamber with a massive, ornate door at its center. The door was covered in intricate carvings and had a powerful aura emanating from it.
Aether examined the door closely. "This looks like the final room. There might be something significant behind it."
Jean nodded. "We should be careful. This could be a trap or the final test."
Sairaorg stepped up to the door and inspected the carvings. "These symbols look familiar. They might be related to ancient Lawrence Clan rituals."
With a nod from Jean, Aether began to channel his magic, focusing on the door's mechanisms. He carefully unlocked the ancient seal with his magecraft, and the door creaked open, revealing a large chamber filled with treasure and artifacts.
In the center of the room stood a figure cloaked in shadows, his presence commanding and intimidating. The figure turned to face the intruders, a smirk playing on his lips.
"So, you've finally arrived," the figure said, his voice dripping with malice. "I've been expecting you."
Aether stepped forward, his eyes narrowed. "Who are you, and what are you doing here?"
The figure chuckled. "I am a servant of the Fatui. My task is to retrieve the artifacts and ensure the Lawrence Clan's plans come to fruition."
Kaeya's expression darkened. "Fatui? We should have known they were involved."
Eula's eyes blazed with determination. "You won't get away with this. We're stopping you here."
The figure's smirk widened. "Very well. If you wish to challenge me, then let's see if you're worthy."
With that, the figure summoned a group of elite Fatui agents, their weapons gleaming ominously. The room was soon filled with the clash of steel and the roar of magic as the two sides prepared for a fierce battle.
Aether, Kaeya, Amber, Jean, Eula, and Sairaorg fought valiantly against the Fatui forces, their combined strength pushing back the enemy. The chamber echoed with the sounds of combat, each member of the group displaying their prowess and determination.
As the battle reached its climax, Aether faced off against the Fatui leader, their magical and physical attacks creating a spectacle of power. With a final, decisive strike, Aether overcame the leader, his resolve unwavering.
The Fatui forces were defeated, and the chamber fell silent. The group stood victorious, though exhausted.
Eula approached the recovered artifacts, her expression a mix of relief and concern. "We've retrieved the artifacts, but we need to be careful. The Fatui won't give up easily."
Sairaorg looked at Aether and Eula, his respect evident. "You've done well. I'll make sure these artifacts are secured and examined."
Aether turned to his companions, a grateful smile on his face. "Thank you all for your help. We couldn't have done this without each of you."
As they prepared to leave the dungeon, the group knew that their journey was far from over. The challenges they faced were just beginning, but with their combined strength and determination, they were ready to face whatever came next.
