Genshin Impact: Selling Pokemons in Teyvat

Chapter 25: Chapter 25

Just as the Ember attack was about to hit, Zhongli suddenly spoke up.

Six thousand years of combat experience came into play at this moment.

Following Zhongli's command, Tyrunt moved like a butterfly through the rain of sparks. Not a single one of the countless flames touched it.

At this moment, even Tyrunt was stunned, looking in disbelief at the scorch marks on the ground.

There was no mistake—the rain of fire had been real, but it had dodged every single one!

Coming to its senses, Tyrunt looked at Zhongli with awe.

These ancient Pokémon were like this—they followed the law of the jungle, where the strong preyed on the weak.

"Charge forward and bite it."

At this moment, Zhongli's calm voice rang out again.

This time, Tyrunt didn't hesitate at all. It charged forward with large strides. After what had just happened, it now had an inexplicable trust in Zhongli.

"Hehe, Litwick, get ready to use Ember!"

But seeing Tyrunt charging toward her, Hu Tao wasn't alarmed—she was delighted. She loudly plotted her next move.

"Hmm? Something's not right." Zhongli frowned. He was well aware of Tyrunt's strength. One bite, and the frail Litwick wouldn't be able to withstand it. So why was Hu Tao reacting like this?

Meanwhile, on the field, Tyrunt had already reached Litwick. Its strong jaws opened to their limit, almost swallowing Litwick whole.

Crack!

A loud sound echoed as Tyrunt's powerful jaws clamped down on Litwick.

It hadn't used any moves—it didn't know any biting moves yet. But even a normal bite, enhanced by its Strong Jaw ability, unleashed terrifying power.

The onlookers couldn't bear to watch, closing their eyes as they imagined Litwick's tragic fate.

Roar!!!

But the next moment, a cry of pain rang out—and it came from Tyrunt.

It shook its head in agony, sparks occasionally escaping its mouth, and black smoke puffing from its nose.

Ptooey!

The next moment, Tyrunt opened its mouth and spat out Litwick.

Litwick was completely unharmed.

Zhongli raised an eyebrow, looking at Hu Tao in surprise, unable to figure out what had happened.

"Haha, muda muda! Ghost-types are immune to Normal-type moves! If you want to beat me, you'd better memorize the type chart first, Mr. Zhongli~"

Hu Tao giggled, holding up the Pokédex and flipping to the type chart, handing it to Zhongli with a triumphant smile.

Being able to outshine the seemingly omniscient consultant in knowledge filled Hu Tao with a unique sense of satisfaction—like a slacker surpassing a top student in their strongest subject.

Since Tyrunt hadn't used any moves and had just bitten Litwick, it naturally couldn't touch the Ghost-type Pokémon.

"I see. I've lost."

After reading the type chart, Zhongli gently rubbed Tyrunt's lowered head, a faint smile appearing on his face.

After tasting defeat for the first time, Zhongli wasn't angry. In fact, he was in a good mood.

"This was my mistake. It won't happen again."

Tyrunt, who had been feeling down after the loss, looked up in surprise, only to see Zhongli's figure silhouetted against the sun.

With that, Zhongli stood up and began pondering what adeptal techniques he should teach Tyrunt.

Although the battle had been brief, it had allowed Zhongli to understand a few things.

First, these Pokémon's combat styles were very flexible. They weren't limited to the moves recorded in the Pokédex. The bite he had Tyrunt use was an experiment.

The results proved that these Pokémon were indeed living creatures, not bound by rigid rules. This opened up a lot of possibilities.

As Zhongli silently planned a series of intense training sessions for Tyrunt, he thought to himself.

Poor Tyrunt, still unaware of what it was about to face, was even smiling at Zhongli.

…

"Is this… Qingce Village?"

On the other side, Xiangling, dressed in a raincoat, stared in disbelief at the flooded land before her. Unwilling to accept it, she took out a map and carefully compared it, but no matter how she looked at it, she concluded that this was indeed Qingce Village.

"This… this can't be…"

Xiangling was actually quite familiar with Qingce Village. Its wild boar meat and Jueyun Chilies were particularly famous, as the boars here grew up eating bamboo shoots, giving their meat a firm texture and a refreshing bamboo aroma.

Because of this, she often visited Qingce Village with Guoba, all for that delicious pork.

In the past, Qingce Village was a picturesque paradise, with rice paddies, bamboo forests, and the smoke of cooking fires—a place filled with the comforting warmth of human life.

But now, the rice fields, bamboo groves, and cooking smoke were all gone, replaced by rushing water, pebble-like raindrops, and dark clouds that seemed to press down on Xiangling's heart.

It was a scene of utter devastation.

"Wasn't it said that the flood in Qingce Village had been contained, and it was just a poor harvest?"

Xiangling stared blankly at the rushing water below, where even ancient trees thick enough for two people to embrace had been swept away. Only the very top of the village remained.

Mii~

Grookey nimbly climbed down from Xiangling's shoulder, staring in shock at the flooded land before it.

When they had set out, hadn't they said it would use its ability to help the flood-damaged fields recover, and that there was no danger?

But with such a massive flood, how could this be considered safe?

Lu~

Guoba's chubby figure agilely emerged from the raincoat behind Xiangling, frowning as it looked at the flooded land, its eyes occasionally flashing with determination and worry.

Thud.

At that moment, Xiangling dropped the cooking utensils she was carrying, the sound echoing in the air.

"Let's hurry down and see if there are any survivors!"

It was hard to imagine that Xiangling, usually a carefree and cheerful girl who seemed to only know how to cook and have fun, would show such an anxious expression.

With that, she grabbed her spear and charged down, shouting as she ran, hoping that any survivors would hear her voice.

Guoba followed closely behind, without a moment's hesitation. As the Stove God of Liyue, although it had already returned its wisdom and power to the land, something deep within its body quietly awakened at the sight of this great flood.

Squeak squeak squeak~

Watching its owner and companion rush down, Grookey scratched its head in panic.

Its ability was Grassy Surge, and it was very familiar with Grass-type, Water-type, and sunlight.

At this moment, it could clearly sense just how dangerous the flood below was.

It anxiously paced in place, grass spreading beneath its feet.

Seeing Xiangling about to reach the water's surface, it finally couldn't stand it any longer. It sprinted after her on its short legs.

This time, it was going all out too!
