Chapter 24: Hidden BOSS and Task Handling

Chapter 24: Hidden BOSS and Task Handling

The three-headed snake, Bikadrak, although it reacted immediately, the Squad had already achieved their goal—the middle snake head's eye was blinded, and the attacks of the three-headed snake became chaotic.

Of course, this was all according to the Squad. Standing at the back corner, Leon didn’t notice any disorder in the three-headed snake, Bikadrak.

All three heads seemed to still be capable of attacking. The goat head, like a battering ram on a siege engine, kept ramming relentlessly at one spot.

The wolf head seemed to be purely physical, biting at everything around it.

Normally, these attacks should be controlled by the snake head, with the snake head directing the strikes. But now that the snake head was blinded, the direction of the attacks was left to the goat and wolf heads, which had to assume command.

These two heads unleashed all their abilities at once, even casting their skills simultaneously.

Although this situation made the Squad scramble to cope, after all the skills were used up, everything changed. Except for the 33%, 66%, and 99% fixed ultimate abilities, the three-headed snake, Bikadrak, could no longer unleash any effective skills.

As the battle went on, the first to fall was the goat head, which had the strongest attacks. It kept ramming at the Squad, but each time it missed, crashing into the ground and getting stunned for a moment. During this time, the Squad’ leopard would attack the goat head with all its might.

Because of this, the goat head’s health dropped the fastest. Before the first wave of ultimate attacks, the goat head had already fallen.

The three-headed snake, Bikadrak, had a trait: if one of its heads died while the others remained alive, they had one minute to revive the fallen head.

During this minute, the Squad had to defeat another head to prevent the revival.

But the situation took a turn. The moment the goat head fell, the wolf head went berserk, shifting its attack focus from the druid to the fallen goat head.

At first, the Squad were stunned. Then, the Squad leader realized what was happening and shouted, "It's trying to devour the goat head and become the dominant head! Focus all attacks on the wolf head!"

Hearing the command, the leopard leaped onto the snake head to distract it, while the rest of the team focused their efforts on the wolf head.

Under the Squad’ concentrated attacks, the wolf head soon collapsed onto the platform.

Now, only the snake head remained. At this point, the snake head tried to flee, but there was no way the Squad would let it escape. They unleashed their full power, and the blinded snake head fell within a minute.

As all three heads of the three-headed snake were defeated, a thick green mist rose from the edge of the platform, quickly turning the body of Bikadrak into bare bones and a strange green liquid.

Seeing this, the Squad leader said to Leon, "Looks like you won’t be getting any loot from this boss."

Leon understood. If it weren’t for his task, the boss would have at least dropped two blue items for him. However, due to the mission, once the boss died, its corpse transformed into a path downward, leaving no room for loot unless Leon gave up on his task.

Realizing this, Leon nodded at the hunter. "Thanks for the help with this dungeon. I need to go down and complete my task now, but as for the rest..."

"The rest we can’t help you with. We’ll wait here until you return or choose to leave the dungeon," the Squad leader interrupted Leon.

Leon thanked the Squad and then proceeded down the path formed by the bones of the three-headed snake, Bikadrak.

Whether it was due to the mission or simply momentum, the bones of Bikadrak had formed a stairway leading downwards, allowing Leon to walk down with ease, stepping on each joint of the skeleton.

Walking on the bones of Bikadrak didn’t feel too strange at first. But as Leon descended near the sea’s surface, he suddenly felt a shock in the air. The sky turned dark purple, and the sea became a deep red. The massive sea beast’s corpse, nearly a hundred meters long, appeared like a giant mountain before Leon.

The pile of bones atop the corpse seemed like pine trees growing from mountain crevices—though they covered the mountain, they were merely embellishments.

Among the bones, clusters of ghostly energy floated. Since most of this energy came from animals, it hadn’t formed any ghost-like creatures, but even so, Leon felt immense pressure.

Fortunately, Leon had prepared extensively before entering the dungeon. He had long known the purpose and method of this mission. He spent nearly a month planning for this final action, using all his materials before finally making his decision.

Once he stepped onto the sea beast’s corpse, Leon began executing his plan. He opened his backpack and pulled out 108 cards.

After taking them out, Leon transformed them all into items. These were all metal rods, the longest of which was three meters, as thick as an arm, and segmented into three sections, with seven mirrors embedded between each section.

There were seven medium-sized rods, each a meter long and as thick as an arm, resembling torches with lotus-shaped basins at the top.

There were 28 short rods, each as long and thick as an arm, looking like stakes with thumb-sized diamonds embedded at the top.

Finally, there were 72 fist-sized positioning devices, each wrapped in metal with a gemstone at the center.

After pulling out these items, Leon began positioning them around the sea beast’s corpse.

His plan was simple: the sea beast’s corpse was what he wanted, but it wasn’t something he could handle at the moment. His only thought was to mark its location and move it into the space provided by Sun City High School.

Once he had the strength to deal with it, he would come back and process these high-grade materials.

To achieve this, Leon had sold off all the items and resources he had gathered over the years, exchanging them for a 30-year lease on a space with shadow attributes from Sun City High School.

He had also traded for this positioning system. According to Sun City High School, as long as the positioning system was properly set up, they could transport anything within its range to the designated space—whether it was a corpse or even a mountain.
