Game Overlord: Conqueror of Worlds

Chapter 23: Three-Headed Snake Bikadrak

Chapter 23: Three-Headed Snake Bikadrak

The next morning, after staying up half the night reading, Leon finally woke up and found that the Squad were already prepared for battle, looking quite excited.

Leon was about to speak, but the shaman stopped him: "Today, don't say a word, lest you bring misfortune."

Leon was taken aback and then patted his head. He realized he was being foolish. Even in a game, especially at the final step of a continuous quest, one should never say things like, "I'll go home and rest after completing this quest," or, "I'll confess to so-and-so after finishing this." Such words are practically the beginning of a failed mission.

So, at times like this, players usually choose to speak as little as possible and wait until after the mission is completed to talk again.

Leon obediently kept his mouth shut. The Squad didn't say much either. After packing their things, they made a gesture to follow and started climbing up the metal ladder.

This ladder, which descended from the ceiling, was the passage leading to the location of the three-headed snake Bikadrak, and also the key area for Leon's mission [Cain's Memory].

Everyone who participated in the Land of Desolation dungeon knew of this hidden boss, but summoning it wasn't so simple.

First, you needed a large amount of flesh and blood as a sacrificial offering. Additionally, after killing the Modified Headmaster, you had to use the Headmaster's eye membrane to open the device and lower the metal ladder immediately.

Finally, you had to find the correct summoning altar. Without knowing the correct altar, even if you reached the summoning platform with plenty of flesh and blood, it would still be in vain.

At this point, most players would try to climb up the summoning platform and give it a go. After all, the platform would have a maximum of five altars and a minimum of three, which meant there was always a chance. Every player would think, "What if?"

However, for Leon, it was unnecessary. Since the [Cain's Memory] quest was related to the three-headed snake Bikadrak, the summoning scene he saw in Cain's memory would naturally be the correct way this time. As long as the passage was opened and there was enough flesh and blood, they could summon the three-headed snake Bikadrak.

This was precisely why the Squad didn't hesitate to agree to help Leon kill the final hidden boss.

The ladder wasn't very long. After climbing for about ten minutes, they emerged from the cave onto a platform at the edge of the coastline.

The platform was located halfway up a cliff, over ten meters above the sea level. It wasn't very large, only a little over a hundred square meters. Near the edge of the platform, there were five fire basins of varying sizes.

Looking down from the edge, Leon could see their target this time: the corpse of a giant sea beast nearly a hundred meters long.

Due to being integrated with the cliff, soaked by seawater, and buried under piles of various bones, the sea beast's original appearance was no longer visible. However, the faint pressure emanating from its body still testified to its extraordinary nature during its life.

Amidst the bone piles on the sea beast's back, Leon could clearly see a beast path, which should be the route normally used by the three-headed snake Bikadrak.

At this point, the Squad had also completed their battle preparations. The druid walked up to Leon and said, "It's your turn. Get ready to sacrifice."

As the Squad spoke, they placed a large amount of murloc flesh and blood on the ground, waiting for Leon to process it.

Leon didn't rush to act. Instead, he seriously repeated the [Cain's Memory] quest several times in his mind before walking over to the second fire basin on the left and lighting the remaining oil inside.

Next, he lit the first basin on the right, then the middle one, followed by the first basin on the left, and finally the second basin on the right.

Following this order, all the fire basins were ignited. Only then did Leon throw the murloc flesh and blood into the farthest right basin, the first one on the right.

With every piece of flesh thrown in, everyone could hear a strange roar coming from the sea.

The sound was like a goat screaming, yet also like a wolf howling. As more and more flesh was thrown into the basin, they even began to hear heavy footsteps approaching from a distance. A three-headed snake had already appeared in the distant sea.

This three-headed snake was about thirty meters long, with three heads and necks raised about twelve to thirteen meters high. The three heads looked quite different from a typical three-headed snake.

Aside from the middle head still being a snake's head, the other two had transformed into a goat's head and a wolf's head.

[Three-Headed Snake Bikadrak]

[Race: Elemental Creature]

[Level: Lv1 (10 stars) BOSS Template]

[Attributes: Strength 10, Agility 9, Constitution 9, Spirit 8]

[Description: A creature with three heads, a subspecies of the hydra. Due to long-term consumption of large amounts of modified biological flesh and blood, its attributes have gradually changed, and the fighting style of its three heads has also become different.]

As the three-headed snake Bikadrak appeared in the distance, Leon stopped throwing flesh into the basin and instead divided the remaining flesh into three piles, placing them at the edge of the platform.

After completing this, Leon retreated to the platform entrance, considering it the safest spot.

The Squad were also fully prepared for battle. They carefully set up ice and explosive traps beside the three piles of flesh, while the thief found a good spot to jump from, ready to attack at any moment.

The shaman and the druid stood beside Leon. To avoid bringing misfortune, they didn't offer him any comfort this time.

Very soon, the three-headed snake Bikadrak stepped over the sea beast's corpse and reached the edge of the platform. Its three gigantic heads extended over the platform, able to see the three piles of flesh.

Although it sensed some elemental fluctuations beneath the flesh, the three-headed snake Bikadrak was already used to free flesh containing some peculiar things. As long as it didn't affect its growth, it didn't care much.

The three car-sized heads glanced at each other, then opened their mouths and swept towards the flesh in front of them.

Although the heads had transformed, the three-headed snake Bikadrak's attributes remained unchanged. All three tongues were still bifurcated snake tongues, and when eating, they would roll up the flesh with their tongues.

However, this time, what they picked up was different. Beneath the flesh, the Squad had set various traps. The two heads on the sides triggered freezing traps, which could immobilize enemies for about three seconds, while the middle head faced a direct explosive trap, which detonated the moment it swallowed the flesh.

At the instant the middle snake head was blasted back, the thief leapt forward, landing on top of the snake's head.

At this moment, the thief couldn't afford to think about anything else. His dagger stabbed towards one of the snake's eyes with full force, while the hunter's arrows were aimed at the other eye.

This was the strategy for fighting the three-headed snake Bikadrak. Although it had three heads and six eyes, only the middle snake head truly controlled everything, and its eyes were the only parts not covered by scales. The key to victory was to blind the middle head's eyes at the start of the attack.
